Although I had requested a gf room or near lift, we had been given a 2nd floor room. The receptionist changed it for me. He said they were smoking rooms but we do not smoke so it did not matter. The value for the room was very good but they did have gf rooms . The shower head hanged down and had to be held up by hand which is not good but apart from that the toilet facilities were adequate. I would have said exellent value otherwise. Restaurent was open and good value. We would definately stay there again as it was also very easy to spot. Could do with a new paint and carpet job on rooms and again no drink facilities in room but for 42 euros one cannot compalin. Again I would have paid slightly extra for this. Good restaurent menu and good value and extra discount for having dinner and breakfast and staying there as well. note. Breakfast itself, on its own is quite expensive for continental breakfast. I am not an Englishman who expects the French or Spanish to speak English. Especially when I only speak enough to get by on basics in their language. I do expect them though to be able to book in properly at reception and in this hotel they were excellent No disabled spaces. It is about time companies like yourself started taking an interest in this. Some hotels like this one have showers instead of baths to keep space down and that is good for us if done for the wrong rwasons but they do not seem to realise what it is like for a person with poor use of legs to have to walk up a lot of stairs or a long way to reception. I am not personally disabled but for a single person to carry the bags and walk with the stick is difficult. And this hotel was a proper tourist hotel , not a lorry pull up.
Friendly staff - very helpful - good value for money Only one bath towel - but had my own with me!
The hotel needs a makeover it is a bit tied but what you get for the money its O.K. The toilet was broken and water kept running all the time and the shower tray was loose from the wall. On the Friday night there were people outside talking till gone midnight.
Good to have adjoining rooms when travelling with children.
Breakfast was good, and served at a convenient time. Having a parking facility was very useful. Rooms were very small with thin walls.
The staff were very friendly the hotel was basic but clean
manager and restrauant first room was disgusting.we were moved toone of the 2 referb. room this was ok but very small
Rooms were clean. Staff were prompt to respond to requests. Rooms were in a block at the back of the main restaurant and had very small windows.
Brilliant staffing, Good value as usual. Always stay there when passing through Amiens on the way South and back.
Excellent service as usual from the welcoming staff No
The room was very clean and comfortable and the staff very pleasant. We found this hotel ideal as a stop over on our way to calais after a trip to italy.
Comfortable bed, reasonable food, free wireless broadband Very small and dark room, external door with path to restaurant outside window meant that curtain had to be drawn all the time.
The location of the hotel. Nothing
Friendly staff, comfortable room, good buffet breakfast Insufficient pillows, air conditioning not heating, insufficient tea bags (one only), inability to have steak cooked as requested in restaurant, limited wine selection.
Hotel has improved since our last visit No bad points
Easy to find location just off the ring-road, comfortable, sound-proof room (no road noise), and a reasonable breakfast in the morning. A Campanile is pretty much a Campanile, but for a one-night stay was fine for what we wanted. The staff were friendly and helpful, offering us a ground-floor room which suited perfectly as we were travelling with our dog.
It was convenient to the road / motorway and there was ample parking. The manager was pleasant and spoke good English.
We had our dog with us and they where very accomadating. Staff very good.
Nothing. We had booked at Glisy to attend the Australian War Memorial service on Anzac Day. We were in a party of 6 people in 3 double rooms and stayed 2 nights. The room security - window fixtures were inadequate and poor. We were robbed of our new camera by a thief gaining easy access through a window - by breaking the security fixture. The staff showed little desire to be helpful and were totally apathetic. They gave the impression that rather wished the problem to go away or it had happened so often before it was just a bit of a nuisance. They showed no concern for us suffering from a theft whilst staying at their hotel. They didn't even come to the room to see the damage done to the window security fixture.
breakfast smoking in the restaurant
We had a family room, one double bed and a sofa for the girls. Quite ok, not much room left in the room after our bags... The room and bathroom (+ separate toilet) quite basic, ok, clean and comfortable. Pillows very comfortable. Nice art on the walls. Minibar small but ok, quite pricey... Staff very nice and helpful, all did not speak english very well/at all. The breakfast was the best of all the hotels we stayed in on our trip to France. Outdoor play area was nice, our girls especially loved the cat family that seemed to live in the bushes... Pool nice for adults, too deep for kids. Free parking just in front of the entrance. Finding this hotel late in the night, when we arrived, was an adventure... Somehow the booking.com-pages, hotel's own home pages and google maps indicated all different places or street names. I understood from other's comments that we weren't the only ones with this problem. Please look into this, it'll save your customers time &nerves. The location was good arriving from the highway, but for exploring the city it may not be the best possible. It took some 15 minutes to get to the city center by your own car. The road is very simple and straight, though. The pool is too deep for little kids, which was a shame, for the weather was really hot. Plus we missed some towels & pillows the first night... which was corrected promptly.
