location and comfort-- perfect for our needs, all as usual N/A
unique ambience and setting and excellent food as well as helpfulness of owner and staff It was not ideal that one member of our party had to move room after one night. As well as this the family that moved into that room were very noisy and disruptive and could be heard clearly from our room
very comfy bed and pillows. DVD collection. internet access
Delicious breakfast, cosiness, provision of services, such as DVDs, afternoon tea etc.....
The old Pines was perfect for us with great attention to detail...very welcoming
peace and quiet, spectacular views and good for walking
Nice setting, friendly staff, excellent food, clean and comfortable accommodation.
Fantastic location, friendly staff, excellent room and wonderful food. Very highly recommended. The rain.
Its a cozy place to stay with a hearty breakfast and a family run feeling
Decor, Reception and Breakfast were all of the highest standard None
This place was superb. The attention to every detail was outstanding.
Room was very clean and decent. Staffs are friendly. Room and shower space is slightly small.
friendlyness of staff and breakfast menu
The place was nice and clean, well maintained and the owners were very warm and provided very good service with a smile. They were knowledgeable about the local area and provided useful information to the residents.
Peter and Leslie were very friendly. The room was very clean.
Friendly and hospitable. On retrospect - overpriced.
Wonderfully helpful staff, a quiet, peaceful location only a short drive from Fort William. Peter and Lesley will not rest until you have everthing you could possibly require. I am torn between writing a glowing review and keeping it secret. Our stay was too brief!
House was beautifully presented and everything was fresh and clean. We received a very friendly welcome on arrival and a well cooked breakfast set us up for the day. Property is situated in a quiet spot in a busy area, very relaxing. None
Handy for rail travel and getting about by car Did not seem geared to visitors who wanted to stop more than 1 or 2 nights
It was a cute little cottage, with good food and really nice scenery around. there were shops also with a good range of items.
Very convenient, car parking at entrance, particularly as the weather was foul.Very comfortable facilities. Breakfast was somewhat impersonal, would have prefered a more substantial meal as well.
Batthroom was very nice Room was a bit old fashoned
I liked very much the relaxed and helpful atmosphere of the Hotel. I interacted mainly with the front desk personnel, but also the cook, and a couple of waiters. I appreciated the hotel's policy of sharing the tips (gratuities) equally among the 'front' and 'back' staffs. I found the food to be excellent. I appreciated the ability to individually control the heat and hot water in my room. As a foreigner, it took me a day or so to make the toilet flush properly (depress the handle the whole way and then let go quickly & completely) without having to take the tank lid off and artifically depress the float so the water would fill to the brim of the overflow tube. No bad points. Future registrants should know that the hotel is 10 miles north of Fort William, and yet there is a bus stop within 50 yards of the hotel front door, and the buses stop for passengers going to Ft. William, and returning from there.
Receptionist was good. Food portions were good, as they should be. Staff could be a little more cheerful
The room was clean and tidy It was not clear where to go for food, and the price structure of the breakfasts. Also the rooms were very light because of the street lights outside need thicker curtains
Exactly as advertised. Clean, comfortable, basic accommodation, fine after a long drive and you need to stopover before continuing your journey. I'd also use the hotel when I return to climb in the area. Late bar was also welcome. Fish and chip attached to the hotel serves fabulous fresh food, which is also available in the hotel bar. Along with a number of similar hotels, early morning or access after hours is restricted and you can find yourself locked out of the hotel early in the morning if you need something from the car and you forget to wedge open the fire escape door!
Room was warm, Bed was comfortable, tv worked. Staff not trained or managed to interact with customers. Left standing with staff ignoring me on several occasions. Had to ask for several things twice at breakfast...tea...toast. Staff were pleasent but very inefficient - don't know any better. Shower didn't work properly.
We liked everything provided. No complaints.
convenient location dining room location not obvious from lobby.
The owners were really friendly and welcoming the room was spotless and the bed was really comfy. Breakfast was lovely with a nice view The only very minor bad points was no heating was on in the room when we got in and the tv was broken . The biggest thing was not really worth £80 a night
clean comfortable room the evening meal was poor.
Locality, Atmosphere and Attention
Food and Service in Restaurant No bath or shower mats. It was stated that the bath was non-slip????
Good selection of real ale. Service was good. No facilities for disable persons. Inflexible attitude about the menu in respect of older persons who do not always eat a varied diet.
An attractively located hotel, in a small Highland village and seemingly quite isolated but in fact conveniently close to a railway station on the line down to Glasgow.
no young children around
Location to inverness and loch ness no issue
no fuss, easy access, excellent food, happy staff
