Pros: The space was beautiful, as shown in the pictures. It was very spacious and comfortable, nicely decorated and appointed. The mountain view through the skylights and from the balcony was lovely and serene. There was a great breakfast selection every morning, and very friendly and accommodating staff. The location was a good jumping off point to explore the High Tatra region.

Pros: had to change booking at the very last moment for a problem with the rented car. the staff was SUPER to help in finding solutions. great rooms (stayed in 2 different nigths) in terms of size and cleanness. very good breakfast perfect hotel to disconnect in the middle of tatra mountains. Pros: The room is nice and the bad is comfortable. There is also a kitchen and a big open space were you can eat or talk with your friends and drink a beer :) The sauna is also a nice thing!

Cons: There's no soundproofing and you can hear everything from the other rooms. We were a group of 6 people and two of us stayed in the room nr. 4, the one with balcony and it was very cold and the bathroom was very small.

Pros: Apartments Kamzik exceeded our expectations! The accommodation was very clean, stylish, with beautiful Christmas decoration - love at first sight :) The location was great - just in the middle of Stary Smokovec. The lady at the reception was very welcome, breakfast very tasty. Also the "Koliba Kamzik" is a recommended place to eat.

Cons: We were disappointed by the additional surcharges we were required to pay. These additional charges did not match our reservation and expectations. Hotel parking was unavailable most of the time. That's a problem when you are traveling with children, luggage, and when you are coming back from a long day tired...

Pros: Apartment placed in a fantastic place: in the center of Stary Smokovec, just a couple of minutes from the start of many hiking trails, shopping center, train station and restaurants. In fact, it has it's own restaurant as well, which is very good, the food is very tasty, especially traditional slovakian dishes. The apartment is very well equipped, the beds are very comfortable, everything is clean and nice. There is a great coffee next to the apartment (Sherp coffee), with nice coffee and best beer in this area. Breakfast was very nice too, diverse and good. And Stary Smokoves ist one of the most beautifull towns in Slovakia.

Pros: Perfect, delicious breakfast with homemade cookies. :) It took 20-30 minutes by car to get to our destinations (Lomnicky-peak, Slovak Paradise National Park hiking trails). The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Pros: The staff were really nice and helpful (thanks Lenka & all!). Our family of four wanted a compact room for a week; Darinka's offer was fine. There was not too much extra space in our room, but the price was right. New building, good materials, great beds and pillows, good quality overall. The location was fine for exploring the Tatra mountains. Poprad's old town was nearby with some fine restaurants and a great cafe. More places available down the road. The breakfast was fine, and the staff provided more when needed. We would definitely stay here again.

Cons: Note: Not this property's fault! ...A heat wave hit Central Europe when we were in Poprad. Most of the hot air went elsewhere, but some of the nights felt almost tropical in our room. Air conditioning would have been a major plus, although we had no real problem without it. We guess that most of the year it might not be needed.

High Tatra's tram/train station is 500 m away, so you can also take tram to other villages or Poprad. *Beautiful view to the mountains from balcony. *Clean and spacoius room, huge comfortable bed (I hate soft beds), *Martina, the houst is awesome, she looked after us well. *Parking behind the house. *Good Wifi *Breakfast from menu. Cold and warm options, big portions. Good coffee.

The free-to use jacuzzi and sauna was a big plus, too - you have to register it on the place, and you get 1 hour semi-private use. The house is a 10-15 min. walking distance from the cable car and the town center, however It was not problem for me, as I knew where I was going

Pros: Back after a year, still a great place. Lovely, cozy rooms with a lovely view. You can stare at the snow falling amongst the pines while eating breakfast (buffet, totally recommended!). The staff is really friendly. Try the bar at the top, the view is amazing from there.

Pros: The hotel represents excellent value for money. It is clean, comfortable and light. The staff are helpful and unobtrusive and the breakfast has everything you might want. My room had view of trees and the Vah valley below. The location is approximately 5 minutes walking distance from the central area of Strbske Pleso, meaning you have easy access all the facilities when you need them, without the noise and crowds the remainder of the time. The hotel has some dedicated parking spaces. If you are in Strbske Pleso to experience the mountains and don't require spa facilities this is an excellent choice - I would definitely stay again.

