Convenience, quality of service Smoking in main bar area.
Excellent central location.Spacious and well furnished room. Unable to sleep due to traffic noise.
room was clean and bathroom large. there was a cost of 4pounds per 20 minutes for the internet. should be complimentary. as well, they charged me for newspaper - 1pound, to use my visa to pay bill 2.50pounds and a "carer distribution fee of 1pound. this was unacceptable!
Staff were friendly and efficient but very busy and difficult to get hold of. Hotel was desperately in need of some updating and maintenance. One of two lifts was out of order and the plumbing in our bathroom made an aweful noise.
Location, 'character', most staff (but not all) Very high parking fee, long walk to room, noise of large fan/generator, modest bedroom and facilities, unpleasant view, bizarre naked footprints on flat roof outside window, smell of sewage ('exceptional' problem), credit card surcharge (incredible!). Very poor value. Also adding 'MacDonald' to the name rather detracts from the image, I'm afraid. Next time: The Old Bank
The friendliness & helpfulness of the staff. The excellent breakfast. The well-equipped bathroom. The proximity to the Ashmolean I should have preferred a duvet rather than blankets on my bed. I found the blankets too hot and constricting
Good enjoyable stay
Lovely hotel and rooms. Particularly impressed by the turn down service. No
The location of the Hotel in the centre of Oxford We stayed in the Hotel before and liked it very much. On this occasion we found it somewhat disappointing. Many small things caused us some frustration.
Friendliness. Convenience to City Centre. Quiet. Long circuit up hill and down dale to executive room on first floor - miles from lift and still requiring negotiating stairs. Brilliant black-out curtains spoiled by light streaming under the door from the corridor.
It is in an excellent location for visiting my daughter who is studying at Worcestor college. We were in a room with heavy scaffolding blocking the entire two windows. Men were talking, yelling & working/pounding in front of the two windows every morning. They totally ignored us who needed sleeping in the room. There were no privacy nor courtesy. We were not informed or asked if it's Ok for the reception to assign such a downgraded room (the windows were blocked by scaffolding entirely)to us at check in either. The service and facilities were at most a one star hotel this time. I stayed in this hotel for about 5 times in the last two years because we were visiting our daughter who was studying at Worcestor college(one block away). They've been always about a three stars hotel standard. But this time was the worst. We will not use this hotel any more. It's totally not worth the price & the poor facility.
Well situated.Intriguing building with a good ambiance.Has the potential to be excellent. Seemed under staffed at reception and so no warm feeling of care ,especially noticeable as this was the only customer engagement point.
Excellent location, great design hotel There was an issue with my bill at checkout. Reception quite rude
Responsive staff- about the best I have encountered. Taxi booked by hotel was 25 minutes late despite several calls by staff to chase
Central location, unique design, extremely handy for the Oxford Colleges which was why we booked it. Particularly liked the fact that you are immediately into the centre of the city as you leave the hotel Finding the hotel is difficult - the SatNav takes you to the back of the hotel( which is hopeless) and Oxford is very difficult for car drivers. Either do park and ride or leave yourself plenty of time and print a map.
The hotel is very stylish and has a unique atmosphere. It's very close to the city center and the train station which is very convenient. The restaurant has superb food and is reasonably priced. The shower was quite challenging. No matter how hard I tried, the water I got was lukewarm at best.
Very comfortable and friendly staff. Would definitely stay again.
Nice hotel, interesting features and full of character. Unfriendly staff. Shower broken, both of us had to have cold shower in the morning, not so nice! Duvet cover ripped all across. When this was pointed out to the male receptionist on check out we were told that this is not generally the case in the c block!! No mention of sorry!! Made to feel like a liar!
the hotel building is beautifully restored and kept, the room and service were of high standard the hotel is dark everything is painted black there are very few lights and most places such as the brasserie and the main lobby are dim , everybody dresses in black at the reception desk and at the restaurant, black bed cover and black bed cushions black desk closet night tables, grey bathroom, black wall to wall carpet with tiny strips of red that reminded me of blood
Althiugh it was a busy weekend, the staff, were pateient courteoud and helpful.
Location Uncomfortable beds, hairdryers not working and extremely limited sundry items, tea bags etc..
The quirky nature of the former prison - cleverly converted The lighting in the rooms was too dim to read
Very attentive, efficient and helpful service. The location is excellent and it is comfortable and quiet. Breakfast had a wide variety of options. The choice on the dinner menu was rather restricted for a 4-star hotel, although service was excellent. Also, would expect better pillows than lumpy synthetic ones!
