Pros: The Knob Hill Inn is the best hotel in the Sun Valley area. Rooms are spacious and well appointed with nice amenities. The included breakfast is cooked to order. The restaurant or grille has an extensive menu and is popular with locals. The people are friendly and helpful. There is a littleused, at least in my four stays, indoor pool.
Cons: Now that the restaurant has been expanded, the parking lot fills in the evening and hotel guests don't have a place to park at times.
At Knob Hill Inn, you'll be near winter activities like downhill skiing, snowboarding, and cross-country skiing. The indoor pool is a great spot to take a dip, and guests can grab a bite to eat at The Grill at Knob Hill, which serves regional cuisine and is open for dinner. A bar/lounge and a fitness center are offered, and rooms get the details right with iPod docks and down comforters. Ski storage is also available.
Pros: Great front desk staff
Pros: Rooms are very nice. Staff was very friendly.
Cons: Could hear the room above flushing the toilet all night long.
Pros: i appreciated that the products in the bathroom were organic and did not have added chemical fragrance as I have horrible allergies. My stay was much more pleasant with my allergies not going crazy!
Pros: Location, service and amenities.
Cons: What like real butter at breakfast
Pros: The breakfast was very diverse and delicious. The room was very welcoming and clean. The staff was very helpful and polite.
Cons: The refrigerator made a lot of noise, so it had to be unplugged. I wish the room had a small night light so that I was not in total darkness every time I got up to use the restroom. If I turned the light on, the kids would wake up because it was too bright.
Cons: Everything was what I expected for what I paid, but I think there's a ground issue with the fire alarm because it went off while I was asleep; and had to rush out to the parking lot in my pajamas. The attendant was unable to turn the alarm off and had to wait for the Hailey police department. Much later (like the building would have already burned down had it really been on fire) the fire department arrive and investigated. There was no fire, smoke, or alarms levers pulled. The fire alarm just randomly went off.

Pros: Great insulation. Quite quiet. Only 11-12 miles from Sun Valley and prices much more reasonable.
Cons: Room was a "disabled" room and we were not disabled, and we did not ask for one when we made reservations 2 weeks prior to stay.. Bathrooms were very small. Some initial problems with door key cards, but worked out later.
Pros: Whirlpool was great and the bed was super comfortable.
Cons: The bathroom had some fixture issues and there was a little mold around the top of the shower.

Ketchum is more than our newest home. It’s our kindred spirit. It’s the big brother we never had. It helps remind us who we are — a hotel that threw the hotel rulebook out the window. And it’s given us the freedom to get the important stuff right. It’s a lounge that’s slowly becoming the center of town, a staff that holds Ketchum’s treasures close to its heart, and a passion for making our guests feel as comfortable as the town has done for us. Limelight Hotel and Residences in Ketchum is slated to open in December of 2016 with 99 welcoming hotel rooms and 14 expansive residences. It’s not a place of marble and brass, meant to shelter those inside from the bustle. Instead, it’s a porous place of wood and glass that invites the mountains inside. The service is impeccable but casual, the décor rustically modern, and the attitude always warm and welcoming.
Pros: It was our first time at a B&B, we liked the personal feeling and Gabriele was so great to help us with everything and anything that we needed. It was fun to sit down with the other people staying there at breakfast and learn about them and their trips and lives.
Cons: The only down side to the trip was their was no air conditioning in the rooms which made it a bit uncomfortable to sleep at night because it was pretty hot.
Pros: Very quaint and comfortable. Our host was so accomodating. Loved our room.
Cons: Could hear bathrooms etc.
The Inn at Ellsworth Estate is just 0.9 mi (1.5 km) from the airport and offers a free shuttle at scheduled times. Guests can enjoy the outdoor tennis court, along with onsite snowshoeing.
Pros: The staff was incredibly friendly. The doormen especially went out of their way to give us a friendly and helpful welcome. Even the gardeners were friendly and full of smiles. One told me about interesting features such as the profusion of Christmas and the heated sidewalks. Everyone seemed happy to be there.
Cons: I went to the meeting spot for the 9 am Monday morning hike and the guide did not show up or call the Sport shop to alert hikers. I told the Concierge the night before I was going and was told it was not necessary to register.
Pros: The historical aspect of this lodging is the most valuable aspect of the Lodge and the Village. I hope that the remodeling will preserve and possibly even further emphasize the rich history of Sun Valley Lodge and skiing in Sun Valley.

