The staff and management were the best I have ever encountered in all my years of travel. The General Manager got wind of my need for dress clothes for a presentation and he arranged for his staff, a very kind and professional Gisela, to escort us to a shopping mall to get what was needed. I was amazed at the thoughtfulness.
there have some staff 24 hours sleep naer my door and 3 days no body claen mr room
Nice Sea facing place. But was not given the 6/7/8 floor I requested inspite me visiting the previous day to see the Room & facilities and confirming the stay & then booking thriugh your site for the Online discount. The TV was not going through and inspite if few calkl to reception / H. keeping no body attended it or recognised it. On the day we left a House keeping gentleman cam and fixed it by using the other Remote , which should have been done 24 hrs before.IOtherwise the food & other facilities are good.
It was very central and the Hotel Staff was very friendly. Had a corner room with both windows having a view to the sea.
The shower had plenty of hot water... There was nothing else nice about the place, except feeding the fish near the elevator. I suppose leaving was the best part! The hotel is not on the ocean. You must cross a highway and walk through a slum to get to the beach.
Nice pleasant modernish rooms the spa was seedy. I can't recommend at all
It is not a bad hotel , but needs a lot of renovation . I stayed at tha top floor and it leaked from raining .The leakage was dangerous as water comes from lights and roof. I do not think I got the value of my money, though the hotel is a nice one and with nice location.
room large and pleasant, staff helpful there was nothing I disliked
The location of the hotel is very good. Staff very friendly and answered all the question I asked. Rooms size big enough. The swimming pool and other facilities were under maintenance, which I was not informed with the booking. The windows of the rooms were permanently closed, so no fresh air. TV Remote broken.
Hotel employees were very nice. Facilities need to be renovated.
The restaurants, wide choices of breakfast menu and room service was excellent. Nothing specific
The hotel's design and amenities are what you'd expect from a boutique chain, and the majority of the staff are welcoming, attentive, and respectful. The rooms are excellent; clean, well-appointed, and tech enabled. The food options in the hotel are a good value, and the gym, pool, and rooftop bar provide ample opportunity to unwind. Though I didn't experience it personally, several members of my party (along with many, many, many guests) had their room keycards malfunction throughout the stay. These keycards control access to your floor as well as your room, and are required to enable power in your room for lights, outlets, etc. The hotel itself is very, very small, so if you go to the restaurant, or the lobby, or the rooftop bar, or the pool, or the gym, at the wrong time, you'll be waiting or will be out of luck. The elevators say they hold 11 people max, but barely fit five people comfortably. All these quibbles are minor when considering the price you pay for the clean, excellent rooms and service.
Great hotel, exceeded my expectationd in every way. Would defintely stay here again.
This chic hotel just five minutes from the Liberty mall and National Museum is a great place to stay in Colombo. It reminds me of the boutique hotels in San Francisco, with quirky design and elegance. Most of the staff were very helpful and pleasant. The breakfast buffet is a good deal and includes both western and traditional dishes. The rooftop bar is a great place to relax, as is the infinity pool. It's a great value for the money, compared to other hotels in the capitol. Since most staff were helpful and friendly, those who weren't stood out quite a bit. The hotel lobby is oddly split, with check in on the 7th floor. For all its charm, the hotel is VERY small and so the restaurant, bar, and pool can fill up very quickly.
Definitely a pleasant first experience in Sri Lanka, standards of cleanliness and organization is excellent. staff are very helpful and location is quite central Only minor thing is that i did not get the room i was assigned at booking (garden view). i got a street facing room which was quite noisy early in the morning with the train buzzing by every few minutes just steps away.
The hotel is a very nice boutique hotel, with good taste in decoration, comfortable, almost luxurious. The suites are wide and very comfortable. The stay in Casa Colombo is truly a unique experience, very enjoyable. The hotel charges you for services performed by other companies, mainly the transfers. What happens is that you pay double the price for services, retaining the hotel half of what you pay. I requested the hotel transfer from the airport and, although I was promised a luxury car, and expected a nice car from the hotel, I was contacted at the airport by an Avis employee and was transported by a regular Avis car. However I paid at least double of what Avis would have charged me. I believe that the hotel should not charge for services provided by third parties, since it is an obligation of the hotel to provide such contacts. When I traveled from Colombo to Galle I ended up paying for a much nicer car 80 usd when the hotel requested for an Avis regular car 170 usd.
a good location and comfotable hotel with pleasant satff no
- Staff were generally polite. - I was disappointed by the on site travel desk. Further, there was a Michael Jackson tribute concert which meant that there was a lot of noise until 11 PM on two evenings (one was a rehersal evening). I was not informed of this at the time of making the reservation.
