Pros: The entire experience at Tigh Ur was enjoyable, comfortable and easy. A quiet location, the hosts are splendid, the breakfast was delicious. The house is next to gorgeous Dollar glen and Castle Campbell. Five stars to Pete and Rosie.
Pros: A very warm welcome on arrival. Premises were clean and tidy. Not only did we have a room, but also a small, comfortable sitting room with a great selection of teas, coffees, biscuits etc. The breakfast was fantastic. The best thing about this place were the hosts. This genuinely felt like we stayed at a friends, rather than a B&B. Highly recommended.
Pros: We had three rooms. Bedroom, bathroom and private sitting room, that was uhexpected. Breakfast was good and our host joined us for a long and entertaining chat, Be prepared for a late getaway. There is plenty of car parking space.
Cons: Not the owners fault but access to the property can be difficult at times as the property is situated on a single track road and is on a T-junction with another single track road that leads to two tourist attractions.
Pros: This was a return visit. One of the rooms had been converted to a sitting room which was ideal for me, because I had a lot of reading and preparation to do for my business meeting. The owners were friendly, helpful, obliging, and made me most welcome. It was a home from home for the 3 days.
Pros: This is a true bed and breakfast, complete with lovely and accommodating hosts who make breakfast and sit and talk with you during the meal, unlike many other B&Bs that offer self-serve breakfast or pay-extra breakfast. It is in a great location, nestled at the foot of Dollar Glen, with views of Castle Campbell from the dining room! The guest area has a separate entrance, and a living room, bathroom (with a great shower!), and bedroom, all of which are comfortable. Highly recommended!
Cons: The two single-size beds in the bedroom are not very comfortable, but the price reflects this.
Pros: Spacious, very comfortable, good hosts
Pros: We had a suite not just a bedroom and we were self-contained.Breakfast was excellent. We came as paying guests and left as friends.
Cons: Nothing. You cannot improve on perfection.
Pros: Very welcoming owners. The breakfast was very nice and the owners were happy to cater for requests. The accommodation is spacious.
Cons: WiFi wasn’t working during our stay. Owners let us use theirs but you couldn’t connect to it from the accommodation.
Pros: On a 30 day trip in Scotland, I somehow managed to save the best lodging for last, Tigh Ur. Rosey and Pete rent out only one room, but it is really three rooms in the back of their home. A large bedroom, a sitting room, and a nice bathroom make up this suite of rooms. Ultra clean, comfortable, private, and roomy space. But honestly, the real stars here are Pete and Rosey. They are salt of the earth types who cook a stupendous breakfast and love to visit with their guests. Dollar itself is a cool little village. Don’t miss a walk up Dollar Glen to Castle Campbell, one of highlights of the trip. Thanks Pete and Rosey...all the best to you folks!
Pros: Welcoming, friendly owners. Fabulous breakfast with an excellent menu. A superb view of Glen Clampbell. What a wee treasure! Wish we could have stayed longer. Definitely will plan to return in the future.

Pros: I had an absolutely amazing stay here for work - everything was to such a high standard, the host went above and beyond providing lovely extras such as home made cake and whisky in the room and the breakfast was absolutely delightful. I will definitely be staying again it really was a fantastic experience.
Pros: Wondeful house B&B Mike and Naomi very welcoming The dram of whiskey was very much appreciatted.
Pros: Generally superb - I was the only guest but made very welcome. Breakfast excellent.

Room very spacious and bed exceptionally comfortable. Every need was catered for. I have already recommended to family and friends. Located in Alloa, Inglewood House and Spa is within a 15-minute drive of Stirling Castle and National Wallace Monument. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The property is beautiful with lots of character. The rooms are spotless and huge with comfortable beds.
Cons: Had to go home
Pros: Fab location. Super cute accommodation with comfy bed. Helpful and friendly staff
Pros: Beautiful location with lovely staff. We stayed in a pod which was delightful.
