Quiet Old. Falling apart.
Clean, comfortable hotel. Convenient location. Ok breakfast. "Fitness room" is a joke - barely a walk-in closet with a treadmill.
Comfort, peace, friendly staff, great breakfast, good location - 5 stars for the value for money N/A
Could not close bathroom door while sitting on commode. Very shoddy room. No vent fan in bathroom. Rambunctious children milling about. Very very poor for over $200.00 per night.
There was nothing to like. Kayak should apologize for sending some one to this disgusting place Fithy terrible place
The location was fabulous! For the money we spent, the room was fantastic compared to others we've been to in the same price range.
The location on Rte 19 was easy to find and a value. The staff was accommodating and the room was made up daily and refreshed without any concern. A microwave oven and refrigerator were welcome accessories. Overall, the value is apparent but our stay was confortable and met our needs. An update is long over due. Our toilet was loose at the floor and the chrome has long worn off the bath and sink fixtures. A towel rack and larger counter in the bath room would be big improvements. The complementary breakfast was standard fare but the waffle irons have issues.
Big lobby, bar, gym, laundry room, free breakfast, comfortable rooms that are very clean. What more could you want? Not a whole lot of stuff in walking distance, as far food and entertainment.
Location was right in a great area. Hotel was very clean. Staff was more than courteous. Very helpful with my questions. Breakfast was excellent. Breakfast area was clean and a attendant was very efficient.
Not great but good Neighborhood kindA scary
Our view was great, very relaxing, beautiful, rooms were cozy and the location was convenient. That we didnt stay longer :(
Market Grille food and service were excellent. Very good coffee Very disappointed with the room. No refrigerator or microwave. Royal Cup coffee was very good, but packages of powdered cream not good. Arrangement of room, lack of comfortable chairs to watch tv or read newspaper. Never could get room temperature comfortable, Seemed to be about 3 degrees difference in room temp and thermostat setting.
Relatively clean. Nice staff. Very mediocre for this much money. Smelled a bit and is close to a major highway so it was noisy.
It's an older hotel but was very clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly. I would stay there again. It's right on route 19, so there is traffic noise all night.
I like the location, it was very near my trade show. Staff were friendly, check in/out was easy. I like that it's on the canal although I didn't get to explore the property. If I stay here again I'll ask for a room near the back, away from the busy highway. My room faced hwy 19 and the traffic noise was significant. There were tiny ants in the room. The entire building looks good but gives the sense that it's past its prime.
Liked waterfront canal location with a patio overlooking the canal. Quality of bed and chairs was not very good. Breakfast staff had difficulty keeping coffee and supplies furnished in a timely manner.
Size and comfort of bed. Restaurant was closed. Room could be cleaned more (vacuumed around edge of room). There was lots of dust around there.
The view is nice. Right next to lake tarpon. Room was very clean and remodeled. It's a quiet and nice place The continental breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. Couldn't even find regular coffee there.
The rooms are spacious and clean and the beds are comfortable! The lobby is also nice and the staff were helpful. I liked having the sunrise coming trough my window in the morning and having a personal balcony. There was coffee and breakfast snacks available in the morning. The lobby also had a computer for guests to use and wifi in the rooms. The breakfast could have some more options... The hot tub wasn't really working - it got hot but no jets. The pool is not heated though the booking sites and their website said it was. It would be really great if there was a partnership with a local kayak/canoe rental company since it is on the lake - With specials or st least contact information.
The staff at the hotel were very nice and accommodating. The rooms are spacious and the exterior of the hotel has been modernized to some extent. Parking was easy. Check out was smooth. I was sort of hoping for a surprise on the continental breakfast like a waffle machine, but it was the basic cereal and yogurt offerings. The breakfast area was very clean and well presented, nothing special, nothing too disappointing. This place is a throwback to the early 70's. My first room had furniture in it that I believe had been there since 1973. The carpet was worn and the A/C was not cooling. It was a sticky night, so it was too warm to stay in that one. Had to trek back to the lobby to exchange keys for room #2. I had hoped that the clerk would give me the best available room on the second try, but that didn't happen. The second room looked much worse than the first. Worn out carpet with several holes and a smell like a broken refrigerator that had been left closed for a month greeted me as I entered the room. Again, the same Brady Bunch era furniture was found in this room too. Plastic dollar store grade chairs on the balcony were also a turn off. Since I had an early appointment, I settled for the room I had at this point. The mattress has no padding left so I spent the night sleeping on the ripples of the innerspring that was poking through the fitted sheet on the bed. If you thought all standard def tube TVs were all in the dump by now, nope, this room has some off-brand model from the early 90's with a sluggish remote control. Bottom line, there is a Hampton Inn one mile up the road -- spend the extra few bucks and get a good night's sleep there.
This is a good place for tradesmen in the area who need a place overnight if too far from home...staff was nice but boisterous...couldn't hear the TV or table conversation at breakfast for the hootin' and hollerin' (and raucous laughter) at the front desk...no consciousness or concern of the impact on the guests of such behavior...hotel maintenance men wandered in and out of the breakfast area drinking coffee, juices, etc., just as if were guests...reminded me of the casual lack of sophistication of some seedier places in Greece, Spain, etc., that I've visited...(the onsite restaurant that was advertised is closed and 'For Lease'...with no close-by alternatives) See column one....
Nothing The first room was damp and had a heavy mildew/mold smell to it, the second room was less damp and the smell wasn't as bad. It was 10:30 and I wasn't changing rooms again. The mildew/mold effected my son's asthma problems which hadn't flared in years. Neither of us could breathe well in there. Avoid this place!!!
Water view Too many noisy workman staying there
Was lead to believe no pets were allowed, but they were. Dog pooh all over the grounds.
Not much No response from management. Water pipe broke and flooded room no competition or upgrade. I was a front desk manager for 8years at a resort. Sand in sheets. Unfitted sheet. Unacceptable breakfast
Claean good location nice people Probably wouldn't hurt to let people know you changed the name of the hotel
The front desk was friendly My room had bed bugs and the carpet felt wet. Everything was so outdated and dirty. Save yourself the time & unless you can only afford $40 for a night you should go down the road a little ways to the Red Roof Inn which for $58 (3 night minimum cash only price) a night it is easily worth the money imho unless u like living with bugs. This review is real. I paid for one night at Kings Inn & I left before midnight. To go find another place for the night. I booked online thru kayak and paid $60.
