Best Tsarabanjina Island hotelsShow all
Wake up to the ocean at your door at this Tsarabanjina property, which is nestled on the beach.
Pros: WiFi and internet connection minimal. First time in years that me and my husband talked to each other over breakfast, lunch and dinner without electronic interference. Hotel arrange all transfers to and from island. No overwhelming interference from locals at airport. Staff are extremely helpful, but still discreet and respect your privacy.
Cons: They do offer family rooms, but expect a proper intimate family vacation. You will spend time with your children, not the staff. Some might see this as a negative, but in my opinion it ads more value to a family vacation!
Pros: It is breath-taking when you arrive at the island after an hour of a rough and fume intense boat ride. The beauty of the island will let you shortly forget that you spend a small fortune just to get there. Apart from the chalets that are well equipped there are some downsides: meals and the buffet experience is more of a two-star budget hotel. Besides, buffets result in a high amount of food wastage. Electricity and desalination are generated by diesel generators that leave a malodorous smell on the island. Diesel canisters are transported to the island every day on the shuttle boats from the main land.
Cons: Amazingly, many turtles’ nests are on the island that would need the attention of an on-site marine biologist to assist in the nesting and hatching, also to guide visitors to respect the animals. Unfortunately, all chalets as well as the restaurant have outside lights that are illuminated during the night. The light pollution makes it almost impossible for the tiny turtles to find their way into the sea after the hatching as they move towards the light. Plastic straws that have a detrimental effect on marine life and turtles are added to almost every drink. Wastewater is partly treated and then released into the ocean; wastewater traces are visible when you walk around the island. Up to now, biodegradable detergents are not used. The corals are beautiful but sadly not fully intact, bleaching or destroyed because of snorkelling, diving, motor yachts, sun screens, sewage water and finally Climate Change. A beautiful island but more environmental consciousness and improved environmental management is needed to protect it.
Pros: Everything was amazing! from the welcome to the island to the emotional send off. The team at Constance Tsarabanjina is like family away from home. We were very sad to leave. The snorkeling was great. Food was delicious. And the atmosphere and the general resort surroundings was spectacular. The views from the room was breathtaking and the made island living a dream come true. The island is definitely a slice of heaven.
Pros: Quiet, clean, secluded, delicious food
Pros: If someone would tell me Close your eyes and picture the perfect place, perfect white sand, amazing sea, excellent food and amazing staff, I would have pictured exactly this place. Not a bad word to say. Thank you for everything!!
Pros: The island
Cons: Food, staff, services, all bad
Pros: Everything, the best holiday ever!!!
Cons: The smoking of unconsidered guests!!!