Convenient location with the huge advantage of car parking. The hotel was clean and comfortable.
easy reach of city centre, hotel layout very good, friendly staff, food very good.
Sports Club facilities were excellent, and the staff were helpful and friendly. Restaurant was very busy as there was a coach party also staying
Very friendly and attentive staff. Excellent food in restaurant. Excellent facilities. Good location
It was my 2nd stay in Oxford Spires Four Pillars Hotel through Booking.com and it was very pleasant and the staff are very professional
We ate in the dining room each evening as the town was a 25 minute walk away. The service was very good and choice of menu reasonable. The hotel was a warren of rooms and clinical in design lacking in any character. Our allocated room was very small with only a double bed and as one set of towels was delivered each day ,we wondered if we had been allocated a single room as it was a busy weekend. We received a refund of one night after complaining.
very comfortable, easy reach of oxford, lovely views and surroundings. little vague if we had breakfast included in price
I liked the fact that the staff was friendly especially in Deacons Bar. The front desk staff were also helpful with transportation and a room change. I appreciated that they were willing to make the change so easily. Although it was a lovely hotel with beautiful grounds, I feel their housekeeping proceedures really brought them down. The room I stayed in had brown grime on the shower walls and had obvioulsy not been cleaned in a while. Also, the pillows were extremely flat and made for an uncomfortable night sleep. The sheets were also not changed in the 4 nights we stayed there. We knew this because they were put on without care so everytime you pulled back the covers your sheets came undone especially on my husbands side of the bed where there was not enough material to tuck them back under the mattress. More attention to this would have helped the stay!
An all round excellent hotel. We particularly liked the rural location, which was only a few minutes walk from the city centre.
Room was clean, warm and quiet. Parts of the room were tired, paint chipped etc
breakfast, nothing special but both cooked and continental meals Internet was supposed to work and free of charge in the public area of the hotel, whilst it was a pay per hour in the room. Internet in the public area didn't work. We had to repeat a wait-and-trial for over half an hour in the lobby area. Others had the same problem. The front desk staff would not give half an hour free access to internet in the room in lieu of the inconvenience caused, whilst we were in urgency in sending messages to overseas counterparts who were waiting to hear from us at their end. Bathtub drains didn't function properly. TV reception was poor.
I liked that the size of the room was good and that we had a good dinner for a gour star hotel The staff seemed a little overwhelmed at breakfast
Leaving the hotel during the day Poor service, poor food and sub standard room
It takes 15 min. from city centre to the hotel. But it's clean, confortable and good sevice
The choice in the restaurant was very poor.
Even though we had asked for a twin room on booking and had called before checking we were told there no twins available, but the reception staff offered us two rooms for the same rate as a double which was extremly generous!
It's location to the NEC is perfect My late request but unable to book an extra night
Staff were good and the hotel facilities were aslo good
The food was generally very good - the service was quick - we liked the call bells on the outside tables The premium room was disappointing .. very small. We've stayed in many better quality bigger rooms in othe hotel chains for the same or less price. Also the views from the hotel when in the restaurant were very poor - roofs / aerials / ventilation ducts etc.could be improved with plants etc.
Great Staff! Great workout room and Sauna!
The room was very comforta The resturant in the hotel was a little to official and we were also told that we couldnt have wine by the glass (only a bottle) only to see people coming in with glasses from the bar. I think we should of been better informed of this.
This hotel is really a oase where relax and golf is taking the lead. My wife didn't wanted to leave the welllness center (clean yacussi, fitness, sauna, hammam and swimming pool), while I enjoyed golf courses. The hotel is situated at 8€ taxi fee from a nice quite city with nice bars/food. Really something to advice for young people; just perfect !!! .. at 15km from oxford and 15€ public transport to London. sorry but I can't imagine anything negative !!
Excellent size room, with good clean gym and pool facilities. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast service Room rate a little expensive
Accessibility, bedrooms nicely appointed, friendly reception staff Service for breakfast was terrible in all aspects on first day improved significantly beyond belief the second day when the rest manager was on duty
Luxurious room - very modern & comfortable, spa area is lovely and treatments good value for money (I had 40 min back/neck/shoulder exfoliation for £42), food available in the restaurant, though I ate in the bar, which has tasty, reasonably-priced pub grub. Hard to find anything to criticise, the only thing I would mention is the full English breakfast. It's very tasty, but a bit more choice would have helped (eg, beans, hash browns, etc).
