Pros: The position is very good, it is in a colonial building of 1876, the courtyard is beautiful Beds are comfort. Equipment a little old, bathroom is spacious The view from the roof top restaurant is great. Staffs are friendly to resolve our problem but at the end she could not. I would rate 8.7 but there is no intermediate rating

Pros: The moment I walked in, I sighed with joy. The lobby, balconies, garden, and art work on the walls are breathtaking. The staff are very kind. Daniel went out of his way to make everything comfortable. The rooms are huge, the beds comfortable, the large bathrooms are clean and modern and even have two shower heads. The breakfast is plentiful and quite good- try the alfajores or the outside oven breads. The grounds are beautiful and there is a second floor with couches and a chess game. The hotel is just 2 blocks from the main plaza.

Pros: Beautiful place with painting, sculpture. Great location. Friendly staff Excellent breakfast
6.7 Good
Pros: Great location, well maintained property. Good breakfast.
Cons: There is no air flow in the rooms, windows are doors to a common balcony. It’s really hot to sleep when you just want to have airflow. No fans. Staff have basic English.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful architecture, furniture and decor. Loved the small details on the design (colonial).
Cons: There was only a towel on a room for 2 people; same for the shampoo. They could also improve the breakfast
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean and spacious. The shower pressure was brilliant. The location was excellent. The hotel had a very colonial feel and the character has been maintained beautifully. We met the owner and he was very nice. He showed his private collection in the hotel basement which was like a museum.
Cons: You had to pay for the jacuzzi.
7.9 Good
Pros: Amazing decoration all over the hotel Perfect location close to the most touristic attractions Very friendly staff
Cons: You needed almost 15 minutes for warm Not hot water. While staying they did some constructions from 8 in the morning and all day long just next to our room, so we could not rest as long as we wanted. As a result we left a day earlier and after complaining they offered us another room. No WiFi signal at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place in amazing! The views are great and the location is perfect
Cons: It’s all good but I would recommend improving the breakfast.

7.9 Good
Pros: Very nice location, right on the place. Building is absolutely beautiful. Nice breakfast and nice (heated) swimming pool.
Cons: Bathroom was not perfectly clean, but ok. We were in one of the top room, nice but a bit old.
6.7 Good
Pros: Nice hotel, clean and very good breakfast. WiFi was fast and location was perfect
Cons: Was not worth the form room. Room was not clean and WiFi did not work there. Booking said the room was for 10 people but there were 17 beds. Facilities sucked. Fitness is no fitness room but 1 small and bad machine next to the pool, which looked very dirty.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfortable, quiet, excellent location, strong WiFi, outdoor gym
Cons: This was a good hotel overall. However there was an issue with booking. I booked through booking.com for a dormitory room however the receptionist was unable to find any records of it. I was given a private room for double the price (though still reasonable). I think there is an issue with the booking process here or maybe even this hotel doesn't even have dormitories.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful and arranging staff. Excellent situation. Beautiful patio and warm pool. Varied breakfast.
Cons: A little cold in the room but the staff arranged with a heater for us.
10.0 Excellent

