Pros: The host was wonderful! Seriously! She really took care of us and went out of her way to make sure we found our way around. She gave us directions to a restaurant and even went searching for us on a bike to make sure we found somewhere. Her husband drove us to the bus station and waited to make sure we got on the right one. Just amazing. They absolutely went above and beyond.

Cons: The breakfast was fresh cooked but a bit limited for our western taste.

Pros: Incredible owner, does everything for you, she helps you plan the trip gives you great advice what you can do in the city and countryside and even helped me to get my next buses to the next stop of my trip. Definetly recommended!!! P.s. I checked km at 5am in the morning and is was no problem at all, they were already waiting for me outside.

Pros: My sister and I loved staying here! Cao Bang is a great base for exploring the beautiful province and countryside. We were able to easily rent a scooter from Anh, and she was so lovely. She helped us plan all three days of our stay here and gave us excellent recommendations and even directions. She was an incredible hostess. We would recommend anyone to stay here if you're traveling Cao Bang.

Pros: Everything! Mrs. Anh is an absolute angel. This is by far the best and most homey homestay I have stayed in Vietnam. She took me to view the Moon Festival as an added plus which was super fun and all of her directions to how to see the main sites of Ban Gioc were spot on. Stay at Primrose if you visit Cao Bang. You won't regret it!

Cons: I wouldn't change a thing!

Pros: I liked everything! Firstly, Anh, the host is so polite, respectful and hospitable. She told me all about the restaurants nearby and how to get to Ban Gioc Waterfall by bike and what are things to see on the way! For breakfast she tried to accommodate my taste by offering veggies and fruit to go with my eggs. All the rooms are unique and beautiful, especially the double rooms! Dorms rooms are also so cozy! It is one of the best guesthouses I stayed in Vietnam!

Cons: it does not concern the property itself. There aren't many good restaurants in town. Google search is not accurate, most popular places found in google maps are closed and not working. So you would be better off just walking. They have a lot of coffee places though! I bought instant noodles and fruit and ate in the guesthouse.

Pros: Such a friendly family who can’t do enough for you (the lady even carried my friends 20kg suitcase up 4 flights of stairs!!). There’s a information guide in the rooms with recommended restaurants, mechanics, fuel stations, etc etc which was very helpful. Rooms cleaned everyday. Hot water. Yummy cheap breakfast. Fab hosts :)

Pros: An was extremely hospitable, helpful and friendly!! She made excellent recommendations on where to eat and what to see. Even had everything about further travel organized in great detail in a notebook. Went way out of her to make be comfortable. Felt like home to me! I loved the town and because I loved the hostel I extended my stay to 4 nights. Extremely clean, thick comfortable mattresses and excellent air conditioning! Cheap breakfast. Free filtered water so no plastic waste. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Cons: Absolutely everything was perfect! One of very best hostels I have stayed in while in Vietnam 2.5 months!!

Pros: POSITIVES + Small hotel (only 2 rooms per floor) with elevator + Centrally located - only 7 mins walk to Pedro's Pizza + Clean and modern + Comfortable bed in compact room + Air con worked well + Clean shower - with half a shower screen (most have none in Vietnam) + Tea and coffee making NEGATIVE - Breakfast not available and no western food nearby (good European coffee across street though)

Pros: The room was clean and comfortable and well equipped with fridge, kettle and toiletries supplied. The hotel was well located and the staff really friendly and helpful.

Cons: Nothing..it was all good.

Pros: The location was great, just a 5-10 min walk to some of the popular restaurants and a huge market and maybe a 5 min drive to some other food spots. The room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels, sheets and soaps and everything. The staff was very helpful with recommendations on where to get bikes, things to do in the area and booking a bus to Hanoi. Great experience here!

Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was nice and big, and it was in a great location. I loved the decor and the style and the hotel.

Cons: The WiFi was weak in the room, but this was not a huge problem as the connection was much stronger in the common areas.

Pros: Perfect location for then going to visit the main attractions of the area. The owner was really helpfull with the information given. He also gave us a lift to the bus station for going to the waterfalls.

Cons: It would be great if he could include the breakfast. However, it is a great place to stay.

Cons: bed is super hard and uncomfortable. Place needed cleaning, the floor was dirty, and place dusty, there were old dirty food in our refrigerator.

Pros: Hotel newly refurbished. A SPA will open in two weeks time.

Pros: They upgraded us to a family room because he accidentally rented out one of our rooms and it was very roomy. Perfect for our group get together before we head to bed.

Cons: It was dirty, bad was hard as rock (my back hurted the next morning).

Pros: One of the daughters speaks English pretty well. Very nice details as bottles of water in the room and that we stayed one more night and they changed our towels.

Pros: The famous pizza shop nearby the hostel. Have breakfast next to hostel. Room clean and comfortable, Host can speak english little bit.

Pros: 1. I love the fact that Anh, the daughter of the owner speaks good English to ease the communication! Surely very helpful in so many ways even before upon arrival/departure. 2. The owner as couples & the neighbourhood peoples are super friendly & smiley compare to Hanoi. 3. Although the property is under renovations, it didn’t affect us at all. 4. Cuong, the receptionist who is also our chartered driver for 4 destinations was incredible & careful. He charges 1,500,000 VND. Must look for him in the future. I will surely recommend to others!

Cons: 1. I could’ve asked earlier what level is the room. 4 levels stairs may not easy for elderly but there’ll be elevator in the future. 2. Before our checkout, electricity for air conditioner & water shower heater were off. I assumed they were trying to avoid guests on the air con. Turned out, I have to went down to ask to turn it on. 3. Communicating with Cuong was difficult. We made a deal 1 day earlier where he couldn’t make it for the 4 destinations, where we have to re-negotiate to come to a win-win situation. I assumed he was too nice to say everything yes instead of no. I’m in hope that the above aren’t a complaint but areas of improvement.