Beautiful Hotel. Great facilities and Fantastic Breakfast!!! Being woken up by Housekeeping knocking on the room door at 9am
We were very pleased with the sevice given to us throughout our stay at the Oxford Holiday Inn. The staff were fantastic! We have suffered quite badly in the past staying at hotels due to being a same sex couple and it was lovely to not experience that this weekend. We would definatley book with you again in the future without any reservations - thank you!!!
Location The bedroom was very cold and there appeared to be no heating. When we asked they sent up an oil filled radiator.
Hotel was very nice, staff very helpful and friendly. We used the dining room for Dinner and the quality of the food was not good at all. Three of us had different meals and none of us liked them, especially in view of the high cost. We also had breakfast which was very good, all food warm and tasty.
breakfast was excellent, good selection and plenty of it bar prices are high, both for snacks and drinks
Service was excellent, as was the food, which is always a big bonus, particularly the breakfast. Bar prices were expensive
Quick service.easy access from motorway
Friendly staff, close to Oxford city centre
Having stayed in a great number of hotels this year, the Holiday inn at Oxford was by far the noisiest. We could hear every word the guests next door were saying, as well as toilets flushing etc.
Bar food was poor
I enjoyed the comfortable room, though rather small for a double. The location is very good, just 10 mins into town on foot and several restaurants/pubs within 100 yards. The staff were friendly and reasonably helpful. The breakfast buffet was not too extensive. The cooked "full English" was unimaginative, the service slow, and unattentive, the food sometimes warm rather than hot...
Breakfast too expensive
very convenient location, pleasant surroundings, good breakfast no
the car park and the fact that the room was fairly quiet. the bathroom was very small and the extractor fan was extremely noisy.
good atmosphere, helpful staff, good situation, quiet rooms, convenient parking andd straightforward billing arrangements. dim economy bulbs and cheap plastic glasses in the bathroom.
Very comfortable room with good facilities
Location and nearness to labs and centre Room 64 washbasin waste lever needs attention
All things are very good. There is very quiet the bar is very nice to take a rest. When you feel tiere, the location of this hotel is a little bit far from the city center. But there is a very good transport of buses. It would be nice, if the staff tell custumers which numbers of buses you can take.
Quiet room on the top floor of the hotel. Lovely comfortable bed. Nice bathroom. Friendly helpful staff. There was nothing we were unhappy with.
Its closeness to the centre of the city, its old world charm, and particularly the reception staff who were extremely helpful
A very attractive modernisation of a series of old buildings at the core extending to modern wings containing bedrooms with the expected amenities. A rural, riverside setting within 3 miles of the city centre
Staff excellent, interior reception and lounge area very inviting.Grounds very well kept. Disappointed with bedroom, connoisseur ,for the price, also breakfast rather greasy.
The location, with the Thames at the bottom of the garden, is tranquil. The room was spacious and comfortable. The entrance hall/lobby was welcoming with an open fireplace. The breakfast was good and there was plenty of variety, although the juices were not fresh. The pool was small but nice. The bathroom was small. The food at the restaurant was bland (seafood linguine, mashed potato, salmon fishcakes were all tasteless). With many conferences taking place the hotel is noisy in the morning with doors banging. The staff on reception and in the restaurant were not particulary welcoming, nor helpful. The same annoying music was played on loop for the duration of our visit. For £150 per night we would expect much more and were very disappointed overall. There was no personal touch that you would expect in a hotel of this class. Needless to say we will to stay there again.
our room,was excellant,and what a stunning view.
The pool, the grounds, the size of the room We had to complain about the bins in the room being full of rubbish and four dirty towels left in the room.
Friendly helpful staff at reception, good leisure facilites, great location
The hotel was very impressive and in a lovely location by the river. The staff were friendly and the room was nice and clean. The service for food at the bar was very slow and we had to chase them after half an hour. Not very good considering the price.
nice staff good meals
Beautiful location and surroundings. Lovely room. Short staffed and poor service in restaurant/bar, especially for breakfast, whcih was not great quality.
courteous attentive staff good food lovely setting comfortable rooms.
