Pros: The breakfast was plenty, good local products.. Nice location and room. The staff really did everything with heart. Felt like coming home every time.
Cons: Nothing here
Pros: The atmosphere of the house & Martine and Pierre are fantastic hosts, friendly and helpful & breakfast is excellent & nature beautiful & Vielsalm itself is a small charming city with few very nice restaurants & a good starting to point to discover Ardennes. All in all - we warmly recommend Les Tilleuls to everyone, we hope to return again ourselves:) Katerina & Pedro
Cons: Nothing could be better & all was great ;)
Pros: The lovely hospitality. The kids room in queen's Mary room was great suprise for the kids. They realy liked their own space. Comfortable dinning room and living room with beutifal garden and view. Highly recommended!!
Pros: Great casual setting, very helpful staff,if we ever go back to Belgium, we’ll definitely consider returning there.
Pros: Alles was perfect !
Pros: Pretty much everything
Cons: One day the water pressure in the shower was very low, the other day we used it 1 hours ealier and it was perfect.
Pros: The breakfast is beyond anything you'd ever get at a hotel: all local products, fresh, plenty to choose from and more than you could ever eat. The owners are very friendly, and the house is in top shape: very modern, quiet, comfortable. The location is very nice, with restaurants nearby and plenty of nearby beautiful hikes to choose from: we didn't need the car all weekend.
Pros: Very Good Breakfast, Excellent hosts
Cons: They could also at some point offer local dinner
Pros: Once you have the chance to stay in a near to perfect place, the real differences often come with the details. First of all, each of the 5 rooms has its own atmosphere and charm. We stayed in the Katana on the 2d floor. As soon as you enter the room, relatively small but very well appointed, you see the name has nothing to do with the samuraï but with african large wooden masks. And you'll find two of them on the wall. It's the only room with an african theme but it makes sense as Marie and Pierre spend years in Africa, from Pemba off the coast of Tanzania to a farm in South Africa. The room and bathroom are more than just cosy and comfortable but what makes the difference (once again) is the use of light and the "sound system" in the ceiling, what a nice way indeed to listen to a favourite online radio station like Radio Paradise by just plugging your phone or iPad. The breakfast (with eggs on demand with a crispy bacon if you wish) is served on a long wooden table and there again, details are making the difference. The (mostly local) cheeses are coming from the bio shop of the Ferme Lamberty in Petit-Thier and the "charcuterie" (or delicatessen) are from the local market. On top of it, a Nespresso machine is offering a excellent coffee. At night, in autumn or winter, you can chill by the open fire with a local beer (the Vieille Salm) after a stop at the little sauna on the first floor. Excellent !

Pros: The whole facility was amazing. It was quite lovely to sit in the afternoon sun and drink some wine while relaxing from a long hike. Either Breakfast & Dinner were very good and delicious.
Pros: Dinner and breakfast was good, with personal service at the table and fine gastronomy.
Cons: Ikea closet with no handle bars to open, pillows and matras to soft for a good night,of sleep and the church bells that keep going during the night...
Pros: Excellent breakfast. Soft mattresses. Very nice looking and well decorated place inside and out. Kind owners. Very nice little touches like magazines in Dutch in the room (I am Dutch). Great environment.
Cons: This is a (well preserved and decorated) old building with it's charms and quirks. The one main quirk for me being that one can hear people walking through the hallways and the floor above quite clearly.
Pros: Excellent B&B. Spacious room and bathroom. Very friendly yet discrete staff. Really delicious and amazing value-for-money diners. Copious breakfast. Well situated as starting point for hiking. The local priest takes his job very seriously and rings the bells of his church 2 times per hour. So if you are a light sleeper, it is a good idea to bring some ear-plugs.
Cons: Everything was excellent.
Pros: Very nice and warm welcome from host Perfect to relax and calm area
Cons: A bit far from city/restaurants
Pros: The room was not huge but nicely furnished and comfortable. The ensuite was large with a bath and shower over it. We had dinner which was very nice and a good night's sleep. Breakfast was plenyful and very nice.
Cons: The property does not have its name outside the gate so we drove around for a while until we realised that the sign for gites was the house sign.
