9.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed and pillow and the room is always cleaned. Lovely sea view and beautiful sunset.
Cons: Nil
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Private onsen. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel but we rented a car so we did not use public transportation. Bus schedule is 2 buses every hour. It was low season so it was quiet at night and during the day as well. There is a beach steps away from hotel but it is not suitable for bathing although the water is crystal clear. Lots of selection for breakfast. Hotel is close to the flight path of NAHA international airport. Lots of people come during the day to watch flights landing. Our room is facing the sea side not the airport runway side so it quiet; we did not hear any noise in side our room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: In-room onsen, in-room amenities, Anji floor lounge, breakfast, front office service, choice of restaurants at the terrace, seaview.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The onsen on the balcony was amazing. Wish we had more time to enjoy the surrounding area.
Cons: The toilet room and sink in the bedroom were just odd. The toilet so small. Wish the sink area was enclosed in the toilet area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was great. Small portions, but a very large amount of food overall. The facilities was great, but the Onsen bath in my room was the best as I was able to completely relax without leaving my room and watching the Airplanes land and take off with no noise in my room was terrific. Double doors kept all outside noise out and allowed me to sleep great.
Cons: The only thing I did not like but completely understood, was the restaurant next to the facility had to close for deep cleaning to help fight COVID-19 to insure guest and customer safety. The food they serve is terrific. So not really a complaint, but more of a thank you for doing what is required for guest safety.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The onsen facilities and convenient room design. The view! Friendly n attentive staff, offered my boy a blanket when he was napping at the lobby
Cons: Nil
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel GranView Garden Okinawa in Tomigusuku, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Okinawa Outlet Mall Ashibinaa and Senaga Island. Featured amenities include a computer station, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. A shuttle from the hotel to the airport is complimentary (available 24 hours).
7.1 Good
Pros: Room with sea view and you can see the airplane as the property is nearby the Naha Airport. Various choice of food for the breakfast, there is a swimming pool, good for people with kids or child. Easy to access by outlet and shopping mall.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: great location, big bed, baby bed available
6.7 Good
Cons: The lobby flowers decoration has to be changed. It is full of dust. Bad smell came out from the hair dry.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The swimmingpool is quiet nice, small but its ok. Breakfast is mostly japanese food, but you can find some bread and cornflakes with milk. You can also walk on the beach and to the shopping mall just for 5min.
Cons: The airport is very close, so you can hear all the airplanes every minute.
7.9 Good
Pros: Free airport drop-off, hot spring bath free for hotel customers, on-site restaurant, alcohol vending machines.
Cons: Strange smell in the bathroom. A little far from the city, wouldn't recommend staying there without a car. No convinient stores or supermarkets nearby. The beach and the pool slide were closed due to bad weather.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean. Small but comfortable room. Simple but delicious breakfast. Looking out the balcony, you can see the airplanes up close as they land at Naha Airport
Cons: Ocean view is more fishing port view. If you open the balcony doors, the noise of the planes can be loud, but doors closed, you can’t really hear anything.
4.0 Okay
Pros: I liked the breakfast. Whilst the breakfast was mostly Japanese food, it was very suitable for diabetic dieters except that the bread was too delicious.
Cons: I booked a balcony room expecting to photograph aircraft. The angle was better from the evacuation staircase so a cheaper City View would have been adequate. It is not really walking distance to Umikaji Terrace (2 hours?) but the walk affords great photographing opportunities of flying things, including birds, especially when the tide is out. Most staff have very little English. There is very little alternative eating nearby. The arrival was not very welcoming compared to other parts of Japan. Initial shuttle bus booking needed a Japanese speaker. There were problems with the internet connection and it was difficult to communicate that the problem was from the router to the internet and not from device to the router. The problem recurred on the last night but was sorted while I was having breakfast. The hotel encourages bookings for football camps and school groups, so may not be the best option for independent travellers.
7.9 Good
Pros: Staff was very polite. Thank you.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: In general, the hotel was nice and the staff very friendly, the room was a bit small but very comfortable and clean.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The beds and pillows! We had such good sleep with no back or neck aches, which only happens with good bedding system. Favourite part was, we did not ask for room service, yet the hotel placed a full set of new towels, robes and toiletries outside our doors so that we still can receive clean set for use. Impeccable customer service, with great personal touch to make us all feeling well hosted by the hotel.
Cons: The space was an issue as we had a few pieces of luggages. Could not help it when our room in particular had a pillar, blocking more space for use.
10.0 Excellent