The staff are very helpful and pleasant and the hotel is on the main Banbury Road near a bus stop so is only about 10-15 minutes from the city centre. We were unlucky enough to have three very noisy guests staying in the hotel on the same night as we were. They "partyed" from 1am till 5am, obviously very drunk and out of control. Despite the hotel saying it had someone on duty 24 hours a day, when I rang reception there was no reply and the noise carried on unabatted. It was very difficult to work out quite where it was coming from as it's an old complicated building. The manager was very apologetic in the morning but I wonder if the "guests" were ever nobbled!
Vast selection of choices for breakfast. Didn't like the burnt logs & ashes etc in the grate in the bedroom.
The staff were really welcoming and friendly - I couldn't have hoped for a better welcome. The breakfast area is lovely and the breakfast buffet offers good choice with really friendly staff. nothing, that I didn't like about this hotel.
Small room - great for single person but bit squashed if for 2. Well equipped, well decorated. Lovely bathroom. Free parking. Delicious croissants from local patisserie. Orange juice at breakfast was very watery and didn't taste of orange. Would like a larger bath towel.
Nice room and staff. Breakfast cut off time was too early on Saturday morning as was check out time. After a Friday night out would be nicer to end breakfast at 10 We missed it unfortunately. Room was very hot all night had to open window
The decor was contemporary and of a very good standard. My room was very large, with a large bathroom as well. Very comfortable. Did not have an iron and ironing board in the room. I had to iron shirts in a reception room!
The breakfast was a good standard. The room was extremely cramped.
Staff were ecxellent and because of that the ambience was very good. Too often bad management sets up a caustic atmosphere, the ticking of boxes. A bit like your website, so how happy are your staff.
Very good cleaning staff, reception staff and service in the bar; rooms were very comfortable and quiet The location - some way out of Marlow centre & not a pleasant walk. The restaurant was closed on the second night of our stay as there were not enough guests in the hotel. The breakfast is poor value at £16.95 - also extortionate to charge extra for espresso etc.
Staff were really accomodating and helpful distance to walk into town or to train station, but taxis were easy enough to book and quick
Nice and modern hotel, very friendly staff, breakfast buffet
Comfortable large room with good facilities. Could have done with more milk & tea bags, had to ask at reception for more.
great atmosphere and fantastic service, the staff seemed like genuinely good people. The food was absolutely delicious.
the rooms were very clean and comfortable.we only stayed for one night so didnt see much of the hotel, would stay there again.
Good facilities and very welcoming.
The last minute rate - would not have been able to afford it otherwise No
Facilities, choice and long breakfast period.
all of it apart from waiting 25 minutes for bar waiter to serve us after telling us to sit on lounges went to our room as above
Quiet yet easy access to Oxford city centre Dinner in restuarant for dinner was poor value
good value for money, clean, easy for park & ride ( into Oxford). our room 228 was just above function room so rather noisy - but at least it wasn't very late! Service in the restaurant was rather slow.
The food and good service in the restaurant. The room in Elm House, up a hill, behind the Hawkewell House.
The cleanliness of the hoel Lack of heating to the hotel, it was very cold
A quiet night sleep Too warm/hot, heating on constantly. TV not working corectly.
Very quiet hotel; very nice personnel. There is a very large breakfast, with many choices and an a good quality. Wi-fi is free in the rooms.
very comfortable surroundings. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Came to do Xmas shopping. Hotel has parking facilities & is within easy reach of Oxford town centre by bus. Bus stop near Hotel.
The staff were very helpful. The room was nice and i loved the bed. The signs for the toilets need to be changed, they are confusing. Guests need to be informed that if they want eggs for breakfast they need to order them, i didn't know untill it was to late.
The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly and did whatever they could to make our stay incredible. The location was perfectly convenient located just outside of downtown Oxford. The facilities were newly renovated and very comfortable. Nothing that comes to mind.
Seems a bit sad,but we really liked the bathroom! It was a proper room, not just a partitioned off corner of the bedroom.Nice floor as well! Breakfast was rather chaotic.
The reception staff were excellent-very friendly and helpful-and it was good to have parking in the City. There was quite a lot of noise at night-from disco music + ?generator or other appliance.
convenient location the bed was too soft
The breakfast and service.
The location of the hotel was ideal for getting to the office and shopping. Which was the purpose of the trip/stay No hairdryers in the room
Excellent kitchen for all meals. Wonderful included breakfast Room quite cozy. Lighting very poor for reading. No wash cloths, few towels. Hair blower attached behind desk. Temperature very difficult to adjust.