Pros: Excellent B&B in a historic village in the Ardennes close to Germany and Luxemburg. Surrounded by picturesque countryside and small towns, occasional local markets and excellent Belgium beer!
Pros: Great location, wonderful accommodation and great dinner and breakfast. Hosts very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended
Pros: Beautiful place, very clean, great hosts! Spent 2 nights here. Free WiFi which works all around, awesome restored building, with a great view over the hills. Place is at 500m above sea level! Pros: Very nice B&B, très sympa. Bed nice and comfy. Good breakfast with homemade jams.
Cons: Only small details that would make it even better: e.g. have shower Gel in the bathroom; rather cool evening + night for my taste and heating not working yet; have a free power socket near the nightstand.
Pros: Comfortable bed Good shower
Cons: Everything was satisfactory

Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Very good food, delicious cheese and teas, lovely presentation of all. Very cozy place and amazing landscape in the surroundings.
Pros: Bed was very comfortable, food and service 5*. Nice garden. They catered for my vegetarian and special needs so well!
Cons: The room had little decoration. All that was there was of good quality and good taste, but it felt a bit barren. Also, after breakfast the living areas are closed off and unless you sit in your room there's no place to relax.
Pros: fantastic breakfast very kind and nice staff
Cons: singular blankets in the double bed and too soft pillows (but this is something very frequent in North of Europe). The combination of the bath in the bedroom and the shower and the toilet together in the bathroom was not pragmatic.
Pros: Beautifully renovated old mansion with gorgeous bathrooms and a knockout large garden!!! All the staff were incredibly friendly and professional with a special shout out for Lourence who made our stay even more special! Fantastic breakfast and well worth staying in for the evening dinner and wine arrangement. First class!!
Pros: Very nice three course menu in the evening, breakfast also very good! Nice location in quite environment
Cons: Opportunity to purchase drinks outside restaurant hours should be better, price for drinks from the central fridge is not acceptable compared to the overal rest
Pros: Nice room and bathroom good breakfast very calm
Cons: Nobody there for check in or during the night Stuffed dead fox as a first impression?
Pros: The room was amazing. Two floors with bedroom below and Bathroom above with nice bath and separate shower. Location was nice for being in the middle of nowhere. Bed super comfy and quiet all around, so had an amazing night sleep both nights (when we managed to get in the property - see below). Staff was very nice (when they were there).
Cons: At the time of arrival there was nobody there to greet us (even though it was specified from 4 - 8pm, we arrived at 7 and all doors were locked. After figuring out for a good 15 minutes one of the doors was not locked, with our keys lying there on their own in an envelope with some message in French that neither of us understood (some greeting we assumed). Nobody from the staff speaks other language than French, so all our communication was with signs and body language. Breakfast was good and plenty, even though served a little bit early from our point of view. 9:30 was just a tad early for us, so had to wake up early just for it (we just were very tired from the day before and wanted to stay in bed a bit longer, lazy us, I know). Bedroom: - There was a clear lack of cleaning in there. You could see a good amount of dust, specially under the bed. Dead flies everywhere, first day in the room sofa, second day there was like 5-6 by the window. Didn't bother us, but can do to some people. - Towels smelled very very very bad. As if they have been used too many times and just smelled very unpleasant, a mix between old, smelly and not washed properly. We didn't have a chance to change them, as discussed above, there was nobody there from the staff to turn to when we arrived in the evening. -No privacy in the shower. I was ok being a man, but the window in the shower lacking on any curtain or sort of protection from being seen outside was a bit annoying for my girlfriend having to shower and keep an eye on always looking away from the window. ------ - We arrive after our first day out, again, all doors locked, nobody is inside, no staff visible, nowhere to get in. The only phone number you have available from either the lettering outside the hotel or booking.com was just a voicemail, after a good 20 minutes looking around and talking to neighbours, it started to rain, so we got into our car and called booking.
Pros: The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast we have ever had. The chef brought his own eggs from home from his free range chickens and they were delicious! there was fresh baked bread and local cheeses and meats. The atmosphere was great and the house is beatiful and rooms are decorated in style. Perfect for a romantic getaway.
