Location and value. No complaints here.
Pool was great and really close to the beach! Beds were a little uncomfortable and the bathroom was small.
We stayed at Bolero for Irish Weekend and the car show. The hotel was in a perfect location, 2 blocks from the boardwalk. The rooms were clean. The full size fridge and freezer were also clutch. The indoor pool was nice, staff was friendly. The hotel bar/restaurant had a good band playing both nights we were there too. I highly recommend the Bolero and we will be back next time. Loved everything
Indoor swimming pool and gym Furniture is dated, lighting is dim and dark
It was cheap but clean and had a heated pool Walls were super thin... I saw another review that said that and I dismissed it... No they are super thin. Heard conversations all night by someone who was taking in normal voice. Couldn't regulate temp making the room cooler due to the time of year
1. Resort is very close to board walk and Moreys pier 2. Rooms are divided in 2 sections so we get peaceful sleep when kids are still awake :-) 3. Nice size swimming pool that is safe 4. Nice staff and room service 5. Quieter even though closer to Boardwalk 6. safe
Proximity to the boardwalk
Location is fantastic! Overall, the staff was friendly (ran into an issue with the maid) and the room was comfortable. Maid came to the door asking if we wanted service and and we told her not now, maybe later. We had spent the morning on the beach and wanted to relax before hitting the boardwalk. The maid told us she had to do it now because there wasn't time later. That was annoying because we did need the room serviced, so we went to the boardwalk earlier than expected. We didn't care for the attitude.
Close to town safe comfortable everything you need friendly staff parking Dated intetior no complaints
The bed and breakfast was close to the beach. The breakfast at the bed and BREAKFAST was awful. Nothing but prepackaged donuts and heated up eggos.
The location to the boardwalk, beach , and restaurants can not be beat! Very clean, cozy, comphy, and quiet. The breakfasts were amazing, the owners very friendly and sweet people. Can't wait to go back.
Right off the boardwalk. The staff was nice and friendly. It wasn't a bad stay for a two night beach adventure. Not very wheelchair accessible nor were the room very clean but it is a beach front hotel. The tiki bar plays music too loud to sleep if you plan to sleep before 11 pm.
When there was a problem, the staff was very accommodating. A/C worked well. The pool was clean and the "swim-up" Tiki Bar was nice, but only open on weekends. There were TOO many problems. Rooms/beds too small. Refrigerator broken. 10 channels on old-style TV. No phone. The WI-FI stopped working. Limited parking: only a few parking spots at hotel. You can get blocked in & have to get them to move car blocking you or you have to park almost two blocks away. The elevator broke one day. Limited ice supply and only machine at front desk. The bed was so uncomfortable, we did not get one good night's sleep. It seems this place is stuck in the 70s and not in a good way.
Location to the Boardwalk is extremely convenient. The room was cold and uncomfortable. The furniture was old and stained. Bathroom plumbing old and seemed ready to break. Dirty caulking around tub. Towels were old, thin and disintegrating. Overall, we were not happy and uncomfortable.
Proximity to the boardwalk Very tiny room
Convenient location. Booking online was easy. Cable TV. Couldn't open/close the front door without slamming because the wood was warped. TINY bathroom. Really loud A/C that barely blew any cold air. Uncomfortable bed.
The location is great not much else The hotel itself is probably 60 years old with little to no updates. The staff is not very friendly and they have a no visitor rule; they charge 20 per person per night after two this includes children. The pictures featured are deceiving such as the bathroom being much smaller (and damaged) than the picture. The owners are unfriendly and hover over guests, making sure they follow the rules.
Super close to the beach. Had the facilities we needed (fridge, microwave, bed and shower). Lowest price available. Super small, pool was gross, looks NOTHING like the photos. Short summery: perfect for a dirt cheap beachside motel. If you're a family, save up a few more bucks and go somewhere better.
Staff was friendly. Pool was small, but clean and warm and lovely, with plenty of toys and fun slide. Grateful for mini fridge and nicely stocked mini kitchen. Location was good, quiet. Near laundry and nice grocery store. Room could use updating. Stove top ancient, flat screen tv rather small. Bathroom tiny.
convenience of everything staff was wonderful
They have done a nice job updating the bedrooms and linens.
Nice staff very helpful. The facilities are very poor. The bathroom in our room was barely passable. The resort needs a full overhaul as doors, carpets and walls are scuffed and in ill repair. For a resort of this stature you would think more care would be taken to make the resort aesthetically more pleasing especially since the neighboring and comparable resort has been fully updated and extremely clean.
Great pool and great music at the pool. Great breakfast also
Hotel is a bit tired - it is an "ok"'place to stay if you get a great rate. The " standard "brochure " rates however make it VERY overpriced
Bike rentals were awesome pool was nice jacuzzi was super hot which I liked and they had breakfast also located right in front of the wildwood sign Everything was great
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful when we asked for advice regarding where we should explore during our evening there. We enjoyed the room, it was comfortable. And we really liked the architecture and interior designs of the building. N/A
CLOSE TO BOARD WALK AND CONVENTION CENTER CLEAN POOL AND HOTTUB ,FREE BICYCLES HALF PRICE MINATURE GOLF-9/18 HOLES. CONTINENTAL BKFST FREE . FREE COMPUTER AND INTERNET WI-FI ROOM WAS A LITTLE SMALL.
