A beautiful, historic inn now run mainly as a businessman's hotel, seemingly for visiting delegations for the immense number of automotive firms around Stuttgart (Porsche HQ is about 3 miles away). The lady at breakfast cooked an egg to order, and remembered what I wanted for the next day without asking. I think the owners might be the most pleasant innkeepers I've ever met. The on-premises restaurant was a little pricey for me (with the weak dollar, the meal was about $30) but I don't complain because the food was exceptional. Rooms were very worn. I know this is an odd thing to say since the building is a few centuries old, but there was mildew coating the showers and cigarette burns on carpet and you can immediately tell that there is a relentless procession of people just like me coming through.
the hotel looks very nice from the outside. The rooms are big enough but very ordinary and standard The hotel room was overlooking the street, it was too noisy because of the cars passing. Everage restaurant.
Breakfast was reasonable, rooms were clean and comfortable. I did not like being called by the hotel staff at 9.35am because i was 5 minutes late for breakfast. I did not like the cleaner trying to get into my room while i was getting ready for breakfast at 9.25am.
the excellent service and frienly staff who remember your name and try to fullfill special requests.
Hotel was nice, food was good Isolation not that good: could hear cars down the street, I did hear people in the hall.
Friendly staff, good room with character poor internet access and low lighting!
All excellent Poor bar service / no light snacks on the menu
The size of the room The buffet was over priced. One morning after the tour bus crowd had finished there was hardly anything left to the buffet and they did not replenish anything for the remaining guests who had yet to eat breakfast. We spent three nights and the mini bar did not get replenished the first day. Both days the wash cloths were missing and the bed linens were not changed the entire time we were there.
excellent services & food everything was allright
Friendly staff, uncomplicated. Strong smell of smoke when you walked from the hotel lobby to the elevator. Disgusting, but a minor nuisance.
It is in a nice building, originally built for military purposes, now well restored and converted into a hotel.
Location. Rifght next to a very nice big park. Also great breakfast, and great restaurant for lunch and dinner. Rooms are very spacious. As the hotel is set back from the road, it is also very quiet. The furnishings of the room are modern and new but a bit on the cheap side. Also, the room that we stayed was rather sparsely furnished.
The restaurant and meeting room facilities were excellent. The same is about food served both during the breakfast and lunch. The trash from the previous occupant was still in the waste basket. The layout of the room was not logical for me.
A very professionally-run business style hotel in a good location, close to the Schloss and its park. An interesting old building well-converted. Very expensive internet.
Business meeting the hotel
The modern design of the hotel was very good with a wonderful entrance and hotel restaurant. The Christmas decorations where wonderful. The room we where in had no window to see outside. Only two little block openings on the floor. This for a business class room I found disappointing. Bar-lady was not very friendly.
clean room away from noise
The location was very convenient. My room was comfortable, the shower wonderful, and the breakfast very good. In the mornings there was a lot of noise of banging doors which was a bit disturbing. I also think the wifi should be included in all hotels these days. But this is now my preferred hotel in Ludwigsburg.
Nice location The wakup call we have ordered never came through.Thank goodness for my innerclock!
The rooms were clean and beutifully presented , the breakfast was excellent though rather expensive. the cost of the breakfast, lack of tea/coffee facilties. I am desperate for a cup of tea when I wake!
Nice design, comfort, good position.
Ver pleasant stay
Reception staff very efficient and the room was very spacious and spotlessly clean Bearing in mind I stayed at the hotel in August on a Saturday night, I was disappointed that despite the beautiful weather, the bar was closed and it was not possible even to sit outside in the garden. When I asked to sit outside, one gentleman staff member appeared quite unfriendly. As a result we walked to a place nearby for a drink and ended up having dinner there as well.
Nothing in special Staff was kind of cold! Not real friendly. Except for one person during breakfirst all other were not really clientfriendly and customer focussed!
Good breakfast and swimming-pool
We were pleasantly surprised by the luxurious accomodations provided at this hotel. It was staffed by an attentive complement that made the experience even richer. Parking on site is availabe, but limited. Breakfast was complete and delicious. Would stay here again without any hesitation.
