It's not a usual hotel, it blends confort, luxury and some Cretan flair together, friendly people that made a business out of their passion. Parking issue
It is unique place for those, seeking real Crete life experience. Hotel is situated on a hill in a small, quiete and unique village.
The hotel enjoys a great location right in front of the Sitia Beach and 5 minutes walk from Sitia's downtown area. It's in a quiet and relaxing area, yet very close to all the amenities. The hotel is new and very clean. There is an attention to the detail. The hotel's owners are excellent hosts. They care about the overall travel experience of their guests. The swimming pool closes at 7 pm. We thought that it should remain open longer because we-as many other travellers- were exploring Sitia and Lasithi during the day and did not have many chances to enjoy it in the early evening when we were back at the hotel. Please note that my girlfriend and I are not swimming pool fans-actually we avoid them because we feel that many times they are not as clean as they should be-but the Sitia Bay's swimming pool is extremely clean with crystal clear fresh water (no chlorine smell). We think that this is probably the cleanliest swimming pool we have seen in a hotel.
The room was equipped with everything one could possibly need, like an apartment. The owner managers were as nice and as helpful as possible. We have no negative comments
Ease of getting to nearby attractions along the coast and hinterland by road using rental car. Did not feel especially welcome. Efficient but matter of fact. Double bed was two singles pushed together but still made up as single beds. No English language news channel on tv.
Nice environment at the harbour and a lot of restaurants and cafés nearby. The roof top terrace was not open at Easter - maybe it will be opened in the summer season. The nights were very noisy - especially at Easter.
The hotel was well positioned on the sea front, near the port/ferries and close to a variety of cafes/bars and restaurants. Our room had a sea view as requested and a small balcony. Our room was a little pokey and the bathroom was tight.
