Staff very helpful made good recommendation for food locally. Cheap budget hotel ideal as a one night stopover on way South. Good breakfast well presented
Sleeping, after a very long drive from Montpellier Despite directions, finding it in the dark, with two roads with similar names, was an unwanted challenge
receptionist very helpful &lbuffet breakfast booked a triple(3 beds,) given a double bed + a single. For 3 men. not pleased
A modern, clean and spacious hotel with welcoming staff. It was easy to find and although on the main road into Aurillac was very quiet. Easy to find good places to walk the dog who was travelling with us. Breakfast was ok. It is a short drive to get to the centre of the town for restaurants but other than that the hotel is good value.
perfect restaurant and swimming pool in nice calm landscape
the setting and history were exquisite.
sprendid view from the hotel windows and beautiful attendance of the owner of chateau. there were few guests in the hotel due to out of season,so restaurants menu was a bit poor.
Comfort of rooms Tried to offer us same table d'hote menu two nights running
The location and setting were absolutely superb. The pool was very clean and the view from the restaurant was stunning Coffee at breakfast was dreadful - a bit quiet for our liking - everyone spoke in whispers
we liked the view of the valley and the surrounding mountains, and the outside terrace. The lack of staff, the size and furnishing of the room and the general grubbiness of the hotel.
The hotel was everything we hoped for and the views from the grounds and our bedroom amazing. The food was first class . We enjoyed the fitness centre as the swimming pool unfortunately was closed at this time of year.
The accommodation and setting. Our welcome was very poor. We were not shown our accommodation and had difficulty finding it as there were no available staff and no signs. We were not given any information regarding meals, dining room, or facilities. We did approach the manager in charge with our complaints and he was very pleasant. They did try to make amends but unfortunately the initial impression was very poor and lasted
Position Room lighting
Comfortable hotel in a picturesque location. Excellent restaurant. Lack of signage made it difficult to find.
There was a lovely view from the room which had a bacony and the room was spacious, warm and well furnished.
Very nice setting in the countryside and conveniently located right outside the village of Salers - within a short pleasant walk with the family. Please write at least 15 words The breakfast was very poor, no fresh local produce at all, only pre-packaged products. The 9euro per person was not justified.
The room was spacious and there was a nice balcony. Parking is convenient. Breakfast was satisfactory. The hotel is within an easy short drive to the center of the village.
Very friendly manageress ;lovely view over historic town & countryside, good pool. In middle of stunning countryside to explore. Very few non-French in hotel or area generally Lights around pool didn`t go off till 2am so had to close shutters during warm nights. No restaurant so had to go down to town but enjoyed variety of hostelries
The hotel staff were most welcoming and friendly. We liked the fact that it was family run. The only thing was that the bedside light was not strong enough fo rreading.
Clean, good sized room. Good restaurant albeit breakfast bit limited No air conditioning so window open overnight-some local traffic noise
Centrally located, free WIFI, good value.
The hotel staff were friendly however the room was disappointing. The bed did not have a headboard which led to disappearing pillows. The showe was almost bigger than the room.
Simple family hotel. Nice swimming pool. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are still adequate but will need renovation soon. Location within walking distance of city centre: 30 minutes going to the city, 40 minutes coming back (because of steep hill). Not very convenient, but there is no better alternative. Slightly smelly rooms.
Helpfulness of staff and quiet situation out of town Rooma quite small
Warm greeting on arrival. Helpful and attentive (but not intrusive) staff. Everything was very 'stylish'. Website said that the rooms were very individual - and they were. Our 'Comfort' room overlooked the courtyard/terrace (bit intrusive having a path right outside your ground floor room window, but the rooms have nets and automatic shutters) and had a brown and cream butterflies theme throughout, with a four poster bed with light net 'curtains'. Even at dinner, the salt and pepper are stylish 'sculptures' of two figures in an embrace. Lovely. Would recommend. Its quite a way from the town centre and, strangely, in a 100% residential area. But perfect for an overnight stop if you are passing through.
The whole ambience of the hotel; the food; the staff and the facilities, in such a beautiful part of the countryside.
Location good. Nice sight! When coming back late no light in parking and outdoor. Breakfast too expensive for what it actually was.
stunning location. very quiet, wonderful views across the valley Food hugely overpriced.
A beautiful setting and a very good hotel with welcoming staff
The beautiful location, relaxing atmosphere, excellent evening meals, very pleasant staff, comfortable lounge and outside sitting areas. The evening meal was limited to a set menu of 3 or 4 courses which was exactly the same for the 3 nights of our stay. On the third night we had to go somewhere else to eat, just for a change!
Pleasant hotel, close to the facilities we required, clean and pleasant, bathroom adequate and breakfast sufficient. Air conditioning did not produce enough cold, although our friend next door had no problem with his. Noisy when we opened the window.
Open environment made the outside look bright and airy. Rooms were dimly lit, making it difficult to read maps preparing for the onward journey. 2 pillows per person would have been more comfortable. Better surface on the approach and car park would have been safer as we arrived by motorcycle.
Easy to find, good parking lot. Clean. Very cheap. Facile trouver, bon parking. Propre. Excellent rapport qualit-prix. Narrow bathroom, bad pillows. Salle-de-bain troite. Oreilliers mdiocres.
Staff very helpful as we do not speak French, and the food was very good.
The location alone sells this place! It deserves 5 star status for the location alone! Not a huge choice for breakfast but was quickly forgotten about with the views and the driving roads to and from this hotel!
The menu was somewhat limited
position, staff,an excellent visit, will return, have already recommended to family for the summer no
location Lack of ventilation in rooms. Unable to open any windows.
The location is great - very relaxing and no traffic noise. The mist on the lake in the morning was magical. Food was basic but plentiful and staff were pleasant and helpful. Twin rooms only had 2ft 6in beds which are quite narrow for adults, although very comfortable. Also, in very warm weather, a window would be a great asset for night time ventilation.
Nice accomodation close to the lac + simple but good food. The lac is reserved for fishing, so no bathing and even no walk way around.
Friendly comfortable Hotel with spacious grounds and beautiful scenery with views overlake and mountain. Accesible walks of every kind. Food is excellent with good servings and interesting choces When the room door is closed at night there is no ventilation, because the night vent is covered by a curtain over the glass of the door. There is no window.Shower has no curtain.
Beautiful setting; lovely outdoor dining facilities
the couple that own and run the hotel made us feel very welcome from the moment they came out to us as we arrived untill we left food nice rooms nice lots of outside places to sit and relax by the river by the pool nice break
Very helpful, friendly staff. Clean, functional facilities. Good position for ramblers, tourists. Nice swimming pool. Noise of traffic from nearby road.
the care and attention of the propriator and his wife. the comfort and effort made to improve the hotel impressive the meal provided in the evening could be improved although not unacceptable.
The friendly proprietors, the pool and the food provided Proximity of the road