Cons: Very poor breakfast
Pros: The food at the Inglewood Spa Hotel definitely exceeded expectations. We had high tea just after arriving, and dinner, plus brekkie in the morning. All of the food and drink was of amazing quality and great portion sizes. We stayed in one of the pods, which was great and ideal for two girls sharing. We bought some wine with us, and were able to sit out on the terrace in the evening to enjoy it. The weather was great for it. The spa facilties were lovely, and it was great to be able to use the hot tubs whenever we wanted.
Cons: The in room hairdryer could have been a little more powerful.
Cons: Very hot rooms
Pros: Attentive service, lovely experience in a historic inn, big light bedroom to relax and unwind.
Cons: The inn could use some cleaning in the open areas. Would be nice to see the detail work of the house well cared for. Would not keep me from referring to another party.
Pros: Warm welcome. Staff were all so friendly and attentive. Building is lovely and interesting. We really like hearing about the history of it and enjoyed seeing the old photographs on the walls. Food was AMAZING!! The indulgence spa was SO good. Ashley was friendly and very professional. My friend and I both felt amazing after our treatments. Bedroom was lovely. Clean and comfortable. Gardens were stunning. We will definitely be back!
Cons: I did feel the Spa was lacking without a swimming pool. But as we arrived on a very pleasant day, we did sit outside in the sunshine. So didn't miss it that much. The seating outside at the Spa is a great space, but could use a little more privacy. The hot beds in the sauna/Thermal room were too hot for me to sit on without a towel under me and even then I only lasted 5 minutes. Again, it was such a nice day.. I sat outside again.
Pros: lovely spa！
Cons: smelly bed room
Pros: Book it you won't be disappointed !
Cons: It was quite well placed for access to all places of interest good for shopping and local store is a 5 minutes walk away. And the owner is great nothing was to much trouble !
Pros: Quaint, quiet, cozy family-run B&B close to Dollar town center, main roads and local attractions (i.e. Castle Campbell). Great value for the price and operated by great folks who ensured our satisfaction with the accommodations.
Pros: Room was good, breakfast was great and owner was very helpful
Cons: public transport was very restricted to this place
Pros: The room was spotlessly clean. The beds comfortable. The owner friendly and very helpful.
Pros: Self service breakfast in your room. A fridge was supplied along with ingredients such as bread and cereals, so you could choose when to eat. There was a toaster supplied plus fruit juices, yogurts, fresh fruit, jams, butter etc. The bed was extremely comfortable, with a warm duvet cover - I slept really well.
Cons: Initially in the evening it was cold in my room, but to be fair it had been a hot day. When we chatted the next day, I mentioned it was a bit cool, the thermostat was changed and from then on, I was warm.
Pros: One of the most comfortable beds with lovely pillows. The shower was excellent. And what fantastic value for money.
Cons: The decor wasn't to my personal taste but it was certainly cheery.
Pros: Very quiet and relaxing, nice garden, amazing host. Room was small but perfect.
Pros: Great location. Good porridge. Great proprieter .
Pros: Quirky, happy-hippy vibe in the room, nice bright decor, great selection of books! Nathalie was very kind and generous with everything she provided, both breakfast and snacks.
Cons: All good.
With a stay at The Tormaukin Hotel in Dollar, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Gleneagles Golf Course and Gleneagles. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Excellent breakfast, lovely staff.
Cons: Room was a little tired, but clean and comfortable and an excellent price.
Cons: Food terrible
Pros: Very friendly staff and the breakfast was brilliant. Even the dog had a sausage given to her.
Cons: The bathroom is very tired and needs updating.
Pros: A hotel we have stayed at before and the standards of the past are still in place. Excellent food and the room was fine, also the location. Will visit again.
Cons: No real complaints.
Pros: The staff location decor
Pros: the main road to the hotel was closed at the time so we got to see the countryside room and food very good
Pros: Room excellent, food always good here
Cons: The Wheat Beastie beer was rank
Pros: The food was delicious and the setting on the hotel was lovely. The restaurant and snug bar were also very nice
Cons: The drinks were a little on the expensive side and the mattress was terrible. Very soft and you could feel the springs in it and on arrival the staff didnt seem to know what to do .
