It's location is great, the size of the unit and amenities all good. Part was being renovated, the whole place was being painted, the staff was less than helpful, they were not informative, did not offer help or information unless specifically asked.
The renovations made it very comfortable and likeable. No
Room is very small. The website makes it appear as if there are two rooms with some kind of partition that can be closed. Which is useful if you have a baby and want to be able to put him to sleep but still stay up yourself with the lights on. Not so.

This hotel stole all of my wife's shoes. Rude staff.
Nice updated rooms (loved the kitchen with modern appliances) especially for the area. Did not receive any room service during my stay. Had to call to get clean towels.
Location, staff, breakfast nothing in particular
Location The site was undergoing renovations. This was not communicated on the website. The gym was closed. The breakfast was served in a converted suite. We feel some level of refund should be provided.
The room was great, spacious and comfortable
When I arrived at 5:30 the room was not ready and as well as the people in front of me in line. The front desk staff said they were behind. after voicing my disappoint they switched my room to a ready room. The hotel should be better prepared.
The bed was the most comfortable bed I ever slept on.
It was very inexpensive. You get what you pay for. If you want an inexpensive place to sleep and will not be hanging around the hotel, this one is for you -- very good value. But things are old, mis-matched, cracked, etc.
Close to Ocean City, NJ. Very pricey on weekends!!! Ammenities in room are lacking; eg: one bar of soap and two towels for the room; no ice machine; power went off twice in room; bare light bulbs in all light fixtures. Furniture needs to be replaced. Very poor bathroom fixtures. No restaurant on premises. I was directed to a WaWa for ice!!! Overall comment: I would never stay here again!!! Please read the above comments: overpriced on weekends; ammenities are lacking; the whole hotel needs refurbishing. I would rather stay in my car than in a room at this hotel again!
No-fault to the small motel but to kayak for not researching and actually listing it on their site. I'll know better next time then to use kayak.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. They upgraded us to a "suite" since we were staying for a few nights so we had a little more space. There was a small kitchen with a fridge and a full stove that I would never use. Also no pots or anything to cook with. Location was decent, very quick to get to the beach/boardwalk and restaurants. The room had a very strong disinfectant smell that lingered on my clothes even after we left. The room was clean enough but the bed was very small (maybe a full?). The wifi was free but slow. You know what you're getting with this place and it's fine if you don't plan on spending much time in your room.
We liked the location There were no enough outlets to plug things into
Staff called for wake up call where none was requested at 5 am. Tv did not work well
Easy check in and check out. Old fashioned hotel that served its purpose. Old fashioned hotel. Nothing was top of the line, but for the price, wasn't looking for top of the line.
Location was convenient for Margate and Ocean City and other towns. Cheaper options nearby will give you continental breakfast and coffee. Budget Inn gives you a roof over your head and not much more. Wifi did not work. Thin walls meant other guests making noise could be heard through the walls.
straight drive to casino, low cost for over night stay, clean and breakfast
Friendly Staff, clean room, great price. Close enough to Atlantic City to be there in a few minutes but far enough away to avoid the hassle and traffic. I thought it would have a pool but it didn't. However, it is right on the bay with windsurfing right out back.
Our room was very clean and comfortable. There was a TV, microwave, small refrigirator and coffee maker. We had a pleasant view of Atlantic City from our window. Beds were comfortable, AC worked well and everuything in the bathroom was fine. Complimentary breafast was great: coffee, juce, bagels, scrambled eggs, fruits, cereal, yogurt.Breakfaast was from 6 to 10, we took some food to room for our child. It took about 10-15 minutes to get to AC. We enjoyed our stay. Recommended. It was all good.
Our room was clean and recently remodeled. The front desk staff was very helpful. The shuttle bus that runs from the hotel to the casino area only makes one stop - The Tropicana. It was a long walk from the their to our desired casino (Caesars). It would be nice if the bus made multiple stops especially at night for pick-up. We wound up having to use taxi's frequently. The cost is about $25 each way from the hotel to the strip.
Quiet room, good facilities, easy parking. A bit hard to find with that address, but GPS coordinates worked. Not much in the way of food around.
It was close to the Boardwalk and had a free shuttle. The rooms were small and old and not very clean. The manager was okey once we had to yell as they put us in the worst room in the whole place. THe second room we got was okey but not much better. I would not stay there again.
The size of the room itself and bathroom. Friendly staff My only complaint is that our bathroom had no vent in it to suck out humidity.
