Cheap and clean. Free Wifi. Close to a restaurant that serves good lamb on a spit. Extremely incompetent service staff who can't be bothered to give proper directions to the hotel. I was drenched in rain by the time I reached there and all she did was giving me a questioning look and couldn't even spot my name among the 4 sheets of booking confirmation papers in her hand. Never again!
Nice room. Very clean and comfortable. The staff (the one who spoke English) was friendly and helpful. All rooms on top floor. Fifty stairs, no elevator. No parking. Poor location.
Heated matresses and a floor to ceiling mirror in front of the bed... Not something I used but perhaps a pull for other types of clientel? Website said 15 minutes from airport, website was wrong. Took at least 30 minutes and cost 40 euros. Found out later that the x96 bus stops right outside, which takes even longer but is much cheaper. There is also nothing within walking distance of the hotel -it is on a busy road full of pet stores and gas stations. I would not recommend this hotel for any visitors to Athens. It takes just as much time to take an express bus into the heart of Athens and you can get cheaper hostels. Hotel Les Amis is just an over priced and poorly located hostel and it appears to be more targeted to a rent by the hour type of clientel.
Friendly staff Rather remote
Very near Barkiza 1) The room smelled. 2) Not elevetor 3) needs complete renovation 4) Difficult to find 5) The worst hotel I have ever been 6)The morning receptionist couldn't understand that we must have the privacy of our credit card number 7) Credit card machine was old and operated manually
Clean, quiet, good value for money Rooms rented by the hour! No lifts for heavy luggage
Friendly staff; arranged for out early A.M. taxi pick-up. Clean, quiet. I found this hotel on the internet and understood it to be close to the airport. I do not consider 30 minutes "close." Directions to take the metro were not adequate, and we ended up going to the airport, figuring "close" wouldn't cost us 20 euros. It would be helpful to alert guests that there is a surcharge to catch a taxi at the airport. We would have been much better off to get off at an earlier metro stop and take the taxi from that point. We arrived about 11:00, after many hours of travel and stresed out about the high taxi fare. We left at 3:30 A.M. I forgot that the desk clerk had not returned my passport on the spot, and the morning clerk didn't remember to give it to me. The result was that I realized the fact about 20 minutes to the airport, had to turn around, and the taxi driver charges us 50 Euros for the trip. As we were given to understand, we shouldn't have been charged the airport 3.50 surcharge when the trip didn't originate at the airport. So our taxi fares equalled the hotel rate. I felt the desk staff was negligent in failing to hand me my passport when I checked out, and it cost me dearly. Very basic room: one towel per person, no shampoo, no shower curtain.
Friendly helpful staff, clean comfortable room, lovely balcony. Difficult to find, in spite of directions. (Or maybe I'm a bit thick.)
New LCD tv and balcony, airport location.. No lift..and it was 3 flights of stairs...no shower curtain..but Europe is like that...bed plenty firm...
Perfect airport hotel, little bit better than anticipated for the price.
Location Bit outdated but can't stay any closer than this
Walk across driveway and you are in the airport best bed I have ever slept on. No noise from the airport. Didn't like the food at their cafe. Asked for pizza with little cheese, and received undercooked pie swimming in cheese. Bathroom was nice, but showerhead was completely broken. Room was very tiny.
We could walk to the hotel from the airport. Rooms were large, clean and very nice.
This is the only hotel at the Athens Airport which is convenient for a one night stay. Luckily it is a very nice hotel and literally at the airport. It is also conveniently located on the train line to the city, Acropolis and other important sites which gives the one day layover traveler ease to the airport and all the main attractions. Enjoy
Great location and proximity to airport. Very convenient for early/late airport departures/arrivals. Nice lobby and restaurants. Rooms are Comfortable and clean, but a little dated and smelled of stale smoke.
The location is the primary reason we stay here. The center of Athens is nearly an hour away so being able to just walk across the street to the airport is priceless, especially for flights leaving at odd hours. Secondly, it is ever so comfortable and quiet. I can't think of anything we did not like. Obviously, it would be great if it cost less but "you get what you pay for".
Location, Friendly and helpful staff. Valet person was very held up I tumult to check u funds olVe for dinner and return rental car . Kudos to staff. Rooms need electronic upgrade, more receptacles, more light and Lise the cord to the remote control.
Great location to and from the airport. Very comfortable clean rooms, friendly staff and restaurants had a descent variety of good food.
The location to the airport is fantastic, only the Grand Hyatt in DFW has a closer hotel to the ticket counter. Excellent, responsive staff.