Pros: Friendly atmosphere, helpful staff, clean comfortable rooms. Breakfast was freshly cooked and simply perfect. Fresh filter coffee was lovely. Our wee puppy was made welcome too.
Pros: The food in the restaurant was brilliant as it has always been in the past,,, staff were brilliant as well... Breakfast was ok,,,,, not a patch on the breakfast a year or so ago but it was still good ish.......
Cons: The room was in a part joined onto the hotel, which we knew it would be (room9)..... The room was quite basic but really need a good touch of TLC..... The bathroom was totally disgusting, extractor not working, ceiling covered in mold, grout on tiles all black with mold Shower head and controller black with mold Tap on sink loose and ready to fall off very soon.... Bathroom not fit for purpose , and I have stayed in a few bad places before...I feel bad saying that about this place as I love this wee hotel but it really has gone down hill badly...never asked once did we enjoy our stay as I would of passed on my comments without airing it to the public
Located in Tillicoultry, Bridge Inn is within a 15-minute drive of Stirling Castle and National Wallace Monument. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Comfy and clean
Pros: Loved the location perfect for what we needed.
Cons: 1 pillow wasn’t enough a 2nd one would have made it more comfortable.
Pros: The room was basic but clean. Bed comfortable and staff friendly.
Pros: Place was very rustic and old fashioned which I totally love- staff were very friendly and eager to help with anything that was requested
Cons: Can't really think of anything bad except maybe the fire doors that bang closed everytime someone goes down the passage but that's a minor and wouldn't downgrade my opinion of the place because of it
Pros: We booked this room because it was near friends. The price was relatively low, but you get what you pay for (or maybe you don't).
Cons: No breakfast. Restaurant is out of business. Pub only. There are about 8 rooms above the old restaurant. Access to the rooms is a labyrinth of corridors and fire doors. After the first morning, we encountered an elderly couple in the hallway who were freaked out by the low-quality of the hotel, asking us "are you in shock, too?" The "free wifi" isn't really available from the rooms, which feel as if they were set-up in the 70s and left that way, but after registering with a website, you get a little wifi access from the pub or "room 9" which is a strange lounge directly above the pub. The bed is low, nearly at your ankles, and the mattress feels old. The kids who worked at the pub are your hotel staff (both were very nice), and when we tried to check out, we couldn't locate anyone (the pub was closed) despite walking all around the Inn looking for anyone to leave our key with. So we plodded back through the corridors to our room and left the key in there, leaving the door unlocked. We video-recorded the effort because it was so hilariously strange to be here.
Pros: Room was nice and big and the bed really comfy! Having an en-suite really makes a difference for privacy.
Cons: The TV is a little small for the size of the room and can be quite hard to see when changing channels to see what’s on. A couple of extra pillows for the bed also as only has one each.
Pros: Not a lot going fo it poor WiFi if any pub smells damp no food luxury room not very luxurious pub and rooms need total refurb
Cons: Cleaner place smells damp. Not value for money at all
Pros: It was cheap and thats exactly what we got.
Cons: Being left in the property overnight on our own.
Pros: The location and the view.
Cons: The room was dirty. Toilet seat was broken. The breakfast in the morning consisted of two containers of cereal, a tiny drop of milk suitable only for one cup of tea. The milks expiry date was out the next day. No bread for toast. In the fridge there were 3 cans of beer and a can of cider. Not a breakfast I would relish. We decided to leave at 9.15 and saw the girl coming along the road with milk. I confronted her about the breakfast but she was not apologetic. She just kept saying “I understand”! The language in the public bar the previous evening at 7pm was the most foul language I have ever heard displayed by a father and son and others. The girl working behind the bar had no control over the language. At this point we left the bar to wait for our taxi.
Pros: Great for work. Friendly staff
