100% perfect. The owners should be so proud of what they have put together here. The staff are very friendly yet seamlessly professional. The Food was delicious, beautiful and comforting, not cranky or pompous, as I have found in most establishments of this type. My room was very clean, well presented and packed with tasty treats. I cant wait to stay again......... Thank You
A very succesful stay - All the staff were so friendly and helpfull. Just felt so relaxed and easy. Had a realy great night in the bar with the regulars. It was supposed to be a one night business trip and it turned into a great mini-break. I shall be returning with my wife for a long weekend before christmas. I certainly wish I worked in Telford more often
Excellent hotel. Very friendly helpful staff, great service, lovely food and an extremly clean hotel. An all round great experience. Would recommend and will definately stay again. Plus lots of nice touches which make this hotel stand out from the crowd.
We had an exceptionally warm welcome. The hotel was furnished to a very high standard; there were many personal touches that meant one felt less like you were staying in a hotel and more like staying with a very chic and sophisticated friend. The bar was comfortable and contempory. Despite being a little late for dinner we were given ample time to choose our food and then only when the first course was ready were we shown to our seat in the restaurant allowing time for a relaxed drink before dinner. The food was delightful; fresh simple and beautifully presented. The cooked breakfast was to die for! I haven't enjoyed a night away from the children so much in years!
Warm friendly welcome, and attention to detail. Fantastic meal and accomodation.
Service was outstanding. The decor was very classy rather than the run of the mill standard decor.
The whole ambience
The decor throughout the hotel was outstanding. The breakfast was beautiful and I wish I could have had an opportunity to have dinner as the menu look wonderful n/a
The food was excellent at the hotel. The hotel was lovely, however the walls are very thin but I would defnitely stay again.
Service and food excellant
Staff was really nice and kind, food was fantastic, room maybe small but clean and pretty with very soft blankets. The hotel is easy to reach very close to the centre of Wellinghton and its train station. A very quiet place where I will surely return! Small park car
Nice, family run hotel, not new but spotless, super friendly and helpful. Convenient to rail to anywhere, local Shropshire attractions like Shrewsbury, the Wrekin, Buildwas Abbey, my long ago home village, Eyton-Upon-the-Weald-Moors. Great breakfast. Could not have been a more perfect hotel for us as we prefer local fare over chains anytime, and this was really nice local. Can't think of anything. Oh - room needed instructions for the instant hot water heater shower (Switch was outside the bathroom).
Problems with room sorted out quickly. Friendly staff. Close to town. Had to decide what to eat for dinner during the morning, so the chef could get it ready. We like to be spontaneous and choose from a menu when we are dining out on holiday.
Staff very friendly. Breakfast good but limited choice. Very difficult to find without sat nav. Address in Park Street but entrance in small alley round the corner with no instructions at front of building. Had to ask a local how to get in. Room at very top of building, lots of stairs. Room adequate but very tired looking and dirty torn net curtains. No hairdryer or toiletries provided.
Very friendly and helpful staff, nothing too much trouble. Box of complimentary choclotaes in the room when we arrived which I thought was very thoughtful and added that extra little touch. Breakfast, which was a full english very good value No
The breakfast was excellent and there was pleasant company in the bar.
The down stairs decoration in the lounge/bar and dining room was good. The landlord was very cheerful and helpfull The room decore was looking tired and the en-suite was in need of updating,There was no underlay under any of the carpets in the room or on the staircases which made walking around quite noisey.
The Staff Were very Pleasant! The only criticism was the Hotel wasn't open at 4PM and I had travelled from Liverpool on my bike and was freezing and required immediate access. Apart fron that everything else was fine. The Full English Breakfast for an additional £5 was worth the money! Overall I would stay there again.
owners very friendly service execellentbreafast very good, owner even carried luggage to room couldn,t be better.hope infuture they will do evening meals.
Cooked breakfast was very good On arrival, couldn't get in although booking said after 11.ooam. We arrived at 3.30. Looked dirty and dingy, although better once inside. Facilities were not as stated, when I queried it said they were on request.Toilet and shower were separate, but only soap in toilet and nothing at all in shower room.
Wonderfully unique - loved the atmosphere Very lumpy pillows - not comfortable
Outstanding food .the duck was perfectly cooked Cheap contract mattress on bed .....my wife and I were awake most of the night because of the discomfort caused by the bad mattress.the whole idea of booking into a hotel is for a good rest......so for heavens sake invest in some decent mattresses as tired and crotchety guests are highly unlikely to recommend the hotel
The size of the room the decore what is there to not like. Nothing
The hotel incl bar has a number of unusual and quirkey objects that made for an endless conversation. Won't say what we saw as it would spoil it for others. Superb food, enjoyed the first night so ate again on the second. Well decorated and maintained throughout. Did not find anything to dislike
My taxi to Telford failed to arrive am for an important meeting & the chef offered to take me - outstanding personal service! All the staff were very friendly.
Good hotel, very welcoming The hotel had not received the booking confirmation from bOOKING.cOM. bY chance they had 1 empty room
The stafff were really friendly and provided an excellent service
Food in the bar / restaurant was very good. Make sure that you visit the garden and herb garden at the rear of the hotel.
Freindly staff, beautiful building, beautiful beds. Standard of food available was very good A little chintzy, bathroom products (hand soap etc.) fixed to the wall - felt like we were expected to want to steal them. Traffic noise was persistent as it is diectly on a main a road. Poor vegetarian selection
The accomodation was ok but the rooms were a bit twee. In general, friendly staff.
Close to local places of interest and friendliness of owners
Very handy for all of the attractions in the area. Very relaxed atmosphere of place, owners always on hand if you needed anything. Full cooked breakfast excellent, and properly cooked, recommended.
Nice place, nice people, location for Ironbridge - great! None really
Excellent and friendly hosts. Good food. Clean and nicely appointed room. None
The meals were excellent and the hotel was in a really convenient and quiet location for exploring Coalbrookdale. The bedroom was on the small side because there had been an en-suite bathroom installed. However for a short stay it was perfectly adequate.
Good welcome. Very friendly people. Excellent food both breakfast and dinner at night.
Very comfortable small hotel with a very obliging Host and Hostess. Well appointed rooms and lots of little 'added extras' that are not always available these days. Can recomend this Hotel to any Coeliac people who may be concerned about the food provided.Ask and it shall be provided...although I had said I always take my own Bread wherever I go.Lots to see and do in the area and if we are able to travel to the area again,we would want to stay at the Foundry Masters House. No bad points found.
The proximity of the hotel to the iron gorge attractions was ideal. The owners were very friendly, the room was spacious and clean and the food was very good.
We were welcomed warmly by Daniel the owner, who helped bring in our bags and gave us a wealth of useful local information. The rooms are excellently fitted out with very high quality reproduction furniture. No expense spared. Great breakfast and conversation.
I chose this hotel for the proximity to the museums and bridge. The premises were exactly as advertised and I would not hesitate to go there again. There was nothing I would complain about.
