Set in the Santa Ynez Valley of Solvang, California is The Landsby, a stunning, Scandinavian-style boutique hotel. White-washed with dark accents, the sophisticated, European-appeal to the hotel’s architecture is stunning and unique.

Rooms are spacious, bright, and newly remodeled with warm woods, and elegantly crafted furnishings. All 50 rooms feature flat screen HD televisions, minibars, beautiful artwork, lovely views of Solvang, a mini fridge, comfy robes, Keurig coffee makers, and plush bedding. The Scandinavian appeal of the rooms features minimalistic, bright, elegant design and furnishings which evoke a warm, cozy feeling in each room.

Signature onsite restaurant, Mad & Vin, serves up deliciously crafted cuisine by chef, Beto Huiza. Dishes are intended to reflect the local wine-country classics combined with seasonal ingredients from the California coastline. Critically acclaimed local wines are paired with elegantly plated dishes. Daily happy hour is between 4 and 6 pm.

A variety of special packages can be added to enhance a stay. Sparkling wine with indulgent truffles in the Romantic Getaway package add romance to a couples weekend, while the Stay & Play package caters to dog lovers who wish to spoil their pets during their stay with eco-friendly chew toys, and dog bowls to use during their stay. Pop a bottle of champagne for a special celebration or have an elegantly crafted charcuterie board delivered via room service in the Charcuterie and Wine package. Whatever the occasion, The Landsby has a special package offering for you.

Pros (+) The decor and boutique style hotel is what drew me in originally and it did not dissapoint. The location was centrally located and walking distance to just about everything in town.

Pros (+) Lovely rooms, really well appointed & decorated. Would be perfect if it had a pool.
Cons (-) The included breakfast was really limited - just cereal and some pastries. Ordering breakfast from the paying menu took a really long time. Despite not being full it took 40 minutes for our food to come.
