Pros: We did not have breakfast at the facility; they did not discount our stay. That was for 8 people not eating at the facility. Also, did not receive a receipt for our payment.
Cons: A receipt would have been appreciated, and since we did not have breakfast there, I think we should have been discounted. The reason we did not eat there was because they would not serve it at 7 am. He said breakfast could not be served until 9:30 am, byn which time we were long into our daily activity.
Pros: Mitzi, Dave, & Martha were great. Lots of interesting history here. Good, filling, wholesome breakfast.
Pros: The Jones family made us feel welcome and part of the family. The facilities are period perfect, clean and well kept. They went well beyond our expectations to help find locations in and around Unionville. A perfect setting with wonderful people.
Cons: Can't think of a thing.
Pros: Mitzi and David! This is a special get-away. Historic and secluded. These are old dwellings/house's brought back from the 1800's with love, sweat and hard labor. It's obvious - love sweat and hard labor is here. If you are looking for a Marriot/Hilton experience - go there. If you want a comfortable go back in time stay here. Breakfast is wonderful - talk around the table with guests is wonderful. My wife and I have traveled all around the world and there are those special places you always remember - this is one. Enjoy you stay - enjoy " being "
Cons: We only stayed 2 days!
Pros: This is a unique venue, hand-built and still maintained by a quietly passionate resident of a true ghost town and his family. We go out of our way to stay there—for the last decade or so. Nothing quite like it.
Cons: Nothing negative. We are thrilled to spend time there. Not for everyone—quite isolated.
Pros: The house was beautifully decorated and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the hosts were very thoughtful and friendly. Our kids loved exploring the garden and visiting all the animals.
Pros: This is our second stay. It has a old west appeal and is a real ghost town turned B&B. The breakfast is GREAT. The rustic mining town housing is clean, comfortable and old but with modern facilities. Great quite country setting. Will consider for a family reunion.
Cons: It is remote but that is part of its charm.
Pros: you can stop at a roadside hotel or come here. in both cases you will have comfort, wifi and free parking. but here you will have in addition true nature and a beautiful human encounter
Pros: I am not exaggerating. My family and I thought it was THE BEST breakfast we had ever eaten in our entire lives! The ingredients were fresh and delicious. The location is beautiful and very remote.
Pros: Owner was awesome, super nice guy, very relaxed and we talked for a good while about life, the universe and Sandra Bullock. Room was wonderful, great selection of VHS movies and breakfast was amazing - home cooked and delicious. I cannot recommend The Old Pioneer Inn enough.
Cons: Nothing, was brilliant.