Central location Heating in room 201 was poor we did not have any on the Sunday morning and no hot water. This was the coldest night of the year so far 27/28th November 2010. I did mention. Rather off putting!
Room was very nice
central location and car park facility
We particularly liked the room (105) - spacious and comfortable. The view is wonderful and the location very convenient.
The location was great, the staff were excellent, and the hotel itself: clean, stylish and cosy Navigating the High Street was a little complicated by car due to complex one way system
The room (32) was better than others we had been in before. The lady at breakfast was very helpful as I was dashing to London on an early train & my husband dropped me at the station & came back for a full breakfast. Despite above, I thought breakfast could have started at 7am & then my husband and I woud have eaten together.
lovely welcome from staff. Clean room though decor rather dated and grubby. Breakfast pleasant with helpful staff. Dated decor and grubby in need of redecoration (though was clean). Curtains off a few hooks so wouldn't shut properly. tiny supplies of shampoo etc - not what I'd expect from a 4 star establishment. bed so uncomfortable neither of us slept either night.
Very clean Very small double bed, so uncomfortable to sleep in - and the whole point was to sleep!
We had a lovely stay here over the Easter weekend. The room was clean, spacious and homely. The staff were very friendly and professional. It is not far from Oxford City Centre, literally a 5-10 bus ride. Good parking facilities and we enjoyed a good old fry up for breakfast which was included in the booking. We will definitely stay there again and highly recommend. :)
The day manager was friendly and helpful, and allowed me to leave the car in the carpark whilst I went into the centre - an essential amenity in Oxford. The breakfast was hot and freshly prepared, and served just before closing time of 9 am without any fuss. The level of cleanliness is very good, and the lounge space pleasant. The room was a bit poky, with a small shower cubicle only in the bathroom. There was some intrusion of road noise.
Wireless environment, cleanness. I stayed in 2nd floor and it is a bit hard to bring up my luggage.
The location meant you were able to walk into central Oxford (15-20 mins) and leave the car in the hotel car park meaning you didn't have to worry about transport or parking fees. Not major faults whatsoever. Poor Wi Fi reception in some hotel areas. Becomes annoying when access is intermittent.
After reading other reviews I was expecting just a B&B but was pleasantly surprised when I could at least order a night-cap and one that was very reasonably priced! Thank you.
A really lovely hotel and good value for money. Clean and comfortable and wonderful breakfast - I was very impressed with the vegetarian option (we are often forgotten...) Plenty of parking space and handy for getting into Central Oxford. I can't think of any bad points.
Nice room, quiet, very comfortable
Professional Calm Friendly Relaxed Attentive Uncomfortable Double Bed
well appointed room drinks very expensive
breakfast was very good staff friendly
staff gave excellent service throughout enjoyed it all
Like using the pool and they had a good selection of food in the bar in addition to the more complicated fare in the restaurant. Very good buffet breakfast
The room was lovely. We attended an event held at the hotel where the food and room were excellent.
Very good breakfast friendly staff Our room missed being refreshed so there was no tea coffee milk. I had to ask for tea and milk when we arrived. I did fill in a form to let them know, I also went to reception on return that day, there was not much of an appology. I was meeting our daughter there and while we both booked online at the same price, the rooms were completely different. We had paint flaking off the bathroom ceiling and cob webs and the bath mat was brown with age, tiles above the mirror were bulging off the wall, the grout around the bath taps was black. I wrote all this on one of their forms, I have not heard a word from them. I do think we were unfortunate with our room, everything else was ok.
Good rooms and good facilties The room was like at the far end of the hotel
The full size bath and seperate shower The bed was too small and with my husband being 6ft 4inch too short. Not your fault on the shortness but the bed was hard and did not support me, being the lighter person in it. We probably should have gone for seperates but as we normally don't we did not see the need to change our sleeping arrangements.
The bed was comfortable although I felt there should be 4 pillows for a superking .. the cooked breakfast was very tasty.. going outside between the hotel facilities and the bedroom .. not convenient and cold and damp as it was raining .. it was very inconvenient to have no mobile phone connection (Orange) unless I went out into the carpark and stood in the rain.
The hotel is set in fantastic grounds, the rooms are claen and very well presented and staff are really help full.the best hotel we have ever stayed in.
Room and facilities excellent massage wonderful pool and jacuzzi wonderful Reception staff very helpful Restaurant staff need to clear tables of dirty plates to allow guests to continue their meal
The room and bed, in particular, was very comfortable and the breakfast was also very good. The cost was high and not enough clothes hangers and only 3 pillows when 4 was needed.
