Clean, decent breakfast, very pleasant staff, great location near Hauptbahnhof, excellent neighborhood with many new buildings, fast check-in and check-out, decent size rooms but without wardrobe closet as in any other Ibis, convenient tram and S-bahn connection with other parts of town.
Expensive garage nearby, even though hotel provides some discount for its guests. Price with the discount is 25 EUR per day.
Good quality BF but not variety. The location is perfect just across the street from the train station. Many supermarkets and restaurants nearby.
The bed is a bit too small for two people.
Great location for transport, Haupt Bahnhof across the street with many shops, SPAR supermarket, ATM machines and foodhall/eateries. Carpeted rooms and hallway create a quiter environment.
A minor problem, limited toiletries, eg no shower cap
- Very close to Train Station. - The size of the room is not small like other ibis. - The room is very clean
Location couldn't be better, just right across the main train station and metro station, making it very convenient for travellers with luggages, no long walks involved. There's also a food court, shops and supermart at the station mall to grab a bite or grocery shopping.
The black hair tanned and short frontdesk female who looks like a Filipino or hispanic. No smile from her throughout our check-in or check-out process. Maintained this stern headmistress demeanour even when we tried to strike conversation, didn't feel welcome at all. Surprisingly, caught her not once but many times laughing heartily with the white male guests who were checking in. Sexism and racism at play? Her white blonde bob hair female colleague is a different story altogether, helpful, patient, friendly and courteous. What a breath of fresh air.
Thomas WACKER, the General Manager of the ibis Wien Hauptbahnhof hotel, wishes you a warm welcome. The ibis Wien Hauptbahnhof hotel proves that successful interior design can encourage communication: Welcoming furniture, stimulating colors and sophisticated rooms create a relaxed atmosphere in which guests can easily start up conversations with each other and interact with the team. No matter where you go in the modern city of Vienna, you will find it hard not to be impressed.
