Nomad Beach Resort

The Sands at Nomad is an exceptional, world-class resort located on a prime site on Diani Beach, Kenya. The resort is surrounded by tropical forest which ensures that there is no outside noise pollution. The forest is home to a variety of creatures, including at least 2 types of monkeys (Black and white Colobus and Syke's or Samango monkeys) Dik-dik, Bush babies (Grester Galago) and numerous species of birds. The accommodations are spacious and comfortable, ranging from standard Sea Breeze rooms to private villas. There are a wide range of watersports and activities on offer.

Whilst the breakfast buffet at Nomads Beach Bar was very good, other meals could be disappointing. The Smoked sailfish Carpaccio was delicious, but the pizza, despite an Italian chef, was tasteless. We did not try the barbecue or teppanyaki alternatives and were informed that the signature Indulge restaurant was closed. Overall a disappointing dining experience.

The location of the hotel is stunning, the beachfront seems the best out of all the adjacent hotels. The layout of the structure is great, you never feel like there is a crow around, truly relaxing and private experience. The hotel staff are lovely and kind. The management is extremely friendly and helpful.

Another point worth mentioning is the GM and all hotel management and staff who treat the ‘adopted’ local dogs and cats as if they were family.
