Pros. They were able to get us in at the last minute. Updated rooms, great breakfast, and the hotel accommodated many different travelers.
Cons. The room had a musty smell being next to the pool. The bathroom smelled of urine. It would be great if they illiminated the bed skirts. We almost got locked out because the 2nd key was not activated.
Pros. Nice beds, large room. Nice pool, good breakfast.
Cons. Housekeeping banging on our door at 8:00am on the day of check out. They knew we would be out by 11... Why wake us up?
Cons. Booked my room through Kayak. When I arrived the front desk gave me a rate significantly higher than what I had already paid through Kayak. When I brought that to the attention of the hotel staff they did not even try to solve the problem. The employee said I would have to contact Kayak. Kayak was wonderful and informed me they would contact the hotel to resolve the issue which they did. It turns out the hotel employee checked me in as someone else with the same last name. His excuse was he saw the first name was wrong but assumed my wife was in the car. Asked for a high floor and got a room on the back of the hotel on first floor with a barking dog and loud screaming kids in the next room. The neighborhood did not seem safe. I understand people make mistakes but at least try to solve the problem particularly when the mistake was yours.