Beds very comfortable and soundproofing excellent. Awesome location across street from airport terminal Carpet in hallways very old. Bathrooms not a practical design
Cannot be closer to the airport than that. - The shower was leaking. The noise of the water falling on the floor woke me up all night. - The T.V. stopped working at midnight (?!) - There were hairs in the bath that were not mine. - They charged me 7 euros at the bar for a small bottle of water. I know it's supposed to be a luxury hotel, but come on.
I had to cancel travel plans for fear of safety in travel through Istanbul. The hotel refused to issue a refund.
The staff was very nice and it was very easy to get to and from the airport. Room drab was. There was hair in the bed and one of the beds was broken. It was also really loud since it was next to a major street and it sounded like the window was open all night though it was tightly closed.
Excellent staff who were particularly helpful with providing us with transport information, the location of the hotel (minutes from fantastic beaches and incredible restaurants) and the price.
For the cheap price it's a great hotel. Clean rooms, friendly staff and functional equipment. Ac was a little loud.
As a single male and traveler, it met my needs, as I simply needed a cheap place to stay. Very worn/tired, but it was great value for what I paid.
Entertaining dated pictures on wall. Common toilet/shower which was not very nice. Very old hotel, pretty much just a bed to sleep in.
the friendlyness of the hotel staff
As a single male traveler, met my needs for price I paid. Tired/dated/worn decor, shared bathroom, but worth it if you only need a room to keep your stuff in while out and about exploring/sightseeing for the day, and to sleep in at night, vs. spending time in the room lounging. Spotty internet connection at times, but other available wifi networks. If TV, phone charger and AC on, be prepared for electricity to go down.
Very convenient for a night's stay
Very handy for direct express bus to airport and for tram and bus services to downtown Athens. No meal facilities at hotel but decent cafe adjacent in same building block. My room had a nice balcony with chairs, table and a sea view. I really can't think of any. The manager and staff were very kind and helpful.
hotel staff no
It is in the centre of Voula, surrounded by restaurants, bars, kiosks and other services you need to your pleasant stay. The bus stop is absolutely in front of the hotel and the bus takes you directly to the city centre. It is a little far from the the centre, around 40 minutes by bus and it is located near the main road where the traffic is very strong and noisy also at night.
we found this hotel rather run-down, with poor comfort in the rooms, therefore not good value for money (60Euros a night for uncomfortable bed, plus paying for breakfast in next-door takeaway cafeteria) this hotel is in a very noisy neighborhood. Suitable only for young persons and late-nighters not staying long.
nice view of the sea. unconfortable mattresses
Reception was very very helpful. Michalis, I believe was the gentleman's name, and the rest of the staff as well. Great location, clean, nice breakfast, we had a wonderful room, and we had great fun at the pool. Lunch at the Pool was also quite nice, good food, good service.!
Location was convenient Improve AC, Facilitate the light control
Perfect sea view, friendly staff, very quietly area, free wi-fi No negatives
I liked the view the pool area should remain open after 7 o'clock specially at summer months
very nice rooms, also very nice pool
very nice location with wonderful view no service after 23:00
Good service, pleasant staff, nice swimming pool on 2nd floor Compared to other "5-star" hotels, the quality of accomodation was poorer and the location of the hotel made it difficult to find.
Decor well designed but a little worn.Needs better housekeeping and management.
The room was big and comfortable, the view was wonderful, the area was quiet, the room service breakfast was fine. I enjoyed my stay there and I should go again. The bathroom and generally the furniture was not very well maintenance probably some things like the sink the shower need replacement. The hotel is not very well organized regarding the cleaning. Better to give importance in the cleaning because is a pity and loose points from this.
Easy to locate. Clean, modern facilities. Room was very comfortable and restful. Three issues: 1. I sent an e-mail asking questions and it was never answered. 2. The web said that there was suttle transportation to and from the hotel....It was hard to find and did not run early enough for us toe use in the morning resulting in a significant and unexpected cost. 3. I think 12 km is quite a bit farther from the airport than I expected. I would recommend the hotel but would make sure that the person knew the facts....not close and no reliable suttle service.
The rooms were big and clean. Did not offer value for money, the shuttle did not operate at all hours and breakfast was not included. The hotel was overpriced.Complementary services such as massage were not free and should have been for the price that was paid. The hotel is a 4 star hotel, not a 5 star hotel as was claimed.