9.2 Excellent
Pros: We (wife and I) were there riding our motorcycles, and we were able to park our motorcycles securely inside the hotel courtyard - MUCH appreciated. Our visit was during difficult times due to political unrest surrounding recent elections, with many roads blockaded. The hotel staff were very helpful in giving us up to date information on the blockades and advised us on timing and route for our exit that would give us the least trouble. It was a stressful time but we felt safe at the hotel and appreciated their concern for us and updating us on what they learned from the news and social networks.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: When arriving the inner yard with the white painting and green plants makes you feel like diving straight into that beautiful city in the heart of Bolivia.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location! Clean, comfortable, very close to main square, museums, bars and restaurants.
Cons: Shower pressure. The bathroom could get an upgrade.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was comfortable. Very good breakfast. Location is very convenient, with some interesting sites right around the corner, and close to the main town square.
7.5 Good
Pros: Some of the staff could not speak English but they still tried their best to help. Free drinking water available. Breakfast was good.
Cons: Asked them for laundry services. Lady at reception assured me that it would be done the same night as I was only staying one night. When I returned at 7pm to collect my laundry, the gentleman at the reception informed me that it would not be ready until the following night. Told him it was unacceptable as I was checking out. He said he'll check and call my room. He didn't. Went to reception the following morning and my laundry was ready. Communication was lacking
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about this hotel was superior. Would recommend to all.
Cons: Can't think of anything that they could have done better and I'm picky.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, good room and very well located. The room furniture is old but comfortable and very stylish. The hotel is pretty cute
Cons: no lactose-free option in the breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast! Very helpful staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Apart from being a beautifully restored old home in the centre of Sucre, El Hotel de Su Merced was a fabulous place to stay and I recommend it to everyone. Rooms are spacious, clean, warm, good hot water, cleaned daily. The breakfast offerings are many and varied. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our 3 night visit went without a hitch! Thanks Su Merced!
Cons: Wi-Fi was a bit erratic at times but not really a problem.
Cruz de Popayán - Sucre - Building
6
7.2 Good (187 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Cruz de Popayán in Sucre, you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Convento de San Felipe de Neri and National Archive and Library of Bolivia. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. For a surcharge, guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle (available on request) and a train station pick-up service.
6.7 Good
Pros: Location is good and there are shops and restaurants around here.
Cons: It's a,very basic hostal! Wi-Fi doesn't work, bearly hot water runs in the shower, few lights work in the bathroom. Rooms are basically only beds. No Tv, transparent curtains which give one no privacy. Only good for location close to centre. But weekends could be noisy as loud music came from a bar close by. Basic breakfast. Staff are friendly.
6.3 Good
Pros: I liked the location: outside of the main centre but easily accessible by walk (10min). Also enjoyed the beautiful patio they had just behind reception. A shame I couldn't enjoy it more due to the rain during ny stay. Check out went well and the lady (who was the manager this time) let me use their storage room for my luggage during most of the day.
Cons: The check-in wasn't very smooth. It was a young man who struggled to answer our questions although i speak quite good Spanish and felt I was very clear. The wifi didn't work in the rooms, only in the main patio outside. The bathrooms didn't have hot water. The breakfast was served in a tiny room with only 1 table and 4 chairs. As it was pooring they weren't using the outside area... so when my 2 friends and I arrived that morning, and there were already 2 persons eating at tge table, I had to volunteer to go outside under the rain. The lady preparing the breakfast was trying ti be helpful: she wiped the table and gave me a cushion not to feel the wet chair. But i had to swallow my breakfast in 5min not to get soaked!! Not ideal...
6.3 Good
Pros: The staff was really helpful
Cons: The pictures shown do not represent the actual.state of the property, needs work done
6.3 Good
Pros: Great location near center, decent kitchen and nice outdoor patio spaces
Cons: Staff acting as if guests were a nuisance, super rude and unhelpful. Spring coming through the mattress scratched me up. Bathrooms never cleaned in 3 days there. Lightbulb went out in room and even though we asked it to get fixed it never happened. With better attentive and kind staff this place could be so much better
4.6 Okay
Pros: The location and breakfast
Cons: The room, the bathroom
Glorieta Hotel - Sucre - Bedroom
7
8.0 Excellent (275 reviews)
5.0 Okay
Pros: The cleaning and breakfast staff was super nice
Cons: Doesnt look like a 4 star hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a very nice stay in Glorieta hotel, it was one of our best accommodations. The breakfast was very good, with a lot of choice. The beds are very confortable, the bathroom was very nice, I loved the big mirror, the hot water with a very nice pressure. I totally recommend this hotel.
Cons: Do not forget to ask for an invoice, specially if you pay with cash. We paid in dollars, we didn’t get an invoice and we got from booking a no show. Luckily we have photos from the hotel that we took when we checked in.
Mi Angeline - Sucre - Bedroom
8
8.8 Excellent (30 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Mi Angeline in Sucre, you'll be within a 10-minute walk of Convento de San Felipe de Neri and National Archive and Library of Bolivia. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours).
6.3 Good
Pros: Comfy bed.
Cons: The curtains were see- through so my private room I paid for was not very private, I couldn't even change in the room because the windows were facing the public hallway and other guests, tv didn't work, I was not given a towel and couldn't find owner until very late at night when I asked another guest for help, wifi was so-so, ladies bathroom shower drain was so clogged that I had to stand in a 3 inch pool of stagnant water while showering, the hallway was not covered and it was pouring rain and you have to walk through hallway to get to bathroom so you get soaking wet trying to use bathroom plus the drain from the roof pours inside the hallway so it's slippery and full of water. So many signs telling you all the rules but was never even given a towel or shown the terrace area everyone talked about in previous reviews. I booked for 2 nights but left after the first night, and then the owner asked me to pay booking fee even after I told her why I was leaving.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: My partner and I have been travelling around South America for two months. This is in my opinion the best place we have stayed in. Admittedly there was no-one else here, and it might not be for everyone, but the time we have spent in Sucre has been great. A big part of that was due to Marcela's warm welcome, her greeting and the information she gave us, the advice on what to do while we were here, and of course the wonderful lodgings. We are both very happy.
Cons: The bed we had is pretty hard. Which is OK for us as we don't mind that sort of thing. The only other thing was the shower which takes a bit of getting used to. A very low water flow is essential for hot water.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Easy, practical and clean. Best value for money. If you are not dependent on luxuries like me, this place suits you perfectly. Besides the facility, the owner is very kind and gives you all the necessities and freedom to make your low-budget stay superb. Thank you for hosting me!
Cons: All good :)
7.5 Good
Pros: Terrace with a nice view. The host was very friendly.
Cons: The room was located right next to the bathroom. In the wall between our room and the bathroom was a window. This meant that we heard people doing their "business".
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly welcome, willingness of the owner of the guest house.... Marcela is an amazing host and person who has the utmost care for your comfort and she likes to arrange a complete service connected with the whole stay.  The room was clean, cozy... comfortable large bed, warm shower, possibility to share common spaces, for example terrace. The location of the guesthouse near the city center. I'm so glad I chose Mi Angeline for my stay in Sucre, I highly recommend everyone !!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner of the Hostel is one of the nicest ladies i ever met, she helped us with basically everything. The breakfast was really tasty with eggs and hot chocolate (prepared with milk). Our room was really big and we started to feel like being at home really fast. We planned to stay two nights, but instead of that we stayed four ;-) the terrace is really nice and relaxing. There is a part with a roof and an open area.
Cons: The temperature of the shower is hard to adjust. You have to start slow and hot and then turn it up. Little bit difficult, but still works.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Our host was super friendly. She gave us many informations about Sucre and hikes in the surrounding area. The roof top area was also great.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place to stay. Marcela and family were very welcoming and friendly, and flexible when we wanted to stay another night. Great facilities too.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location is OK.
Cons: Shared toilet lacks of a proper privacy Very basic facilities in common areas