The breakfast and restaurant meal were excellent
The hotel provides a good base for exploring further regions of France and is ideal for overnight or short stays. The staff were very helpful and we would certainly consider staying there again
Good travel stop hotel.Comfortable clean good food available.Helpful staff.A good experience.
Address given via Internet was wrong and not known by Tom Tom.The address on the bill is correct and should be given on the Internet . Not Fitness room !
We were only at the hotel overnight, on our way home from holiday, but would love to return to Amiens, and would like to stay at the Novotel. Three members of my family stayed in the one room, but there were only towells, drinks etc for two people.
In the centre of the old town which is convenient It is a drop in drop out hotel, not exactly the best comfort offering
The room was very pleasent and plently of room for all of us,breakfast was lovely and very good value. A very pleasant stay.
convenience, pleasant staff, internet for guests in reception and free wifi in rooms, pool. buffet breakfast too expensive.
Secure parking directions to hotel confusing on web site (two different locations!)
Best location to a cathedral. It takes just one minute from the hotel.Clean and large room. Staffs are very kindly.
Excellent location with parking facilities. Very friendly staff.
Great breakfast, central location and the restaurant food and staff were great.
Brand new, well situated near to the Cathedral and small eating houses. Parking can be difficult if you have a high vehicle.
We were happy overall but particularly satisfied with the assistance of reception staff. My friend's mother had been hospitalised in Amiens and we needed help with transport arrangements, receiving and sending faxes from the uk and making online bookings. Assistance was always willingly available.
The hotel was right next to the cathedral and a short stroll from a waterside dining precinct. A lovely stopover. The wireless internet was unobtainable and all the staff could suggest was that we go to an internet cafe - rather poor seeing that wifi access was a determinate factor when selecting this hotel.
Helpful staff, nice breakfast, great views, clean facility, perfect location,
We particularly appreciated the location of this hotel - in the centre of Amiens and close to the sites we wanted to see. We also really loved our room - very comfortable and clean - with a beautiful view of amiens Cathedral itself. We found that the hotel did not offer dinner at the hotel on the Sunday evening - our last night in Amiens. With few other restaurants open that night, we had very few options for a nice meal on Sunday night.
Good quality hotel in the centre of Amnien The hotel said they didn't receive the booking.com reservation, so I was lucky I still got a room. very strange
The room was excellent! Breakfast perfect!
Good breakfast, I was surprised that such a small hotel has it's own ovens to make fresh bakery. Even in a 2* hotel, for a price of over 70 EUR a night I would expect to have at least a piece of soap in the bathroom.
Great location of the hotel near Christmas Markets and station. Very slight damp smell to room.
The room was large and light. Staff were pleasant and spoke some English. Hotel was close to the centre of town. Off site parking was quite a walk with baggage. (tho cheap at 6 euros overnight).
Good location. Functional but clean. Outside looked very poor. Breakfast was poor value.
Friendly Staff Friendly Staff
The position of the hotel being close to the city centre and train station makes it easy for travelers to find.
Great host! Hotel is managed by couple and has a homely atmostphere. Very nicely decorated. Decent tv (not one of those things mounted to the ceiling), but mostly French channels. Nice dog and cat. The neighborhood seems run down but it's only five minutes walk from the center and the restaurants. Highly recommended.
For a 2-star, this place is amazing. Clean, quaint, good breakfast. I have stayed in 3-star hotels I was less satisfied with. I highly recomment Hotel Alsace Lorraine. Nothing. Great place.
The proprietors were charming and helpful. The room was quiet and the hotel was in a convenient location. Unfortunately Room 4's bed/mattress were very hard so it was difficult to sleep comfortably.
Very close to the train station, which was essential with my luggage and jet lag Make sure you bring your own toiletries, they don't have the best free ones
Helpful staff No car park; no bar; tiny room
The people were lovely. The room was as described. We were completely comfortable. It isn't fun getting bags up and down a narrow stairway but it isn't a big deal either. We expected it.
family hotel; friendly, good location
central to the heart of Amiens, station, bus terminus, bars, cheap food places but also good restaurants and the retail sector. Third floor and no lift.
Parking outside the door with no charges during August I had difficulty finding the location using GPS and map
Easy location ,convenient for restaurants .Handy for parking and the cathedral.
Very central and comfortable for our young family (two small children) A bit noisy. Breakfast far too expensive for what was offered.
Comfortable and clean, good friendly staff. Nice breakfast and very good location. Also easy to find.
Location and the staff breakfast was a little expensive
convenient location, olde worlde building from outside, modified inside for modern comfort, as best as can be achieved within the constraints of historic buildings. Staff were wonderful. Convenient public car parking right outside the hotel, and it is free most of the time
This hotel is decked out in a very modern style which works well and is very comfortable. The location is very close to the centre of Amiens and easy to drive to.
The hotel was clean, comfortable and modern. The staff were excellent, very helpful and the location of the hotel was ideal (quiet, but still close to shops, restaurants). A very enjoyable stay indeed!