Excellent accomodation, convenient to airport, excellent breakfast included in breakfast package. limited access to only 2 internet linked computers
Brand new facility designed for business travellers with nice rooms and amenities. The location of the hotel is 10 km from the airport. Their shuttle does not run 1100-1500, but that is not noted in the hotel information. A cab will cost you 15 euro, or you can take the X95 public bus if you know what you're doing. The hotel staff is rude, only caters to business clientele. The AC does not go below 22C, making the room hot and humid even though it was only in the 60sF outside. The extra bed is not a bed, but a cot--we had better beds in much smaller European hotels. It's 15 minutes on the shuttle to get here--stay in another Greek hotel and spend 15 more minutes on the shuttle to get to the airport--you can have a better stay for less money.
The Holiday Inn is a nice hotel close to the airport which is why we chose it since we were just passing through on our way home. The rooms are clean, well appointed and nice for a business hotel. They have a shuttle that picks you up and takes you to the airport which most hotels do not have. The resturant was over priced and the menu looked not appealing. There are no other resturants around the hotel making you either have to go to the airport for a meal or downtown which could be expensive if you take taxi
5 star hotel don't provide their transit guests shower or earlier check in.
The location is very convenient: only 10 minutes from the airport, without the excessive cost of the other hotel (the one which is right at the airport) Quick check in and out Courteous personnel, decent restaurant Room furniture is new, good looking and functional Shuttle to/from airport included (but not at night!) I ended up in a room for smokers because apparently there were no non -smoking rooms left. At night, the smell in the air was unpleasant. Do hotels still need to have rooms for smokers? The shuttle service to the airport does *not* cover the early -morning flights. Taxi is 30€
Modern, staff was friendly, great shuttle service to the airport. We had an early flight, they had coffee and cakes waiting at 3:30 in the morning prior to our departure. Coffee and fridge not stocked. Shower didn't work at first. And we had single beds - was told no Kings were available - completely bummed.
large room, close to airport Food too expensive, bring a bottle of wine and some cheeses and have a picnic. Also, the Ecko petrol stration has some good sandwiches and beer/wine
Clean, comfortable room The bar and restaurant were extremely over priced for the quality of food and service.
Please write at least 15 words I stayed in a room with a connection door between the two rooms, so I could hear every word of my neighbours.
Very nice hotel with good sized rooms. Staff was very accommodating with booking a cab for us at 500AM for our early flight at 625. We ordered room service and the food was delicious! The airport shuttle only starts after 530am so we will had to pay for a 28 Euro taxi. This was not advertised anywhere. But still for overall cost, value and convenience it is worth staying here!
Good breakfast. The breakfast area was also modern and very tastefully decorated. The rooms were a bit cold, and the thermostat on the wall didn't seem to make any difference to the temperatute. Quilts on the beds instead of what seemed like rather old blankets would have added a bit more luxury.
it was in a convenience location as far as the airport is concerned the exagerate telephone charge
Excellent location in the center of a modern cosmopolitan suberb Bed linen was not changed regularly, poor breakfast buffet, noisy visitors were allowed in guest rooms until late night/early morning
Lobby, Location, and rooms that other friends stayed in where great! room was suppose to be a family room, it had two dbl beds in 2/rooms in an L shape. the TV was in the back room w/fridge & balcony access( one chair & small table thats all that would fit) one closet no place to put luggage. The front room had glass blocks that you could see through to the elevator lobby, the room was never dark because of the lobby lights & talking elevator. Pool closed early
Hotel is waide and spacious to stay and every facilities are very convenient to use. As it faces to the beach, it is confertable to stay and relax in the town. It was tough to comunicate to reception by the phone to ask the location. It was something lack of kindness. Parking lot is limited and it is not easy to find the place near by.
Nice location with a lot of shops and cafe's nearby. Close to beach. Good and cheap transportation with tram to Athen (45 min). Free WIFI. The swimming pool is placed on the north side of the hotel with only few hours sun (in the morning and in the afternoon), i.e. there was only sparce time for using the sunbeds.
Location, hotel half empty, price was OK (because off season), big bed. Old hotel, in serious need of refurbishing and structural upgrading, no acoustic isolation in walls, ceiling, and windows, could hear bathroom noise from room above and next to mine, loud traffic noise from street until late at night, though room was on back side (cannot imagine noise in rooms on street side), noisy fridge with humming motor (had to unplug it to be able to sleep), large bed taking up most of the walking area in room. Breakfast was relatively poor.
Location great, hotel OK: clean, frendly staff
Nice hotel, friendly employees The magnetic stripes cards (door lockers) were a nightmare
Staff helpful with information and ensuring any requests where action promptly.
If you got some pool water in your mounth during swiming you could recognize that it tasted much more chemicals than in most pools.
the wonderfull atitude of the reception the hotel has no "sea view" rooms.
