10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were cycling the Hessen Bahn-Radweg stopping for the night at the Hotel Steakhouse in Tann. For a very reasonable price we were given a large very clean room with all the facilities you could expect at this price. The evening meal was excellent value and good fare after a days cycling. We were wholly satisfied with our stay and enjoyed the town as well.
Cons: A limited breakfast but given the price for our night wholly reasonable.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: I can honestly say that Stefan and family are wonderful hosts. They are very friendly people dedicated to their guests. The evening menu may be limited but oh wow ! The quality of the food and portion size is truly amazing. I'm looking forward to returning soon when not staying on business. I enjoyed my stay very much
Cons: It would be helpful to have a kettle in the room to make traditional English tea. I'm certain that it would have been offered if i had asked but did not want to be awkward. The television channels do not offer anything but German stations and the hotel is in a very remote area. This would not have been so much of an issue had my vehicle not broken down on arrival. There are no buses on Sundays
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly owners who know a lot of things about the surroundings and can advise on any touristic matter. Good base for exploring the surroundings, for unbeatable price. Rooms clean and classy. Heating was good. Enough parking space. Breakfast was cooked on-demand, so I could really influence what I got.
Cons: The restaurant onsite is closed during the low season, and the nearest open one is 3km away, so you have to drive there (which means: no beer/wine tasting). Same applies to the shop/atms etc - be sure to get everything you need before settling in your room, so you don't have to fight your own laziness after you took a shower and sneaked in bed.