1.0 Poor
Pros: The location was good, the staff were very nice and helpful...
Cons: ... but I asked (for two time) a high floor with a nice view, I did that before arriving and I knew why... And I got this room (see picture). What a wonderful view :-( This is the reason I can only give them a low score.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It in good condition.
Cons: Nope
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Brand new hotel. Double room good size with seating area. Very comfortable Simmons bed with comfortable pillows and nice bedding. Extremely helpful staff. They helped me liase with the rental car company. Good breakfast featuring Okinawan specialities. I paid slightly less than 9000 yen room only for sole use. Total of 4 washers and dryers. Convenient charging cables for portable devices in the room.
Cons: Nothing.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is close to monorail station, but one stop away from the major shopping area. So it's not as crowded and noisy, but still close enough if you like touristy spots.. I have found more local & real Japanese restaurants & bars near in the nearby alleys. Hotel staffs are helpful and speak good English. Everything you expect from a Japanese hotels.
Cons: N/A
9.0 Excellent
Pros: excellent location. near to monorail station, walking distance to shopping belt and close to airport with taxi fare about 1500 yen. extremely polite service from the hotel staff.
Cons: no window view as it was block by the adjacent building, The room is dark even the curtain is open. No drive way for parking the car to unload the luggage.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is phenomenal! Restaurants and nightlife nearby but not right in the center of the mess. The hotel itself is very beautiful. The inclusion of an onsen was just what my tired body needed, it was very clean and open.
Cons: I wish there were towels in the onsen! I went up without one and had to go back to my room without drying off. Of course there were various signs but I didn't notice until afterwards. The coffee was not very good, granted it was included in breakfast and available at check in - so free is good - if you're a coffee snob, skip it.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Conveniently located near the Kokusai-Dori Shopping area as well as a train station. Although the room was a bit small, it was nice and clean. Onsen bath was really nice and relaxing. Laundry facility was helpful. The breakfast was delicious and amazing- great selection including the local Okinawan food!

3.0 Mediocre
Pros: I really liked the location of the hotel.
Cons: Didn't like that the pool wasn't open until 3p. What is that?! Why have a pool if you can't be by it during the morning / early afternoon? The concierge wasn't too helpful, and the room was VERY small. Much smaller than anticipated.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great that it is located next to a Family Mart and rail station. Since it is near a rail station, access to airport is easy and fuss-free and can also take the rail towards the main shopping street. It was also nice that even if your reservation did not come with buffet breakfast, they do a free take-out breakfast that comes with a bun, peanut cookie, drink and banana.
Cons: The rooms are on the small side. Given that it is Japan, and that most toilets are heated and have smart technology, I was expecting the hotel’s toilet to be similar too. Not a big issue but would have been a nice touch if they were. There was no access to a microwave oven within the hotel which we needed because we needed to prepare food for our toddler. We wanted to do massage but couldn’t because it had to be done in the room but we had a sleeping child. It would have been good if they had a facility specially for massage or allocate a room for it.
9.0 Excellent

Cons: old building, slow lift
6.0 Good
Cons: Doubletree at shuri castle was way better
1.0 Poor
Pros: The location is great, near bus stop and mono railway stop.
Cons: Room is smaller than expectation--I knew hotel in japan is small, didn't know it can be this small. And worst of all, THERE'S A LOT OF BLOOD ON THE MATRESS under bed sheet!! I suppose previous guest had menstruation on bed, and the hotel only changes the sheet, not the matress. Too gross to took a picture.
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: My experience with its restaurant was extremely TERRIBLE. When we went to the restaurant for breakfast, the staff brought us to a table directly exposed to such strong sunshine that I could hardly open my eyes while having breakfast with my travel mate. The curtains were nearly transparent and barely able to provide any shade. Moreover, the staff did not offer to help us switch to another table, so I had to request them to change by myself. Then they brought us to another table just BESIDE THE SIDE DOOR through which very cold winds kept blowing in. Tired of changing again, we finished the breakfast while putting up with the cold winds. In short, there were lots of issues with the settings of the restaurant.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location and excellent service from staff.