The facilities, location & staff are excellent. I just used public transport and it was world class! The traffic noise from my balcony was distracting during peak hour.
The hotel was Nice, friendly staff and the location was good, close to the beach, public transport and restaurants (10 mins walk) -
easy access to the hotel the room was extremely dated, the bathroom had some stuff on the floor, and did not look properly cleaned, it did not seem worth the money at all.
The bar and pool area - great for a late night drink in the open air We would have liked to have the option of having toast and prepared fresh fruit at breakfast
Convience to Trams into Athens and pool Noise from main road
very professional and responsive staff on the reception desk. if you are planning to combine the sightseing tour and seaside leasure, it is a good location. bus and tram stops are just in 2 minutes from the hotel. good breakfast. very clean. the hotel looks like 3stars hotel. noisy
I like the hotel and the hotel staff.I want to stay in Palmyra my next trip to Athens
The staff. Helpful and friendly. The rooms had a strong smell of cigarette smoke although we had requested for a no smoking room.
The Location, was very good. The bathroom was a little small and the noise from the main road, but that was not worth the central local.
people so friendly , lovely breakfast, next to the beach ,tram, & bus stop.we had a great time.
Great people running the place, really helpful, close to town, transport just outside the door. No internet. Everyday someone was asking the manager about the internet but I didn't get a connection the whole week, I just logged on to next door's unsecured wireless, sometimes even just 11 mbs, at most 55 mbs. This was unacceptable. My recommendation, don't believe Booking.com when they say internet is available. Go next door if you need wireless, or even any sort of connection. In 2010, this was stone-age. My advice to the managers is just charge an extra 10E per night and get a decent modem or change ISP.
OK hotel for extremely low price, we didnt expect too much so we are satisfied with it...good neighborhood, next to the hospital and church in Vouliagmeni, and next to best gyros in Athens...its not that noisy like we read it... We had a problem on last day...we need a shower in the morning before check out, but there were no hot water!!! We call the receptionist, she said: in 10 minutes, after that again: in 10 more minutes, but hot water never came, so we travel 1200km after that in that condition...that ruined our opinion about this hotel!!! Also, pretty far away from center of Athens, but we need that neighborhood because of some friends...
helpful staff, clean room location a bit inconvenient
Besides the staff, nothing else!!!! The worst thing was the noise - the hotel is placed on a main street extremely nosy. In fact this was the reason that we left after 3 nights in stead of 9 booked Basically is just a transit hotel; is not for family or holiday
Great seaside location
The hotel is located near airport bus stop, only 100 meters. A tram station is also close to the hotel. The hotel is small but confortable. I have a good feeling of hospitality. equipments in a room are rather old but no problem
erxcellent and professional staff. very good continetal breakfast. Great transport links to Atens city.
the staff were wonderful and I was very happy staying there
Nothing really. On a noisy street, near a disco so didn't sleep all night. Room was very hot, airconditioner good, but directly on your body when sleeping.
Staff was very friendly and helpful during the six day stay. The continental breakfast offered was very good also. No
The sheets, towels. Their was not enough beds at the pool side, as we were on the 2nd floor we could here the guest on the groungd floor singing that kept us awake.
Very friendly and helpful staff, great athmosphere at the pool, especially in the evening, proximity of the sea internet browser did not work well on one of the stations (i could not enter my email account, the browser would crash), on the other, the printer cartridge was empty for black... i could not print my boarding card
Excellent service from all receptionists
very good public and bar areas-breakfast excellent-staff very helpful and attentive very poor quality of superior rooms poor value for money The bathrooms in this room are very poor quality, air conditioning made the room smell damp. Dirty carpets in room and hallway. No view of sea or pool without neck strain.Pool not heated and not in sun after 4pm, busy road
Medium size and location, décor. Rather noisy until very late at night with loud music from pool area and partying.
nice pool area the bathroom needs some renovation
pool area is lovely rooms are clean with good shower in bathroom nice big balcony breakfast very good with plenty of tables and relaxed atmosphere stayed here on our last night after athens and syros trip before flying home to uk
They just can't do enough for you - the atmosphere is incredibly relaxing. It'd be good to have a kettle and cups in the room. The bathroom lighting makes it very difficult to do makeup or shave - a tilting and moveable shaving mirror would be ideal!
The Margi is a lovely boutique hotel with a nice ambiance. The communal areas are tastefully decorated with plenty of "mood" lighting during the evening. The pool area is lovely and although the pool is small there are usually only a handful of guests so there is no overcrowding. Drinks around the pool are expensive. The rooms are comfortable if a little on the small side but nicely furnished. The service was fabulous and I would definitely stay there again. The drinks around the pool area were a little overpriced. Beds were a little short.