Pros: I stayed here for 2 weeks while learning Spanish and had a great stay. Gustav was an amazing host, always so friendly and willing to help. The kitchen, bathrooms and outdoor areas were nice to chill out in.
6.7 Good
Pros: - It was clean, daily cleaned which was perfect. - Decent wifi if hostel is not full - Friendly staff - Clean and warm beddings
Cons: First of all we did not check that they have auiet hours only from 12am till 8am. So we could not complain much about noise and loud music till midnight. if you need a good sleep after flight or you like to sleep more stay somewhere else. Breakfast was a tragedy you will only get tiny bowl of cereals, bananna, RAW egg, two pieces of pan and something what should be a yogurth but it is not. There is also tea and powder coffee provided. Hostel will need a better maintenance as our plug was out of the wall, in shower was mold and piece of furniture was missing and so on. Overall you will find maybe better hostel in Sucre for what you pay.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hostel is really nice with great common areas with hammocks! The beds are big and comfortable, the showers are always hot. They have a big and well equiped kitchen everyone can use that even has an oven. The location is great, the hostel is close to the plaza 25 de mayo and a supermarket is in 8 minute walking distance. The staff is great, Gustavo was really nice and helpful with every question, everyone really makes an effort to help. I would definitively come back to this hostel!
Cons: The breakfast costs 15 Bolivianos and the staff nearly speaks no english.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved my stay here. The staff are super lovely, really kind and really make you feel welcome and at home. The breakfast is good and the place has a relaxed homely vibe.

Pros: Can I give it an 11 out of 10 ????? Lovely old building with great views from the rooftop. Decor was quite charming and handmade wood furniture was unique and stylish. Beds were firm, but not hard, and hot water flowed copiously. Staff was extremely helpful. Due to contested election, the streets were blocked from dawn til dark, so when we had to go to the airport, we had to leave super early. The management was kind enough to set up breakfast almost an hour early, just for us. Muy Sympatico !!!

Pros: Fabulous hostel! Welcoming and helpful staff, great, specious rooms, wonderful garden, restaurant, common areas and the best breakfast we've had in South America
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The shared mixed dormitory was super nice. Really clean and comfortable - daily cleaning service, every bed has separate reading lights and plugs. They let me go to the room and rest even though I arrived really early in the morning and before check-in. By the comments I was expecting an out of this world breakfast, but it's complete and better than all the other hostels I stayed in Bolivia. The wifi was good. Different events everyday and the prices were okay - credit cards are accepted in the bar too.
Cons: Just a suggestion: I went there out of season but there were enough people to make a fun party. I think the hostel should have a happier bar crew since it's a party hostel, I didn't really feel the vibe. Maybe some games, beer pongs, etc... I liked the salsa class btw.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing breakfast with plenty of fruits, much more healthy options than usual! Beautiful place and architecture. Huge and beautiful bedrooms. Very nice staff!
Cons: Don’t get me wrong, this didn’t make my stay bad but... there’s a lot of noise at night from the indoor patio and all the echo goes up to the rooms and it was impossible to sleep before everybody left the patio. Plus lot of noise from the street late night and early morning so if you have a room between patio and street don’t expect to get more than 6-7h of sleep.....
6.0 Good
Pros: The overall hostel is clean and in a nice building. Breakfast was very average. Good social scene.
Cons: Single private room was not good at all. Door jams, the shared shower is filled with mosquitoes and has a strange window with no glass (so you can completely see inside and have no privacy whilst in the shower), and the shared toilet has a terrible lock that jams and needs to be replaced. I was stuck in there for 20m because the lock just jammed and wouldnt open!
6.0 Good
Pros: The included breakfast was nice with a lots of tresh fruit. Everything was in walkable distance. The rooms were cleaned everyday.
Cons: We had some mold in our room. The room was quite cold. The shower curtain was too short and the whole bathromm was wet after showering. There was a party going on every night and it was difficult to sleep.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Awesome staff, affordable prices, inclusive culture show/night club and breakfast. Incredible value for an all in one experience.

