Meals were realy great
The restaurant was very good and popular. The restaurant was non-smoking - this meant that the smokers stood outside to smoke. The problem was this is right outside the door to room 1 which was the room that I was in.
My stay at the hotel was very short (one night), but the staf I talked to was very nice and they gave us hot water for tea to our travel home for free.
Nice and friendly staff. Nice restaurant. Screaming guests in the middle of the night. Small tv at large distance of the bed.
Nice place to stay. We will visit them next year during Superbikes Weekend in Assen!!! None
Excellent service and hospitality from manager Mrs. Renate Vink and her staff. Been a regular at Hotel Buxus for the last 6 years or so thanks to the annual Superbike and Supersport races in nearby Assen. Will be back again next year so Mrs. Renate Vink has already marked me down in her calendar.
The quietness and relax surrounding
We were traveling with our 8 month old infant. The hotel did not have a crib available so they put us in a room with an extra bed at no additional charge to have a bit more space. Based on reviews, we were expecting a night of relaxation and excellent service, with a lengthy meal and drinks in a natural setting. However, we were rushed through dinner and were not even given menus to choose our food. The initial food they gave us was bland and not at all what we had in mind. They did then agree to make something different - a fish to share which was tasty. Then we were completely ignored for the rest of the evening, and were charged for everything despite the original food being taken away without having eaten most of it. We felt very unwelcomed and regretted that we chose this hotel. We never got any apologies, just arguments. Oh, and our room had many dead flies...
It was close to where we wanted to go but most of all the couple who run it were absolutely lovely and couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. We didn't stay for long enough !!!!!
On my trip to Landgraaf I found this hotel wich had a very nice staff. It was clean rooms, a good resturant in a nice garden. I can recommend this hotel.
lovely converted barn in pretty village with spacious room and good breakfast I believe the enjoyment of our stay would have been much enhanced with the provision of air-conditioning in the bedroom.
The hotel is excellented renovated, and very nice, although a bit far from a city Prices in the restaurant is too high, according to what they offer
We loved our four poster bedroom with spa bath. We also enjoyed the delicious food served at breakfast and dinner. The staff were very happy and obliging. I would stay there again and would recommend to anyone. The location and cleanliness was very good. I did not like paying for everything (e.g. food and drinks bill) at the end of the stay along with the accommodation bill - I like to pay as and when I have a drink or food, so I can tip at the same time accordingly. Otherwise, no complaints, the stay was memorable and enjoyable.
We felt extremely welcomed when we arrived after our long journey. They offer a very personal, friendly service. The food was excellent. The general atmosphere was very relaxed and the hotel is situated in an idyllic region.
1. " silence is golden" 2. TV had Belgian programs TV1 and Canvas nothing
clean, big rooms; good beds; enough information about the village, like restaurants and events; welcoming staff breakfast could be better
Everything. We would definitely stay there again. No
the hospetality, the room, the service and the serenety no
the hospitality, the service of the land-lady
Very friendly host, nice rooms, beautiful scenery.
We loved our stay, the room was spacious with a great bathroom, and the hotel itself is a beautiful old farmhouse in the Drenthe countryside. The owners were very friendly and happy to provide information about the area without being in your face. Plenty of nice villages and countryside nearby, ideal for a relaxing vacation.
Rustic atmosphere Walls were a bit thin