Iit was wonderful! 4 miles from the atlantic city area. rRoom was clean and big and the breakfast was good as well. If the shuttle would have gone to the Showboat end of the strip, we would have utilized it.. We ended up driving and parking...not a deal breaker.. but.. the shuttle would have been great
Lewis at the front desk was very helpful and friendly (great customer service skills) n/A
The price of the hotel is good in comparison,.... But I'd much rather sleep in our car the next time or on the side of the street. horrible! In all fairness, we saw their breakfast and It was good though. The sheets were so uncomfortable and rough, I had trouble sleeping.... My friend's room had blood on their sheets they had never slept on. There was an inch of dust everywhere. It was not uncommon to find small insects everywhere. Generally I felt disgusted just walking anywhere in the room. I saw the recommendations for this hotel, and I must say that most must be really old, or done by the hotel staff. There is no chance of recommending this hotel, unless you do it as a cruel joke.
I asked per my reservation for two beds and upon arrival I was given the wrong room. The person at the counter was told of the error then made the mistake again. Eventually I just switched with another couple I knew were staying there.
Character of place Not much
Good location. Nice setting. 3 weddings. Restaurants and bar facilities limited due to wedding guests. Noise until 2 am from wedding guests.
The bed was comfortable. Rooms were very outdated, had a mildew smell, bathroom was outdated and do not like liquid soap, shampoo etc on the wall where you can not even see it.
Clean place, helpful staff, historic facility, nice location. Reflecting other reviews, the $10 resort fee needs to get squared away with the external reservation booking companies (e.g., Orbitz, etc.). Having staff give me an explanation which I have no insight to validate is unfair to them and the booking companies for providing me (consumer) with a satisfactory response.
Staff was great. Very clean. Food and cocktail service was also excellent no complaints
Older more mature, Valentine's dinner (food good) No refrigerator in room. Asked them. They brought old, beat up frig. Then found 10 dollar fee on my bill. Price fixed Valentine's Day dinner. Service awful. Waited for water for 20 mins. Appetizer almost an hour. Then when I mentioned it to them they apologized and then brought out main course while still eating appetizer. For a 150 dinner that's unacceptable. So service/ bell personnel around. No one helped us with our luggage.
we loved the nostalgic indoor pool, and family recreation room. breakfast buffet was well organized, hot, and had plenty of choices for all. i think that the breakfast could have been included for the price, but it would not stop us from staying there again.
Beautiful rooms gorgeous hotel and very pleasant staff
clean rooms very nice but set up was strange
Shuttle service to another wedding venue was great. Driver was respectful, buses were well stocked, great experience. The clerk at the front-desk did not know what she was doing. She took my debit card as a deposit. OK I can deal with that, but when we checked out, she must of rang it twice b/c when my wife I checked our bank card, there was a hold of $100. Being budget conscience, that $100 was unaccounted for. When I called and asked for clarification i was told that it could take 3-5 business days to clear.
Location was perfect for my trip. Grounds looked great! Rooms need to be renovated. Rooms need to be renovated.
Renovation in progress Loud due to bridge building site and renovation of other rooms. very unclean appearance
The location was extremely convenient to Ocean City, yet affordable by not being right in town.
Clean rooms, short drive accross bridge to Ocean City.
Very good rate, pleasant staff, good location, 5min drive from the beach
The staff was very courteous and the stay was great. The rooms were very clean, and the Muffins, pastries, and doughnuts we very good.
Pool was clean and refreshing Room wasn't so clean
Nothing They obviously spend as little money as possible on the upkeep of this place. Room smelled like old smoke and bleach at first, but then morphed into a cat urine smell. No obvious updates in decades: broken furniture, ratty office chair that belonged on the curb, nasty curtains, couch, etc. Layered couch with newspaper (just to place suitcase on, never sat on it), only touched surfaces through a napkin , never let bare feet touch the rug. But that wasn't even the worst: killed 5 or 6 insects (not sure what kind, fruit fly, but bigger) by the next morning, there were even more - like 10 or more all in the bathroom. Hightailed it out of there at 7am!
It was fairly close to the ocean, allowed for only one night on a summer weekend, had rooms available, and was relatively inexpensive for that area Really run down. Very dingy and small.
The honesty and willingness to serve of employees Cleanliness - lack there of
We enjoyed our stay, the room was nice and comfortable We were disappointed with the amount of food left for the breakfast at 9:30, there were no donuts, very little amount to pick from just bread and the jelly was stale.
Breakfast, coffee offered 24 hours. They gave me a room on the first floor. Noisy and uncomfortable. The corridor smelt like cigarette smoke.
My stay was comfortable, I would definitely stay here again. Need more cable stations and the pillows need to be replaced.
Staff was extremely friendly and helpful Cleanliness of room and all areas. Great breakfast. All aspects top notch.... Nothing. All was great!!!!
