The hotel is located in a lovely village/small town, with stunning mountain scenery, and is an excellent base for visiting the Vercors National Park. The hotel was very comfortable and the owner was very helpful and friendly.
Good breakfast. Quick walk to town centre. Bathroom was tiny with chemical toilet
Exellent hotel host! Never experienced such a real hospitality and interest in the guests. Also very good touristic advice - and thus it was a great region to visit! Small room, not well isotated (noise from neigbours)
Very helpful staff.
Very nice hotel and service. It is clean .le dauphin is in the centre of villard de lans and easy to go
The scenery was beautiful.NIce restruant was attached with the hotel with wonderful food.
We were made very welcome by the staff.
The room was very clean and the stuff were very nice. It's a nice small hotel, with small rooms, That have very small bath rooms, and small dinning room and the smallest Elavator I have ever seen. Nice though!!!
Very comfortable hotel with free parking. Location was good near centre of town.Mountain views at the back were nice to wake up to. Nothing
Breakfast - although no museli on final morning. 24Hr reception Not sign posted from main road/ village road.
It was charming and full of character. The rooms were spacious, with nice high ceilings, the separate bathrooms had good showers and sturdy fittings. It is old and so is not luxurious. The views are lovely and it is near everything in the small town. The dining room is big and has dim overhead lighting, so is really lacking in atmosphere and cosiness. A few lamps and candles on the tables would make a huge difference. The breakfast rooms were better. Breakfast was good for continental. Nice fresh bread and croissants even on Sunday.
Room very clean, staff very friendly Restaurant closed, no seperate shower, bit expensive for a room 96 euro, especially when there was no chance of hot food in the evening. The reception was closed in the morning when I went to pay it opened at 7:45am I left the hotel at 7:15am for a business meeting.
Very pleasant personnel, quiet, comfortable, french breakfast, sufficient parking, 100 m from centre, No balconies
The two swimming pools were very nice and breakfast was included in the price (off season offer). Very friendly atmosphere at breakfast. Staff friendliness was somewhat heterogeneous.
Position of hotel. Room and bathroom too small.
This is my second trip to that location and, as I said during my first review of the hotel, I stayed once again at The Taiga. What else is there to say?
Everything. The staff are friendly and helpful, the cooking is excellent, the location is fantastic.
The owner of the hotel made us a very nice lunch even though we arrived late in the afternoon. We stayed there for dinner too and the food was excellent. Don't miss out on their homemade pies!
Just to drive there is an experience on its own. The host is the owner and very helpfull and everything was warm and we felt at home. If you like to be treated on a personnal level this is the answer. No
nice and helpful hotel stuff, excellent location
central location no
pleasant and friendly staff, great location, and easy to park also.
Very pleasant couple running the hotel. Relaxed atmosphere. Shower was very small in the first bedroom. We had to change rooms, due to a double booking which was unfortunate, but the second bathroom was much better than the first!
Pleasant and welcoming staff. Comfortable rooms. Attractive view across the mountains from our rooms. Central location, but because we were on the garden side, our rooms were quiet. In our view, good value for money. Shower cubicles were rather small.
near tourist office and near to the gare statin and city center
The staff were welcoming and efficient. The breakfast was good in a pleasant breakfast room with views of the pretty garden. The room was rather dated and in need of redecoration.
Family run. Friendly. Good food. Quiet.
!st class staff and food, location for touring mountain roads on motorbike
Very little apart from the relief of leaving. Drab and tired decor; the hotel appears not to have been "touched" for the last 30 years. Small and poorly equipped room. No choice with demi -pension option. Evening meal uninspiring .Melancholic owner. Expensive for such a deeply disappointing stay.