Cons: Overrated! I stayed in another hotel with less price but much more comfy with all facilities and good breakfast. Booked mountain view, but my room was in level one very limited view. No sheets for the bed by default. As I insisted, they only bring me one. Charged €20 for jacuzzi and the suna was not working.

First day we've arrived, we were so tired that we only wanted to go to sleep, but there were some noisy Latvians next door... probably drinking all night long... So I went to complain... And lady was willing to talk to them and ask them to be more quiet.... As I asked her if they are drinking, she said Yes. So I said this is gonna be like this all night long. And she said, yes rather take a different room. So she offered us to stay in a larger and bigger, more comfortable room with a better view.

Cons: Didn't like the gap between the two sides of the bed... As we wanted to cuddle with my partner and it was uncomfortable to sleep in the middle. We had to take a spare duvet and put it on top of it.

Cons: My wife says, that the knives in kitchen should be more sharp :-) Information about apartment localisation should be more detailed. It's easy to find the home, but there is another apartment there. Hard to find the name of apartment tobe sure, thta we are in proper location.

Pros: It's a really nice homey appartment with a fireplace, which they were nice enough to light for us when we arrived.. The hosts were really accommodating. You will need to take your car if you want to hike from Stary Smokovec, but the value of the appartment more than makes up for it. As a bonus there is a mineral water well right behind the house.

Pros: We loved the lake view from our room and the large comfortable rooms full of every amenity. The breakfast was by far the best I had in Europe during our stay. The walk around the lake is very pleasant.

Pros: Pension Pleso is located right off the road leading into the town and has parking on premise. Though just outside the centre of town, there is an easy and beautiful walking path to the town. Its a family run place and couldn't be more charming and lovely. The check in was handled well and we were cozily ensconced in our rooms in short time. The rooms are simple, sparkling clean and very comfortable. There is a small balcony from which terrific views of the mountains are available if the fog didn't cloud most of our visit!!! Beds are super comfortable and the bathroom is convenient with enough space - one doesn't knock over things in a bid to shower! They provide a hair and body wash which smelled delightful and kept the bathroom smelling good. Enough storage - shelf wise if you are staying a few days, which we did. The rooms also have a TV and wifi was excellent. There is a nice lounge/ sitting area outside the rooms where you can sit and read. As with many places in Slovakia, there place is super child friendly, which as good as it might get noisy if the children played outside the rooms and you want to sleep! The restaurant/ dining area primarily is for breakfast. They do not provide other meals but do provide delicious deserts/ pastry with a variety of hot drinks when you want it (at extra charge). They also have a good bar that you can choose to hang out at. The dining area also has a nice sitting area with a terrific view when not foggy. The breakfast is excellent and the scrambled eggs are to die for. Mother and daughter hold the flag flying high and the food served is just fantastic. Overall, we had a great stay here and would highly recommend it. It was unfortunate that we could not do much hiking , the primary purpose of our trip, due to very heavy fog and rain. But given pension pleso was so good, we didn't mind the relaxation and rest.

Pros: A lovely little guesthouse in a great location, a few minutes walk to the city centre and a few minutes walk from the station. It is also easily accessible from the motorway and the roads leading to the High Tatras. The room was comfy and had everything we needed, including a small fridge, kettle, cups and plates. Parking off the street was a bonus, and the automated check in for late arrival worked perfectly. The staff were friendly and helpful whenever we saw them.

Pros: The apartment was massive. You could hold a dance in there. The bathroom was enormousness. WiFi was excellent. We had to report a couple of problems, they were fixed within 24 hours. 5 minute walk to the station and about 10 minutes to the old town square.

Pros: We stayed at Vila Casablanca one night in a very nice newly refurbished room and we really enjoyed it. We left our luggage at the Hotel for a few nights because we went for hiking. We planned to stay with them after our hiking trip but had to unexpectedly change our flights and leave early. They kindly cancelled our booking free of charge although they were eligible to the full amount. The staff was very friendly and the Vila is very cosy with a very convenient location. We will definitely come back!