Kim at the front desk was very accommodating as we were a couple hours early for check in but she made sure to let me know to call before checking in to see that it was possible. Sure enough the room was ready and we were able to enjoy the hotel and the room was very clean and neat and we enjoyed our stay, we will definitely be coming back again!!!
The room was clean. A little dated but clean and comfortable. Free breakfast in the am is very convenient. Location is good. Good pizza place right down the road called "Carluccio's Coal fired pizza".
The staff was super nice, and all accommodations where quick and easy. Nothing the hotel could control however our neighbors where pretty loud and woke us up a few times. Its pretty easy to hear through the walls.
The staff was very friendly. The location, right off of the Garden State Parkway, was extremely convenient. If you are trying to go to Atlantic City, this is definitely the top selling point of the hotel. To stay this close to Atlantic City for under a 100 dollars on a Friday night was a great deal (it would have been closer to 200 a night in AC for a comparable hotel). Additionally, the free breakfast was well maintained and definitely had enough variety. The pool area was very nice and had a lifeguard on duty. There was also a small playground area and a diner next store. When you think Days Hotel, you should think Holiday Inn Express. I was a little surprised that the hotel is rated as three stars on Kayak. While everything seemed to be extremely well maintained, a lot of the facilities looked older - for example, the elevators, desk in the room, etc. I would definitely stay at this hotel again, but only if I can get a good rate.
Nice to have full breakfast offered in hotel included in price with young kids. The room looked to have had possible water damage in the past?
Everyone was so friendly, from the front desk, the housekeeping staff to the breakfast personnel. Our room was clean, breakfast was perfect for me and my daughter, so all was good. To be honest, it was perfect for our quick weekend trip. Nothing negative to say and I would stay again.
Extremely friendly staff. Great value with the free breakfast. Centrally located near numerous golf courses.
I loved everything about the room. Staff was friendly. Complementary breakfast was good. Location was great, 15 mins from AC boardwalk. The jets in the bathtub didn't work. The jacuzzi in hotel was cold. Room was muggy when we first checked in but after we turned on air conditioning it was fine.
Close to AC where we were headed for a show. It was all good. Bed/bath clean. Hotel is transitioning and doing well with it. We did not discover aby inconvenience Only off thing, and it's not really a bad thing, but carpets appeared to need replacing. They were clean, but seemed older/worn.
I've stayed here on multiple occasions. I love that it's centrally located, has a pool, and that breakfast is included. They are also pet friendly and the rooms are a good size (a big plus when traveling with small children). The staff is also friendly. During this last visit, I noticed several issues and wonder if this is a sign of a decline in the quality of this hotel. Our room was dirty as though housekeeping was doing the bare minimum: sticky carpet, food under the furniture, an abandoned toy under the bed skirt, hair on the shower curtain, dust in the corners. Breakfast was meh (waffles were the best part, other days they had two types of eggs with pork and no alternative for non-pork eaters) and we had to wipe down our table before eating because no one was taking care of that. To make matters worse, I was charged twice for my stay. I really hope that this was just a rough patch and they turn it around.
The Port of Call was very clean and conveniently located. The bed was not a comfortable sleep.
Very convenient location on the boardwalk & ocean. Comfortable beds. Decent restaurant. Decent pool. Outdoor fast food. Clean. For over $300/night I expected the rooms to be nicer. Bathroom was redone with granite but could have been better. Old wallpaper remains. Peeling paint on door frames. Old furniture. Popcorn ceilings
Everything. Hotel Employee was wonderful host and was personable and a good cook
The breakfast was amazing. The staff was friendly. The room was clean, comfortable, and attractively furnished. The street was quiet and serene. The front porch was lovely. The lobby didn't seem to be temperature controlled.
our host, could not have been more accommodating. We could not have been more impressed with the attention to detail in creating this incredibly relaxing atmosphere. That we couldn't stay longer.
Was given a room and when opened door room was still dirty from last occupants. Never got an apology. Will not return
clean room, no bed bugs, very affordable with Kayak.com, kiddie pool and regular pool, large bathroom. 6 mins from albany ave beach, good access to all highways and AC. Wifi worked good. We did not get the strong mold smells in the hallways or room that other guests mentioned in earlier reviews, and we stayed there for a week. Continental Bfast has poor options and is over crowded, Back door Unsecured and access ramp needs repairs, smelling weed in hallways on a few nights, the few luggage carts they had were worn out. They should do better landscaping in areas guests frequent.
Counter staff was very nice Smell of cigarette smoke throughout the whole facility. Doors were broken, very dated facility, air conditioning barely worked .. Overall this was not a very plea sent property
