Pros: What a lovely stay!! Wish we could have stayed longer!! It was so obvious that Sheryl and Mike throughly enjoy running their B&B and all the guest that stay there. It was so warm and inviting, with candles burning as you walk in and fresh flowers in our bedroom and bathroom. Our breakfast was delightful in a sun filled breakfast room. Homemade scones each morning and a variety of cheeses and fruit to go along with our full Irish breakfast or smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Looking forward to our next visit and will definitely stay longer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is fantastic, particularly for those aiming to take part in the dusk kayaking experience at Lough Hyne itself. The b&b is even sweeter in person with fantastic grounds and a beautiful garden walk designed by the owners. Breakfast was fantastic. Fresh fruit salad presented for each guest before a hot food option, as well as a variety of other goods (I had a full fry and a fresh scone, all delightful!). The host was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We didn't realise we had not paid in advance and the host was incredibly understanding throughout. Our room was very clean, neat and spacious. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend the Lough Hyne b&b. There is also a self catering 3 person cottage on the grounds that can be hired during winter months, should we want another break in the new year!
Cons: Zero complaints

On its doorstep the amazing Lough Hyne that is definitely one of the jewels in West Corks crown and Baltimore a ten minute drive away.
Cons: There was nothing I did'nt like. Nothing. I have already recommended it to people and intend to go back this time next year to try the nighttime kayaking on Lough Hyne.

Pros: Beautiful location, delicious breakfast. Lovely to be able to walk by the shore from the house. Nice staff.
Cons: Very slippery floor in our bedroom, Abigail, squeaking on each step, difficult to move quickly. A rug would have helped. Bedside lights weren’t in the right places so had to get out of bed to switch off central light.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location. Sharon is lovely. The two collies are a lovely addition.
Cons: The only thing I would have liked was to be able to use the drawing room which is kept private.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful inside and out. Fab location and lovely team.
Cons: There was nothing not to like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: There wasn't anything we didn't like. It was just amazing. Very warm and welcoming staff and atmosphere. The view is fabulous, and more so if you catch it in the early morning. Best stay ever!
Cons: Sat Nav unit that Enterprise supplied us with did not register the Castle and there is no address to enter, and we had to use a business along that town to find it and it was a struggle as it was dark. We found the back of the sat nav unit stated last updated Dec 2017 (The lovely owner Sharon had sent us the confirmation email that included directions but it never reached us in time). Shame on Enterprise for that. Everyone should know that The Castle is a gem in the ruff....
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Really nice property and grounds - just like the pictures. Room was a bit small, on the third floor and no lift (it is a castle after all - did not expect a lift.) We enjoyed our stay. Location is well off the beaten path. Enjoyed the experience but unlikely to return - once you've spent a night in a castle you can cross that off your list. Kind of like how I felt about skydiving - done it, glad I did, don't need to do it again.
Cons: Only one pub/restaurant open in late September in the town. Food was actually quite good but it was the only option.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location amazing views and spotless rooms excellent breakfast
Cons: Norhing

Pros: Building was unique and fascinating - filled with artifacts. Room was gorgeous - lots of big windows with beautiful views of the water and the grounds. Staff were helpful and friendly; breakfast was excellent. Cute little town with a wonderful seafood restaurant just up the hill. Would love to come back.
Cons: Could have used a little more water pressure in the shower (old building, top floor, understandable).

Pros: Staff were amazing - so friendly and accommodating. I had to only stay one night when it was booked for two and they sorted it straight away and didn't charge me the cancellation fee. The hotel pictures also don't do it justice - beautiful hotel

Pros: Breakfast wasn't included. It was a convenient location.
Cons: The room was too warm and there wasn't a way to control the heat.

Pros: Bedroom was huge and so comfortable. The staff were exemplary.
Cons: Cud'nt find fault with anything.
7.0 Good
Pros: Very friendly receptionist, very clean room and reasonably quiet.
Cons: The doors to the rooms closed noisily, a problem if there had been a lot more coming and going. I could also hear guests above me showering in the early hours of the morning when they got in from a night out. Breakfast was not included in a price that was a bit steep for what I got. Admittedly I was originally meant to be sharing the room and the bill.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked everything about my stay at Coolbawn. The caring owners went out of their way to make me welcome. Excellent value for money. I would not hesitate to try too stay there again.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved everything about this stay. I got offered tea on arrival. I thought it would be just a cup of tea. No. Eileen treats you royally with home baked goodies, cheeses, jams, fresh cream and an ample supply of tea. Top ups are available if you still are thirsty. Both Eileen and Padraig are always good for the chat so you feel part of the household and the family. Amazing skill to have and keep using it. Eileen's love of giving the guest a memorable experience is evident right through the house form quality of food produce, to the smallest details in the rooms (beautifully presented bathroom set). Padraig complements her with his knowledge and interesting conversation and both of them are full of quick wit. I will definitely stay here again and I have recommended it to all my friends and family to stay here when visiting Skibbereen. It is someone I would bring my mother for a nice easy and relaxed stay.
Cons: There is nothing to fault with this property. However if you are travelling by public transport then this property is some distance from Skibbereen centre but would suit cyclists and car owners as there is plenty of safe parking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We spent 3 days at Eileen´s and Pádraig´s farmhouse. It was absolutely fantastic. The farmhouse is really lovely and super tidy. Every room is shaped aesthetically in different colours and has a very comfortable bathroom. Eileen arranges every detail in a lovely way. There was such a warm welcome when we arrived with tea, coffee, self-made scones, bread, marmelade... The breakfast was amazing with fresh fruit, cereals, cheese and a variety of freshliy cooked irish specialities. Eileen and Pádraig are so polite and truely interested in their guests. We had wonderful chats and it was a pleasure to listen to their stories. Thanks a lot, Eileen and Pádraig. We will treasure this stay!