Staff were very pleasant and helpful Room had ample space and the bed was really comfortable. The Health Spa facilities were great. Arrived around 3pm, feeling rather hungry. We were told that we could get baguettes, paninis or a sandwich in the Sports Bar but all that was left was a couple of sandwiches. Unusually long wait for Breakfast but worth it when it arrived.
The size of the room The bed in the luxury room was dirty and put a bad start to what was our anniversay! Coiuld not believe how expensice the G&Ts were!!!!
Spa facilities were excellent. Location was great for shopping at Bicester Village and visiting Blenheim Palace. Sports bar was dirty. Kept awake on first night due to a loud function which went into the small hours of the morning. Breakfast was disappointing. More like a travel inn than a 4 star hotel but at a vastly inflated price!
Wonderful facilities, great room, fantastic breakfast.
Stayed with girlfriends for a shopping weekend, really nice hotel, very comfortable, good food and courteous, helpful staff. Would definitely stay again
Nice comfortable room. Not particularly well sign posted and postcode in satnav took to a random farm nearby; we ordered a taxi to take uus to a friend's wedding, when we arrived at reception a few minutes before it was due we asked whether it had arrived, we were told that it hadn't, 10+ minnutes later someone told us that our taxi had been waiting outside for a while. We were almost late for the wedding. Not knowing the hotel it would have been really helpful if someone could have told us where to wait.
Clean, functional. Proximity for business visit Lack of light in bedroom and poor quality breakfast. Not good value for money given quite high budget hotel cost.
It was very comfortable and relaxing, and its easy access to entertainment.
ease of everything, uncomplicated. not the hotel, but the 4 question survey is actually, 11!
Bar open till late. Useful as we did not arrive till 11pm First time I have used an Express and didn't realise that there were no cooked meals available
Freindly and helpful staff, comfortable bed A couple of noisy rooms above our room
Straight forward. Better than a Travelodge but not as 'posh' as a full blown hotel. Good breakfast and very pleasant staff.
Comfort, cleanliness, generous size of the room.It was a good choice this hotel, not only because of the prices.
Good hotel, with breakfast included with room. Friendly and helpful staff. Parking available. Can get a bus from the Kassam stadium to go to Oxford city, the hotel is adjacent to the stadium [make sure you get the right bus or expect 20 min walk back to the hotel on return journey]. Room's led lights not really strong enough to read by, though ok for relaxing. Wake-up service/clock, local radio/TV services available in tv unit, very clever. I found it a problem to operate [handheld controller difficulties] and no infomation card available to understand service. No evening meals facility only bar, though takeaway can be ordered [pizza, indian or chinese]. I query the honesty of the booking.com website as I noticed there was loads of rooms available, the hotel has 3 floors, and not many people about during my stay and wondered why I only got my room via a cancellation? I recommend customers to contact the hotel directly for prices and available dates; its a big modern hotel.
Easy check in; helpful staff;clean & comfotrtable reasonable access to eating places and leisure facilities I thoughtr it would be easy to find following the football signs, but they were not as clear as they could have been in busy night tme traffic
Excellant breakfast. Preferred the shower cubicle to the usual shower over bath. It would have been nice to have been able to have an evening meal at hotel.
good room with walled garden; fair dinner and very good breakfast
the upgraded room I was late for breakfast, which i understand. As you were doing meals in the lounge, I would happily have taken it there rather than just tea and toast, although it was our fault
Centrally located with easy access to my place of work and plenty of choice for eating in or out of the hotel.
Good size room, Clean, Good breakfast, ample parking & friendly staff Bed was a bit soft, would prefer queen size bed
Front bedrooms are noisy at night from pub opposite playing loud music
Room was very comfortable, though bathroom shower was a little short of power. Room was very hot on arrival, but heating was self adjustable Hotel has recently been redecorated and seems to a little unsure what category its now fitting into. A chic boutique, or a comfortable country town hotel
Quaint, homely, impesonal. Mattress a bit wobberly perhaps put overal good accomodation Noththing realy .
Ease of access to work
Location and breakfast was second to none Dated look, mould on ceiling in bathroom, bed too soft
The location is excellent for exploring the cotswolds. Thame is a beautiful town. The breakfasts were excellent. The walk from the bedroom complex to the main building for meals was not very well lit. The bathroom needed updating-not very inviting for a laze in the bath!
