great place, great value. you get what you paid for
The ambience and the size of room.
The bathroom water wasn't going & it flooded the room . The front desk on the check out day was rude ..the swimming is not up to the mark .
Very friendly people in the reception. They really made you feel welcome and hey helped us out with a lot of things. The room was clean and they knew what service is about. And their communication before arrival was very good.
In the room description i remember reading altan, but we only got a small small unusable balcony. Still the room was so nice and we really liked the view when going to our room so it was not a problem. The breakfast was a bit boring, but it was tasty.
The staff (other than whoever stole the money/sunglasses from our room) were great. The pool was lovely: slightly salted rather than chlorine, so very pleasant to have a dip in. Food in the restaurant is good and reasonably priced, should you wish to remain in the hotel. Mr Lim (and others) helped us with the excursions we wanted to make, and these were all fairly priced. The hotel's location is excellent: very close to all the bars and restaurants but far enough to be quiet - we couldn't hear anything from the street in our 2nd floor room (which faced the pool). Breakfast was good, the choices changed each day, though the amounts provided were minimal (though topped up when asked).
Unfortunately, some money went missing and also a pair of sunglasses. They were prescription sunglasses, so not even of that much value to another (though the frames were nice, admittedly!). Other than that, the bathroom didn't have a window and the extractor fan didn't work, but we didn't bring it to the notice of the staff (didn't want other people in our room after the thefts!), so we didn't give them the chance to fix this. Breakfast was great, but they have a policy of keeping the minimum in all the options (including juice / milk / etc), so you need to keep an eye on when items are getting refilled - can make breakfast a little 'bitsy'. It was very unfortunate that the items went missing: other than that, the hotel was a good place to stay for a week. Use the safe provided in the room and you should be OK ;o)
The location and friendly staff who helped us with every need during our stay.
A local bar was noisy one morning, but that's what we expected with the location.