Pros: TV, comfy bed, decent breakfast, well situated
Cons: My room was in the corridor and has no external windows. Also not so obvious how to turn on the hot water for a shower and that wasn't explained to me upon arrival

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The price The staff The location
Cons: The bed was a bit soft and there was a loud dog that kept us up at night.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: This place was great. The location was fantastic - very close to the markets and main square. The Host was amazing - she was SO NICE! She even got up super early on my last day to make me an egg so I wouldn't miss my breakfast ahead of leaving early for the airport. There is a great sunroom and the rooms all have a TV. There are a lot of flowers and you can tell the hosts really care about the property.
Cons: It was all great - especially for the price range - hard to beat.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The rooms open up to a courtyard which gives it a nice feel Pleasant helpful staff Good location Good vibe
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner is very kind and helps you with tourist information.
Cons: The kitchen closed early.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely host. As the room was not occupied and I had a night bus - she let me keep the room and the bags inside the room. Great location. Quiet and close to the main square
Cons: Noise travels. So the cleaning lady should be mindful of that in the morning. I was woken around 7am (having arrived at 1130pm the night before on a 12 hour bus journey) by her talking and moving chairs around

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Can I give it an 11 out of 10 ????? Lovely old building with great views from the rooftop. Decor was quite charming and handmade wood furniture was unique and stylish. Beds were firm, but not hard, and hot water flowed copiously. Staff was extremely helpful. Due to contested election, the streets were blocked from dawn til dark, so when we had to go to the airport, we had to leave super early. The management was kind enough to set up breakfast almost an hour early, just for us. Muy Sympatico !!!
Cons: Zip, zero, nada

6.0 Good
Pros: The location was very good, very close to center and museums too. About breakfast, also was very healthy, fruits, cereals, milk, coffee, breads and eggs, juices and the room beautiful with very antique colonial adorns. This Hostel Sucre, its very beautiful colonial style.
Cons: The only thing I have a complain its about the cable TV, it has a poor connection and wasn't flat and the size too small. The wardrobe was not very good (the door I can't opened because the wall go over the right door) the room at the time I booked, looked more bigger than it was at the time I stay.

Pros: Everything was so nice. And I miss Mango.
Cons: The only problem is weak Wi-Fi
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good location, friendly staff. Nice room with acceptable bathroom
Cons: Everytime you want to get in or out you have to ring the doorbell
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great secure parking for our motorcycle. Big, bright room with heater. Very close to the centre of town. Lovely outdoor seating area in a great garden, complete with hummingbirds.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's a lovely place and I was able to get some much needed rest without any interruptions (with the windows open). The atmosphere and scenery were great. The staff was very friendly, and I believe that they're a family (you can see the camaraderie). I loved the view from my window. The water is a nice temperature for a shower. It just felt like home. I hope that everyone stays here, but it's not for people who are looking to party, just those who really want to relax and take it easy for a bit. I didn't eat any breakfast here. El Patio is down the street, so...
Cons: Put the ash trays on the tables in the garden so that they're easier to spot. I kept using my foot before realizing the shell ashtray... Really, there's nothing to complain about.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The service was really nice, helpfull and uncomplicaded. The room was tiny but we had everything we needed, as well as our own bathroom.
Cons: I am not sure if there would have been access to a kitchen for the guests. If you need one better aks to make sure you can use their kitchen before you book.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Check in Little spot were was the room
Cons: Little bit of noise from the neighbors
7.0 Good
Pros: Room for early check in, huge well equipped kitchen and nice courtyard. Flowers and lovely trees that entice an assortment of wildlife, safe within a compound with free luggage storage lockup. Friendly staff family run
Cons: This property would benefit by including breakfast. Neighbouring dogs barking, now this is common in most of Latin America but the barking constantly was next level. Drain smell in room.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The location was fab. Less than 10 minute walk to the main plaza. The garden area is pretty.
Cons: The WiFi 95% does not work. So frustrating. They don’t give you towels. Bathroom is tiny with only 1 handle in the shower, cannot adjust temperature. None of the staff speak English, not that it is an essential requirement, but it’s a little awkward never being able to communicate or find out about the local restaurants etc. There is no cleaning between your length of stay, therefore have to keep asking for toilet roll.