Excellent location near sites of historical interest. Very expensive bar.
I was given a room at the back. As I did not have breakfast at the hotel (it is not served until 08.30 am and I needed to set off early) I cannot comment on the breakfasts.
Good location for central city Small room. Basic breakfast.
Location is excellent and access is easy from the cenre of Amiens I had booked parking at the Hotel, but on arrival I was told that the parking was full. The breakfast was very poor standard and frugal amounts on the table. Not a real choice of anything. Three cereals, one Yoghurt, be early or it's all gone, tea coffee and Jam plus bread. Pretty Poor. The Room in the promotional material looks fantastic and the material reads, immerse yourself in Art Deco Style in the Heart of Amiens. Well I obviously have no idea what Art Deco Implies as the room I got was very small, and not a shred of Art Deco, the reason I had chosen the Hotel. the shower also ran hot and cold.
The hotel was in a good location. It was very difficult to find and parking was tricky. The rooms were quite small and the stairs were difficult for my parents to get up and down with luggage.
Great location, very practical. Basic facilities but enough for a young couple. Everything was as expected
The location Lack of storage space for clothes. The toilet in the room with no ceiling (Phew)
well situated location for main line train station providing an ideal base to explore, comfortable
It wsa close to the City Centre and convenient for all facilities. The bedroom (for two people) was on the small side.
Very friendly, helpful staff. Location good. Good value for money
Good breakfast, staff very helpful Room and bathroom a bit tired
A good hotel, a good selection of food for breakfast.
Booked for restaurant which was closed whole stay!!
Elevator very small,
The hotel was clean and efficient. Breakfast was good. The beds were comfortable. The way in to the hotel was a bit difficult to find as there were road works in front of it. Although the car park was fairly near that was also a bit difficult to get to at a time when the traffic was very dense.
Location is very central Room was barely big enough to fit the second bed.
Cleanliness and comfort.
Poor location, but adequate for a stopover.
Very convenient for getting into Amiens and good that there was free parking which was locked at night.
Price is standard - not a discount as advertised. Location is on ring road. People try hard, but only use in desparation
Good location near expressways, restaurants nearly.
Reception staff very helpful. Room was set up ready for us. Room was not soundproofed at all so road noise was an issue as was the very loud guests at 2.10 am.
Large room with decent size bathroom. Breakfast was good value. Convenient location on the outskirts of the city. Clean and comfortable. No tea and coffee making in the room.
Nothing it was dirty
location, clean, quiet. Good food. The area it was situated in - a trading estate by the look of it. No restaurant Sunday.
The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever sleeped on. No
Good location in the Somme area. Had booked room for 3 people but room was not set up ready for 3 people.
location is perfect, they have private parking. breakfast could be better
Very close to the medieval city and cathedral and also the modern shopping area. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Appreciated the off-street parking. So, would recommend the hotel but with the limitations mentioned below Dark, dreary interior - mostly dark brown with poor lighting and no handrail on the stairs ( not suitable for my elderly mother who was with us ). Also, rooms for two people only included one chair - there should have been two chairs- and there was nowhere else where we could sit in comfort. Finally, although we had booked a triple room, when we arrived, there was no triple room available. At first, we were offered a small double room which we declined. We were then offered a larger, twin room which we accepted but had to point out that we expected a reduction on the price as shown on our booking form ( as their twin rooms cost less than their triple rooms ). After discussion, they did agree to this .
The value for money for a hotel in a central location was good as was the continental breakfast - especially the croissants. The hotel did not have an air of freshness and smelt musty on the staircases and in my room. The shower room was also tired and smelt musty too. The hotel needs to be refreshed if this can be budgeted for.
The furnishings are basic but very confortable and clean, the room was spacious, service good, petit dejeuner good. Ideal for short stay where you are out and about for the day.
The hotel is close to the railway station and easy to get to There was a strange smell in the room and it needed to be aired.
its location No plates for breakfast. The size of the room.
Nothing Rooms were basic. Location remote. Bunk bed above double bed too low and dangerous. Due to the lack of space the shower is inoperable
Low cost lack of space in bathroom
Simple process for booking. Location was good
Price and value for money
Near to main roads & bus route. The rooms were not as discribed.
Easy parking, easy on/off of highway, well lighted, well prepared and clean outside. Great landscaping, open walkways. Good design. Well, I tell you, my wife was aghast with a rather large, damp spot (some 4'') found on the sheets, pad and mattress. Not the blanket or cover, just on the sheets and as if it was almost dry but not, a definate deep red stain, noticable at 20 paces.
Good value, clean accomodation and facilities. Will book Premiere Classe again.
good for family and overnight stay. great breakfast hard to find location. no lifts to handle luggage to rooms
its very conveniently located for a sleep break on the junction of big motorways rooms are extremely small venilation doesnt work very well , rooms are very hot
