The building is elegant and historic, in a beautiful park-like setting. View from the room was stupendous. Personnel was extremely friendly and helpful.
We stopped here on our way to Ancona. We’d never used this hotel before and were worried that there might not be a car park. So our arrival at the hotel was a lovely surprise. A large car park, beautiful old hotel building in the middle of trees with a great view over the town. Sitting and eating areas outside plus a pool and tennis courts were provided for guests. Once inside the hotel we received a friendly greeting from the reception staff. The inside of the hotel (built in 1913) is astonishing. Wide corridors, a magnificent staircase, high ceilings and Italianate decor from the early 20th century, all spoke of the opulence of a bygone age. Our room was very comfortable and the bathroom had been sensitively modernised to preserve the overall feel of the hotel. We had dinner that evening, very tasty and well served food and Manuel, our waiter, was attentive and helpful. In the bar we enjoyed a drink served with an unexpected plate of snacks. A suggestion: one of the receptionists told me that there had once been a casino as part of the site, which was destroyed in WW2. Surely there must be old photographs of this fascinating hotel. I’m sure visitors would be interested. We’ll be back.
Nothing to dislike! As said in the review above, some photos of the hotel in its heyday would be great.
When your room is horrible the whole hotel's facilities is nothing.
Room was like sauna it was hot, air conditioner was useless and very noisy, it making noise like a digger. I wake up five times at night at least because of the hot room and noisy conditioner. I seriously thought about moving to different hotel, and I spoke to the staff but they told me I can leave without refund without offering any solution to solve the problem. It was a very horrible experience that supposed to be a vacation and relaxation.
The location, great restaurant and fine breakfast.
The ground floor is nice but in the rooms and hallways need some updates. They put us at first in very old rooms with a accessibility bathroom. After going back to reception they solved in nicely and quick.
