Very friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast, free parking, free internet, comfortable room. No elevator in the wing where my room was located, so had to carry luggage up stairs.
Nice location, pleasant staff, good food in restaurant, nice sauna and relaxation area very slow service in restaurant. No longer has a fitness room although mentioned in the hotel description
Very good hotel, with excellent spa center, very nice surroundings, especially if you are going to spend time in Metzingen shopping centers.Personnel was very friendly and food in restaurant was very tasty and well made.
We were very impressed with the friendly and helpful approach of the staff - we phoned to confirm our arrival and the owner offered to prepare some food as the restaurant would be closed by the time of arrival. The room had an interesting open plan layout. The balcony was a bonus. Very comfortable, clean and a 'design' feel. Breakfast was very good. The location is semi-rural/village location. Parking was not a problem.
The room was very nice. The staff were very helpful and the food in the resaurant, good.
Friendliness of the staff was exceptional, quality of food was great, the beers are excellent, and the rooms are very original and stylishly designed
The staff was very helpful and courteous. The food was fine and the beer from the Brauerei was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable, and the free internet was a real plus (and one of the reasons we chose this hotel). We always prefer family hotels to the large corporate ones, and this was certainly a family affair . . . with a personal touch. To be honest, the styling of the rooms wouldn't really be to our taste, but we are all different . . . and it certainly didn't bother us any.
Renovated brewery turned into modern boutiquish hotel/restaurant. Good dinner/breakfast. Clean, new, stylish comfortable. Staff was very kind. Hefe Weisse is great, Helles not so much. 15 minute drive from Schoss Lichtenstein and Barenhohle/Nebelhohle. Half the bedroom floor was concrete, so sounds echo. The hallway door closing can be heard in all rooms. The village is in the middle of nowhere.
the hotel was very stylish set in a quiet country setting the restaurant was very good the restaurant closes at 19.00 on Sunday which we did not know prior to arrival on a Sunday
The staff is extremely friendly and the hostess at the buffet was very helpful. The food was standard but the presentation is excellent; ventilation needs help in order to close the window to block noise from the main street traffic outside the hotel; furniture a little dated: the easy chair could have been alittle more comfortable.
Room at street side are loud
Great location, friendly staff No airconditioning
Excellent quality rooms and service. Very politte & pleasant staff
Hotel staff are friendly. Food is good. Lack of car park space.
it was nice and quite
The bar which was a smoking area ! This is not acceptable !
Warmth and food. Excellent service in the restaurant.
everything was ok, nothing to complain.
to have a good rest after driving a lot nothing
It is good value for the room and the breakfast is very good. The staff are extremely helpful, friendly and accomodating. The hotel had a great visiting room in the basement. They had bikes to borrow too.
The rooms are
Spotless clean. Very quiet. Very nice space and rooms. Beautiful breakfast.Very nice staff.
Excellent breakfast, everywhere immaculately clean
Free wifi. Pet allowed for free. Only german newspaper
Good hotel for exploring Metzingen outlets, nice staff, pleasant breakfast
Nice and comfortable rooms, quiet location, good breakfast, very nice staff and free parking just by the hotel.
Our room was large by European standards even though we had to have an extra cot for our daughter. Bathroom was great. View out the front was nice as well. We will stay there again. Convenient to area sights. Breakfast was excellent. Standard European breakfast buffet, but they would also make you something to order if you liked - eggs, pancakes, etc.
Breakfast Rooms do not have Air Acondition
Staff is very kind and helpfull. This hotel looks like 3 star or less from the outside. Also the lobby and reception area should have a refreshing update.
location, Sunday breakfast, large comfort double room, Maybe better info on Internet about reaching the hotel from various directions (local map would be fine).
Very friendly staff. Easy to find the way. 1 l Coca-cola 6,50 euro is not ok!
The friendly helpfulness of the reception desk staff Needs updating - everywhere. Restaurant service was very slow and poor (food was OK).
staff are very friendly. very helpful, Pillows were too soft , this was the case with most of the hotels we staid in
Excellent staff. Facitilies were acceptable. Location was tolerable. Only a one night stay, but would stay there again on a repeat visit. The location was right next to the motorway and leaving the window open filled the room with exhaust fumes.
Far from 4 star hotel.
near my work destination old style 70's
Simple and clean family business Hardly any water coming out of the shower
Very friendly owner and his family. I highly recommend the hotel to every one wants to visit that area in Germany. Very hospitable and generous No
Very good restaurant attached. Part of the brewery !
Old fashioned family hotel located in front of their own brewery - in reality the hotel looks better than on the photos, which is quite odd. Really good offer for its price.
Fischer's are very nice people !!!
Close to the Castle. Very Quiet. We picked this Hotel because of Brewery and it was close on Saterday and Pub was far out downtown.
Very kind hotel staff, had great reccomendations for the town and the surrounding, the room itself was also good - clean and comfy.