Pros: First of all, the location is really great. Near the railway station, it takes only 3 minutes to get to the hotel and 6-8 to get to the city center. You can see the mountains in the sunny weather. The room surpassed all my expectations, a really big one with a comfortable bed and even a kitchen in it. In the bathroom, you can find a lot of necessary ladies' things and even more. The breakfast is good as well.

Pros: Very nice modern hotel, in the midle between Strbske pleso and Lomnicky stit. The room design was as old wooden cottages exept it wasn´t made from wood but it was just an imitation.

Cons: There was no room service in the hotel which was a bit surprising since I haven´t found a note about it anywhere before. The breakfast was ok, but the coffee was very bad and for that money they could have offered more.

Pros: Food was really good. Breakfast did not get boring after 10 days. Supper was excellent. Hotel is next to a train station. Lots of hiking opportunities in the area, it is easy to get to the starting point of many trails with the train or bus. The (smart) TV in our room was great. There were no non Slovak speaking channels, so we watched a lot of YouTube.

Cons: There was no real coffee, just instant coffee with the breakfast. Dolny Smokovec is a tiny village, the nearest shop or restaurant is in the next village. The safe was broken in our room, and was unusable.

But the tram stop is 2 minutes by foot and it is 1 stop from Stary Smokovec. There you find everything. I would definitely recommend this to a friend. We might stay here next time we are in High Tatras.

Cons: Everything was great, the only thing - the zipper on all bed sheets (pillows and blankets) was broken wide open and it was difficult to keep staff dressed in the sheets.

Cons: Breakfast were poor, it is not worth the money. Hard to find hotel using navigation, parking lot is small and it is hard to park there. Regarding the accommodation, I requested a silent room. What did I get? Room right next to the corridor and stairs. Floor is hard, you can hear everyone walking and talking through the wall from next room. It is the only hotel where is no heat in FEBRUARY!!!!! I definitely do not recommend this place. No thrash bag in the room. You can hear people walking, talking and it is located right next to the road. Loud music from bistro.

Pros: Quiet area, beautiful original style facade, modern style inside. Everything was clean and very comfortable, the room was very spacious and bright, view over the Lomnický štít. Perfect location, 2 minutes walk from the train station.

Cons: Pay attention if you return to the hotel after midnight tell it at the reception because they lock the entrance door.

Pros: It wasn't our first time in the hotel, so it is value for money. The staff is siply great, really kind persons. The hotel has now breakfast optipon which is alsi really nice every morning with some extra touch. The rooms are confortable and big. Good starting point for hikeing (Novy Smokovec station is 2 minuters fro the room).

Cons: Some small issues: the wifi was really weak and the plugs are not well located in the rooms. Also we miss the blinder, in the morning the rooms are quite brights.

Pros: It has the atmosphere of a family hotel. The boy at the reception is super professional and absolutely stunningly friendly. He helped us get to mountains by finding information, weather reports etc. We got to leave our car for a few days which was absolutely fab and we were again welcomed so friendly.. great experience. High recommendation for this lovely hotel.

Pros: This a small hotel in a rustic mountain style building, but modern clean and fresh inside. The staff were really helpful and friendly. My room was big for this type of hotel and had a balcony. It was quiet, clean and had a view of the mountains. The bed was very comfortable. The ensuite was small but perfectly adequate and had a heated floor and towel rail. There was a kettle on the room. It is directly opposite the little train station Novy Smokovec making if easy to access the whole High Tatra area. Note: The hotel does not have a restaurant for dinner, so you need to walk into Stary Smokovec.

Cons: The wifi was very weak and intermittent in my room. The hotel is very well hidden behind pine trees. This is good once you find it, but frustrating when you first arrive. There are no signs visible from the road. Its between the Gerlach and Atrium hotels. Use google maps. Motor vehicle access is from the small road behind the hotel and the hotel entrance is around the eastern side.

Pros: Really nice place! I guess it is best option and even one of the cheapest in the area. Super friendly stuff. We where checking in in the middle of the night so they leave the keys in the safe and gave us instructions on how to get them. Definitely will come here again.