Pros: > The woman (Amy, I think) at the check-in office was extremely pleasant and helpful.
> Room was clean and pleasant
> Gas fireplace
Cons: > The check-in office was on the other side of town
> The hallways smell funky (trash/refuse) and are a bit maze-like
Cons: The address that was listed on our Kayak reservation was in the wrong city. It was pretty unbelievable. It took over an hour to find the property. It was a horrible experience trying to find the property.
Cons: No reception on property. Key pickup at remote location with no information and no unit location map available
with key pickup or on the property. We arrived at night. It was pitch black and it took one hour to find the two units we had booked. The condo name that we were looking for was inside a building on a wall. There was NOTHING on the exterior to indicate the location of the units.
It was a complete rip off for $181.00!. The unit was old and tiny. The one amenity, which I guess was coffee, was only a decafe.
Pros: I'm an Idahoan and love Sun Valley and have stayed at Elkhorn and other resorts before.
I woldn't recommend the studio condo for 2 peopple with ski gear (tight fit) but summertime it's fine.
Cons: Instructions about key pick up - instead of saying that the Tamarck Lodge Hotel right in Ketchum handles the keys, you are led to believe there is a Tamarack Lodge in Elkhorn Village - very confusing. Just give out the instruction that another local hotel, right downtown, handles the keys. Elkhorn is back a bit in the mountains.
Pros: The best thing about Tamarack is location. It's just two blocks from Main Street in Ketchum , and we were able to walk everywhere.
Pros: The room was great, the bed was super comfy. We just finished a 25 mile backpacking trip so comfort was what was important. I'm was very clean and great location, it was walking distance to all the shops and resturants. Great balcony for our room we were in 211.
Cons: The "jacuzzi" is just a jacuzzi you would find in a normal home. It didn't feel super clean. And the bathroom sink was kind of clogged. Other than those two things it was a great stay!
Pros: Tamarack Lodge provides a great downtown Ketchum location within easy walking distance to coffee shops, a wide range of restaurants, and shopping. Plenty of parking. Our grand kids enjoyed the swimming pool. The room itself was quite large with room for two pack-n-plays and still penty of room for the babies to run around. The room included a small balcony accessed through a sliding glass door.
Cons: The in-room bathrooms have probably not been updated in some time. They were clean but could use some updating. Still, for the price, we are certainly NOT complaining.
At Tamarack Lodge, you'll be near winter activities like downhill skiing, snowboarding, and cross-country skiing. Guests can take a dip in the indoor pool, and the spa tub makes for a relaxing end to a day on the slopes. Rooms feature bonuses like refrigerators and microwaves, along with iPod docks and flat-screen TVs.
I have traveled alot by myself. Have come to realize that the staff mean more than the bargin. And the staff here went above and beyond. Both Carol the manager and Timbery at the desk were the best ambasadors of kindness and professionalism twords me. Thanks it ment alot
That I didnt have more time to enjoy the area.
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, microwave and fridge. Quiet, rural-type setting, even though located in town close to the airport.
Cons: Limited facilities--no breakfast room, but they bring it to you the night before so you can heat it up in the morning. No swimming pool, but there is a hot tub. The ice machine did not work the entire time we were there. The stopper in the bathtub did not go all the way up, so the water leaked out. I put a folded up wash cloth over the drain and held it in place with a lot of pressure; that was the only way to take a bath.
A great choice for a stay in Hailey, Airport Inn is just 0.9 mi (1.5 km) from the airport. Guests can enjoy the spa tub, and cross-country skiing and downhill skiing are nearby. Rooms feature bonuses like refrigerators and microwaves.
Pros: Staff super friendly and helpful
Bathroom grout needs help
Having a bathtub was wonderful
Loved the big fireplace in lobby
Fruit and cookies hot chocolate, coffee and tea in lobby were added
Microwave and refrigerator was appreciated.
Cons: Maintainance lacking
Pros: Walking distance to town.
Cons: Bugs in room, Bathroom very dated, no water pressure in shower and wouldn't work. Went to get ice and after several tries realized the machine was unplugged. No sign stating Out of Order, went to the front desk to report, and ask about the next location for ice, the janitor accosted me for even suggesting a sign on the machine, big guy with a very bad attitude. The TV only got one station and it was in and out, no coffee in room, no breakfast, no nothing.
Pros: Location was very good for wandering around Ketchum. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and staff were attentive. Bathroom a little dated but great powerful shower.
Cons: No internet access in our room/block (block B), so we had to go to reception to receive and send emails.
Pros: Close proximity to restaurants and entertainment.
Cons: Looked run down...In need of remodeling. Floors creaking, furnishings looked old and in need of replacement. Bed was terrible. The ONLY thing this hotel had going for it was its close walking distance to Ketchum city center. At one point it was a Clarion but probably lost its branding due to poor upkeep.
The Bellemont Hotel is an affordable lodging option in Downtown Ketchum, just minutes from Sun Valley Resort. Conveniently located walking distance to shops and restaurants, the Bellemont offers a comfortable and convenient location to enjoy all of the activities the Sun Valley area has to offer.