The facility was very clean and the employees are awesome. The manager (well who I think is the manager) manages 2 hotels The Star Lux and Blue Palms. He gave me the most convenient rooms (probable wasn't intentional but...) I could possible get and they both were great. Star Lux has a separate living room and a small kitchen area. If you never had a suite before you will love it, but for people who never book anything but a suite (like myself) it is what's expected. Outside is gorgeous. The have a small greenhouse like space with a sitting area and TV's to watch. It's very clean inside and is a great place to relax. I love the fresh air that breezes by and natural light. The pool is nice. It's not large, but you shouldn't expect that here anyway. The beach is literally footsteps away. Overall I would definitely stay here again. There is a note on the bathtub wall that tells you how to turn the shower on. There was only one visible knob and it did nothing when moved. 2. The hotel is located at the beginning (main start) of the boardwalk where the WildWood sign and beach balls are. The stores/rides/excitement are a few blocks up. If you all are adults then it's not a big deal. However, walking in the heat with small children makes it very inconvenient even with a stroller.
Our annual trip to the shore includes two related married couples, so we always try to find a place really close to the beach that has a room with two large beds. Last year we stayed at the Tropicana and thought it was okay–not well taken care of but the location was good. This year I took a shot booking a room at the Mango after reading mixed reviews–it appeared to me that the negative reviews were perhaps isolated incidents and need not be taken too seriously. One block farther away from the beach and $20 cheaper, Mango blew Tropicana out of the water! The distance made no difference because it is already on the road we take straight to the boardwalk–short walk away–and for $20 less we got a nicer room (wood flooring), better amenities (flat screen tv and better beds), cleaner facilities, super friendly manager, better parking (they have 2 lots), and perhaps a bit more family friendly, if you're looking for that. We were well pleased with our stay, and give bonus points for being allowed to stay in the side parking lot with our parking tag for the rest of the day we checked out without having to pay for parking anywhere! Super sweet! We booked the room through Kayak, and there were no problems–just showed ID and the card used, signed the receipt, and got the key. We didn't even have to formally check out when we wanted to leave and hit the beach–we just left the key in the mail slot. We'll likely stay here again for future trips to the shore! Water pressure in the shower was light and temperature fluctuated a bit, bit this isn't really a problem. We were there for the beach and salt water, not awesome showers; so, not a big deal.
Awesome ice machine.
I really liked the clean sheets and the two blocks to the boards was an easy walk. The motel is a bit older, but well kept. Could use some updating, but nothing is in terrible need of repair. What I didn't care for: Blackout curtains ONLY. Would have liked some other curtains to allow in sunlight without allowing EVERYONE to see inside the room.
Nice pool, hot tube. We were on the second floor and had a good view. The room was cleaned and comfortable. We got a two bed and also had a table to eat and space for our luggage.
Privacy Needed clean wash cloth and towels and had to wait until morning to get them because there was no one to call .. The office was closed
It was an okay place for the weekend. The beds went that comfortable an don't use there towls. There all stained. They keep the cleaning supply an towls in a garidge. It was a good price that why we went there. Don't think I would want to be there when its crowded there. We only had a few rooms with people from what I could tell. Towls were gross an the beds were hard.
Location to beach and boardwalk was good. Room was clean. Beds were pretty good. Room was not as pictured online. Online showed a little kitchen area, room did not have that. Tub had seen better days but shower worked well.
Location Room size, bathroom
Nothing Pictures looked better than run down motel that it is. Had to charge my phone in the bathroom, but it didn't work, old fashioned small tube tv, clock didn't work, lamp didn't work, wifi didn't work, air conditioning never got cold, bathroom was sweltering, run down mismatched furniture, no headboards, no blankets, had to use comforter for a blanket. Parking was ridiculous. Had to race back to hotel and ope you got a space-which was very tight anyway. Never will stay there again and seriously don't understand how Kayak portrayed it as a nice motel. It was a real dive. Good reviews had to be written by family members or owners themselves
The location to the beach and boardwalk was great, and was still close to restaurants and things in town. We had a nice beach view even on the side of the building. Everything was clean. The staff was very nice. For the price, it met our purposes for a long weekend away. You had to wait a while for the toilet to refill to be able to flush again. The internet didn't work. The balcony was small, but wasn't a big deal.
We really liked the location and the office staff were very nice, friendly and very accommodating. For just the two of us we had a great time and the room was nice for just a night away and it was within walking distance to the beach and boardwalk which was very nice not having to drive anywhere.
Staff was nice. Room was clean but needs to be updated, especially for the price. Too expensive although I did book late. We were told we didn't need a car parking tag when in fact we did and got a notice that it would be towed. A lot of adult party people. Phone did not work.