Pros: The bed was very comfortable and the room we had was a good size. There was a large choice at breakfast including champagne.
Cons: Very poor communication. We had booked dinner for the Friday night arrival and were not told until we checked in that the chef had decided to cancel dinner that night and book us into the following night!! We had just travelled for 12 hours and that meant we were forced to drive to the nearest town to find food. If we had been told before we arrived we could have stopped en route!
Pros: The location was very nice. Quiet and peaceful (except for the 1st night when outside neighbours were noisy). The golden faucet and details in the bathroom were stunning and the shower was very nice. The highlight was the breakfast which had all types of teas, breads, spreads (cheese, meats), pies and a nice variety of things to eat. Nice coffee and very lovely breakfast sitting area which overlooks the garden.
Cons: There was no airconditioning or a fan. Luckily it got a bit colder in the evening because the hotel is in the hills. But a fan woul have been nice at least or a small refrigerator so we could have cold water with the smouldering hot weather during our stay. There were some stains on the sofas that were covered with a blanket, which seemed like a quick fix. Stains on one side of the wall could have been cleaned or painted over. There was a lamp hanging above the bed but there was no switch for it. The toilet had a loose hanging part which looked sloppy. They could have changed the towels when I left it on the bathroom floor. But instead they hung it back up. I had to email the owner to replace it the 2nd night. Which they manage to do after. There were also holes in our bed sheets. Upon arrival there was only coffee available for the in room waterboiler (no tea). And there was dust and spiderwebs hanging all over the lights and some of the corners of the room and under the beds. For a €110 per night you would expect to get at least clean towels and a proper clean room. It is in the details that a hotel as this one should aim for but lacked. If the hotel could spent some more time on cleaning the place better, providing proper towels/sheets and making sure light facilites were working, I would definitely recommend this place much more.
With a wonderful bar, with its seating area at the fireplace, this small family hotel welcomes you to the Belgian Ardennes. Benefit from free WiFi internet access and free private parking at the Aux Massotais. You can wake up with a wholesome continental breakfast and plan your hiking or cycling trips at leisure. Located next to its own camping site, this hotel provides a warm and informal atmosphere. The children can have fun in the playground. There are 2 connecting guest rooms that can be reserved together for families on request.
Cons: Beds were firm and the pillow had very little in it, however the rooms were very clean and adequate for a nights stay.
Pros: Overall clean and friendly staff.
Cons: Interior a little old.
Pros: Everything madame was really good always helpful couldn't do enough for us. Everything about the place was perfect for us food was excellent could get a drink when we want. The lounge in the bar had excellent seating definitely recommend this place
Cons: Nothing absolutely brilliant
Pros: Nice staff, living room, friendly dog.
Cons: 1. Located at the main road. 2. Room too small compared to the images on booking.com. 3. Sheets were stained. They didn't get changed during our stay.

Pros: Location to the GR 5
Cons: Restaurant not ipen
Pros: The location was fantastic. The room we had was the executive suite with a balcony. The city is not that big, but is very charming. It has a lake with plenty of fish and geese to keep you entertained. We stumbled across a WW2 memorial for 7th Armored Division, nicknamed the "Lucky Seventh". It honored Bruce Cooper Clarke a United States Army general.
Cons: All was good.
Pros: The location was good. There is a small parking in front of the main entrance but plenty of free parking in front of the church and further downhill (about 3 minutes walk). Bed was very comfortable.
Cons: The bathroom was not clean. I didn't take a shower and left before breakfast as I was not sure if the shower had been cleaned: 2 washcloths from a previous guest were still in the shower. No soap to wash the hands and the toilet didn't look very clean on check-in either. The manager made a note of this and checked the room with me and apologized. City tourist tax is added twice even for single occupancy, but this might be related to the booking.com app. The hotel is not soundproof and was very loud on a Sunday morning.
Pros: Design and location
Pros: Friendliness from the staff. Very communicative.
Cons: Double bed was 2 singles pushed together and we kept falling down the gap. Poor nights sleep :-(