The owners were very friendly. There was a restaurant that was very good next to the hotel. There had been smokers in our room, so the room smelled of cigarettes.
The staff was very helpful--did our laundry when there wasn't a laudramat in the town. Good breakfast and very friendly service. A little trouble communitcating due to lack of English spoken
It supplied exactly what it advertised. Good quality accomodation at a reasonable rate.
Very good breakfast, friendly staff, nice building in the centre of the village, nice surroundings The car park is relatively small and it was full, but there are other places to park your car close to the hotel
Everything about our stay was perfect except it was in the middle of nowhere which did suit us as it was cheap and we could drive anywhere we needed to go. We were in Zurich within 2 hours for a day trip. Lots of mountains and a couple of castles no more the 30 mins away. The staff were so kind and the hotel was very clean and tidy.
was very dated, hotel was the only place in the village / town
The breakfast buffet was fantastic !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rooms and bathroom were clean. Hotel was quiet and quaint. The tv in our room was way too small and only had about 8 channels. Plus, the curtains were sheer white, so when the sun rose the light came blasting into our room waking me up at 5:00 A.M. Need dark curtains, please !!!!!!!!!!
We received a very warm welcome in this very happy family-run hotel. The room we stayed in was quiet and spacious.
spacious modern room with balcony, extra beds available, nice view on the castle, good coffee breakfast buffet substandard, strict checkout policy (10am), price a bit on the expensive side but still OK, rooms nice - but otherwise the building, restaurant and immediate sourrounding just fair.
Pleasant personal, good hotel. No
Very clean spacious comfortable room. Great view of the castle. Helpful staff. Straightforward but pleasant breakfast. Hotel restaurent is good value for money.
My second stay in this hotel. Perfect hospitality - large rooms, very clearn - very friendly staff.
Restaurant closes unexpectedly very early (20:00) so if you return late and want to have dinner in the restaurant, think about something else.
no tea/coffee making facility in room
Very good location with parking in the center of the city. The room was nice and people at reception and breakfast were very kind (english and french speaking).
Big rooms, good wellness facilities The hotel is dated. Most things are old, some things are broken. Our sink was broken so we had to move to another room.
The reception staff were very helpful, assisting us when needing local information, photocopying etc.The breakfast was outstanding and restaurant staff also very pleasant. For a family hotel, which was what we needed, it was expensive, but we knew the price so can't complain and the location was good.Tea or coffeee facilities during the day would have been good, especially at that price, even Premier Inns have a kettle etc, so it was more like a B&B in that respect.!
Indoor pool for the kids when I had to do some work.
The sauna was nice and the pool, good for relaxing after a long day Would be nice if the sauna was open longer.
small but nice indoor swimming pool
The Hotel breakfast was good and the room spacious. The TV was old and channels were mostly non-english.
I was concerned when we turned up and the reception was locked, but a quick phone call brought the owner to let us in. There was a lack of staff on duty but all the facilities were very good and the breakfast excellent. We would stay again even though we christened it the "Marie Celeste"!
This hotel, though to my knowledge not correctly described as a proper 4 star hotel (as stated), is a great option should you find yourself in need of accomodation in its region. The rooms are very spacious, very clean and offer a cosy feeling. The whereabouts consist of small German village, on the outskirts of which you can find the hotel. It is a perfect place for relaxing, taking a breath of fresh air, going outdoors or just enjoying the unobstructed views of the surrounding hills right from your room. The breakfast was kind of basic, otherwise fresh and tasty, but plain (even by non-German standards).
The extreme helpfulness of the lady who welcomed us. , who also helped and advised us when having dinner in the down the hill restaurant ( which was part of the complex.) . Perhaps as a result of ( see below, ) we got a very nice room with a beautiful view. The fact that in the first instance there was no reaction to our presence, which made us wonder about it all. This was taken away when : see 3 above!...... NB I have not looked at other guest reviews.
Very calm and quiet hotel set in a beautiful location.
There is a village about 2 km from the Hotel with good restuarants. In the evenings it is peaceful since during our stay there were only about 6 rooms in the Hotel of the over 30 rooms were occupied. If you are not German speaking just stay away. At arrival their was no one at the hotel to assist. Only a message in German. After figuring out that we can phone the number, none of the staff could speak English. Only after mentioning that I am going to write a review, the staff/owner remembered that theycould speak and understand some English. There is no staff in the evenings to assist and reality differs from the 4 star pictures presented.
We arrived pretty late and hungry; although the hotel restaurant was closed the owners offered us a good dinner at their tavern, thanks! Unfortunately I must admit it does not correspond to 4*. The rooms are pretty old-fashioned and, from my point of view, must be renovated; breakfast is rather poor. When we came downstairs about 9.00 breakfast was not finished but there were almost no meal left and the stuff did not even try to fill in what had been eaten.
Location was excellent with beautiful views.
