Excellent valet and bell service, other service la
The beds are amazing. I don't know what linens they use but they were the most beautiful sheets I've ever slept in. Bathrooms are gorgeous. The pool and resort are quite beautiful and I can't wait to come back in the winter, when I think it will be even more fun.
Our stay felt slightly like an off-season experience. It was a little quiet but more than that, there was only one bath towel in the bathroom, and lots of empty trays were maybe soaps and things should have been. Also, I placed a room service order and received something completely different when the food arrived, turns out we had an old menu from last year. Finally, I opened the fridge to put things into, and there were 2 containers of takeout left in it. It just seemed like they were short staffed or something. I definitely expected Stowe Mountain Lodge to be on point with details like this and they weren't. Finally, upon check in we didn't receive any information regarding amenities, restaurants, etc. not very welcoming at the front desk, which they need to work on otherwise you get the sense they just want to run your credit card and that's about it. Valet and bell service is outstanding however.
GREAT hotel!
The friendly staff and customer service are second to none. We've stayed in many nice hotels and we've never seen such friendly staff anywhere else. The hotel was wonderful and we'll never stay anywhere else in Stowe!
Beautiful area
We loved the hotel and all the amenities. We had a beautiful room with a good view and enjoyed some down time. All the staff could not have been friendlier, even just passing in the hallways.
The only disappointing experience I had was that, in this being a leisure trip trip and having the room we did for the money I was looking forward to a little extra relaxing sleeping time in the morning. The main point of the getaway trip was to leave the working world and busy schedule behind to relax. However the room next to ours has young kids that were screaming at 6:00am, and out on the patio being extremely loud, We finally gave in after 40 minutes and realized that we had to get up at 6:40. I thought for the amount of money being spent a night that something like that would have been avoided or more controlled.
world class accommodation in a ski in ski out location with contemporary design and good food and service
Room and dog amenities
Overpriced food
The hotel is great, clean, spacious and comfortable.
The service was friendly and extremely courteous. The pool was gorgeous. I appreciated the dedicated lap lane. The spa was beautiful.
We had asked for two beds in the room. we got a king bed and a sofa bed. The sofa bed was "OK" with the addition of a pillowtop mattress on it , but it was still not great. It would have been nice to have been gieven the 2 beds we requested.
We went on a get-away weekend and couldn't have been happier with our accommodations. SML was awesome! Highly recommend.
The Hotel is certainly very well appointed and offers luxury accomodation. The room was perfect, very comfortable. We liked the ease of dropping off our skis & boots before going to our room. The spa is first class.
The restaurant lacks intimacy and has little atmosphere despite the very good food & service.