7.5 Good
Pros: Room was nice, toilet and bath are spacious.
Cons: The building structure shakes during the typhoon Tapah and it made me so dizzy and didn’t get a good night sleep. Also, with their nightly rate per night I can’t believe they can’t provide free internet to their customers which a basic service for most hotels.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Hotel staff were wonderful. My mother was having problems with her knees which limited her to a wheelchair so they switched us to a wheelchair accessible room and quickly provided me with one of the handicap parking spots in front of the hotel. The beds and linen were heavenly. Finally, the view from our room on the 16th floor was fabulous.
Cons: Hotel is located in extremely hilly Shuri with nothing really of merit within walking distance. That forces you to rely on the hotel's facilities for goodies and all your meals unless you drive somewhere. Restaurants are a bit fancy and pricey and the hotel's convenience store is tiny with a limited selection. We quickly learned to hit a market before heading back to the hotel each day.

Pros: - Pool area is decent - Shuttle bus is a good help given the location but gets very busy
Cons: - We tried breakfast one morning toward the end of service (9.40 when service stops at 10am), food was dreadful and everything allowed to go cold, staff begun clearing up around us. Breakfast at the end of service really ought to be as good as the start for the price they charge. Very disappointing. - Rooms smelt musty and mouldy
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Room! And location of hotel!
Cons: Sad that the pool and bar was closed. But for understandable circumstances...
9.2 Excellent
Pros: 1. Clear and comfortable bedroom 2. Kind and professional Chinese staff 3. Help book and return rented car 4. The environment is quite quietly
Cons: 1. Bright light from the alarm clock would reduce sleep quality 2. Convenient store is far from the hotel
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The room was very comfortable and spacious. Amazing city/sea view. Great breakfast. The staff were awesome and nothing was too much trouble for them.
Cons: The hotel was a little bit of a walk from the nearest monorail station and was a little bit hilly especially with heavy luggage.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Complimentary parking. Nice views from the room window. Welcome cookies
Cons: No complimentary water for a standard twin room. Entrance to the hotel from the main road is easily missed. Room slippers were not the disposable kind- raises sanitary concern

6.0 Good
Pros: The location is fine next to mart and monorial
Cons: The service isn't as exprected, room was not properly checked before letting customer to check-in and no water is provided on the second day of stay,
5.8 Okay
Pros: Good SPA facilities and free for laundry
Cons: Room too small for 3 persons
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The family room was surprisingly big ( we were given a bigger family room - Thank you). The sofa and spare beds were a little soft, overall acceptable. Great location- within minutes walking to shopping streets.
Cons: Sofa bed could have been better ( mattress too soft). We were not given toothbrushes, luckily we had so many spares ones from the previous hotel.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location which was easy to find by monorail and foot by two weary travellers. There are a tonne of local restaurants dotted in the back streets behind the hotel for you to choose from. If you are drawn to the shopping strip it is a four minute walk away. Lovely wide open foyer at reception with two trinket shops towards the back exit. We chose to have breakfast included in our room rate and we were not disappointed with the variety of international and local dishes. We had the ability to wash our clothes ourselves for free (or use the laundry service for a fee if we so chose) which was very welcomed. There is a spa and wellness centre on site for facial, foot and body treatments. But most importantly there was genuinely friendly and welcoming staff all over the hotel who were more than happy to help us whenever we needed.
Cons: That bed. That rock hard, back-breaking bed. I can see why there is a spa on site because every morning we woke up broken. The spa services on site are astronomical in price and all the good work of our beautiful masseuses was completely undone by another nights rest in that bed.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The staff are very friendly and helpful after provided feedback to them on their bed conditions.
Cons: Their pillows and mattresses can be better.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel with friendly staff Spacious room by Japanese standard Excellent blackout blinds Lounge with coffee and snacks was a nice touch Short 5min walk to the monorail
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Great service and breakfast- definitely get the breakfast!
Cons: The wifi was not as strong and steady as I would like to see. Seemed to stall quite often.

Cons: Nil

7.1 Good
Pros: Room with sea view and you can see the airplane as the property is nearby the Naha Airport.
Thank you.