The staff at the hotel made you feel you were priority one. The rms where quiet, immaculate and pleasant. The town was picturesque. The pool/sauna area was great!
the fact that we come from australia it was snowing and the character of the hotel was excellent no tea or coffe facilities
Staff were friendly and helpful. Free internet is an asset. Room was too warm.
For a small town on the outskirts of Stuttgart, this hotel is a particularly good find. The rooms are well-furnished, neat and very comfortable. The facilities (such as the pool) are very good. But especially good is the food. There's a Michelin-starred restaurant at the heart of this business.
Nice decoration and very clean rooms, very quiet- no disturbances and very good sound insulation-, friendly staff, good quality breakfast. Restaurant was closed, so we missed the chance to eat in a Michelin-star restaurant
Value for money
On our Honeymoon the soundproof walls and the room service.
The long slow breakfast
You are not going to sleep in the castle!
Breakfast Not having interconnecting rooms
very friendly staff, nice swimming pool
The location near the lake and Schloss on one side and hotel and horse stables and riding area is superb. Breakfast was very good. Restaurant adjacent to hetle under same management was excellent the FIRST night. There were spider webs from floor to ceiling in corner by the bed that had obviously been there a long time. Restaurant adjacent to hotel was overly busy the second night (friday) and staff were slow and inefficient. Only received main course after reminding the staff after wait of 60 minutes. No wine offered. Had to wait 30 minutes for a second beer. Should have added staff to help clear tables and take drinks orders?
Excellent service, clean, quality, lovely setting, will come back if in the area again
Breakfast is a bit expensive burt simply great, with a large variety of food! The personell there, as every else in the Hotel, is also very willing to help, kind, welcomimg, listening to your needs and never bothering. The nearby Restaurant is also very good, tasteful and elegant
The hotel was located in beautiful parkland which would make it a lovely holiday setting
Good beds, pillows. Spacious room, very clean bathroom It really needs to have airconditioning. I don"t like to sleep with open windows in the city with street noise, just to cool the room down.
spacious room, clean, quite, enjoyed the sauna, great location many sights were within walking distance. Wonderful breakfast. I would recommend this to friends. As hotel guest I don't think we should have to pay for parking in the hotel. But all in all it was a good hotel.
good Buffet , location lack of air conditioning and non - allergenic bedding and pillows were not avavilable
The breakfast being included in the price was a definite plus. And what a good breafast it was! Also the free access to the interent.
Friendly staff and good complimentary breakfast. I wasn't told about the breakfast when I checked in. I happened to find it myself.
very good breakfast
Quiet, comfortable and straightforward, Free internet.
the staff were helpful and the breakfast was quite good. The room was very basic: no air con, no extra pillow, basic toiletries, old thin towels, no tea/coffee facilities or ironing board. Also the spa, which was the reason I chose this hotel, only opened in the evening which meant that I could not use it. These opening hours were not shown on Booking.com or the hotel website
staff friendly, kind, the place was immaculately clean The hotel was all concept and no comfort, room service was not good enough, breakfast only adequate, having to ask for daily sheet changes was odd I thought .....
nice and relax atmosphere. everything in prefect shape, no complaints. friendly staff.
The wireless internet was reasonably priced. I did not like having music pumped through the corridors.
The interior is modern and very appealing. The 1 time internet connection payment is a great idea. Good value for the money. The advertised air conditioning was only in the lobby. The room was cramped due to bed and room size. Bathroom lighting is not bright enough.
The air-conditioned room and parking We were first put in a room without air conditioning but quickly changed
good location, easy to find, clean and modern ran out of hot water on second day
Large room, nice HD TV, everything was good.
Good for the price, no problems. Nice breakfast for 10 euros, quiet room and quite large also.
Location good for seeing Bietigheim. Very comfortable for short business trip. Good restaurant. No AC but usually not needed. Good internet connection. Good 3 star hotel.
The nutricious content of the breakfasts was excellent, also we loved the central location of the hotel.
Everything! An 800 year old half-timbered building on the historic market square. It had been thoroughly modernized on the inside. Room was clean and spacious. Bath and shower was good. Great restaurant in this hotel. Really, nothing. Some may not like the church bells striking on the quarter hour (2 churches), but we didn't find that to be a problem. Adds to the charm.