Very trendy atmospheric hotel. Exceptional staff and service. Bedroom of a very high standard. Breakfast buffet extensive and excellent. Limited spaces for sunbathing around the pool.
it's an ok hotel for someone who wants to spend a week in a packed resort The reason we picked the hote was the location ("15 min from the airport") but in fact is far away from athens airport, from town taxis didn't want to take us there and the cost of the taxi was outarageous. Generally speaking not a place to stay for a single night on your way out of athens.
This hotel turned out to be a Club Med, and once I understood that it was easier to deal with the staff. Generally the staff spoke French well; some spoke English fairly well. The location is not bad if you need to get to Athens airport quickly. It can be noisy as people are largely there to vacation. No online access in the rooms, but email access was available in the lobby. The place is a resort and tends to book large groups, so be aware of that if planning to eat in the restaurant. All meals are self-serve unless you order a sandwich at the bar.
The location (near to airport), the looks of the hotel, the sea shore, the staff, the food (especially the Italian Dinner), the beautiful view from our room Althogh high temperatures, the hotel did not operate the air condition! Their poor explanation was that some people like heating and some like cooling, so they didn`t turn on the air condition at the hotel at all! Never heard such a pretext. Unfortunatly, it was very hot in the room, so we had to open wide the balcony doors, but it was very noisy outside at the swimming pool until 2-3 a.m., and there were also bothering mosquitos. At short, we could not sleep that night! We think that for that sum of money we paid, we were entitled to get some air condition ( a thing we got in much more cheaper hotels).
Worst stay in a hotel for some time, Overpriced, arrogant reception, mediocrity rules throughout, Worth of 2 stars not 4 and certainly not good value, Go somewhere else is my summary Maintainence of hotel, Charge for use of indoor pool area, Tired bathrooms, Package holiday feel but high prices charged
Fabulous pool and facilities. The internet was only available at 4 Euros per hour - absolutely ridiculous. Internet access in 2010 is like water - its expected - and very few places charge for internet anymore and the cost at this hotel was very excessive. Bar drinks were also over priced. The food is OK but not great.
Clean. Nice staff This hotel IS NOT an "airport" hotel as I had thought. It was almost 30 minutes from the airport and it cost me $60 US by cab to get back to the airport. Also not really enough food facility available and in a rather isolated area where I had to walk 25 minutes at night to find a place to eat
Nothing Staff attitude, misleading information, terrible meals,
View was beautiful and easy access to their beach and pools Too far from city center (~1 hour) and there are no shuttles that would bring you there. You had to order a taxi each time.
Beautiful views and excellent food. Both the breakfast buffet and the dinner buffet offered a wide choice of dishes.
It is close to the airport is why we booked it, great sea view, in the height of summer it would be lovely. we did not like being told that it was winter and that at the resturant they had two choices for dinner, beef and chicken. we are vegetarians and had very limited food choice if any.
The view from the room Arrived at 7 pm. No evening meal, I was offered a club sandwich which was covered in stale crisps and was itself inedible. Breakfast the nest morning was scheduled for 8:30 but did not materalise. I attempted a walk by the beach but was persued by a pack of stray dogs. It was all a bit run down and seedy. I had wanted to use the hotel as an slightly out of town cheaper alternative to airrport accommodation but the taxi fares there and back made this a waste if time
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Rooms very clean. Nice modern ambience. On the tram line heading into Athens. Also -- I left some clothes behind, and when I called, they had already put them aside for me to pick up on our way back thru Athens.
Great option to stay in Athens. Close to the sea and easy access to downtown by tram.
Location of the hotel is ideal. There is a local tram outside and its easy to get to Glyfada or the centre of Athens. A friendly hotel that is clean and comfortable. Also near the beach. rooms near the stairs attract a bit of noise from outside. Your can hear people moving around quite a bit.
The staff were very helpful and friendly The beds are rock solid and the air conditioning temperature can not be controlled from the room.
General maintenance could be improved in rooms eg wall bedlights falling off wall.no hook in bathroom for hand held shower rose. no tissues for blowing nose . need individual controls for air conditioning. need wider single beds and better pillows they were too hard. options to have queen or double beds.
Standard of hotel Price of services
Rather large and well equiped room with king size bed, very kind and helpful employees, good transportation to Athens center and Pireas. Small bathroom without jacuzzi as in hotel description. Executive room but no roof terrace as described in hotel leaflet. No possibility to sit by the swimming pool. Average breakfast(1 day fresh bread and croissant, but not the 2nd day). Hpwever, we enjoyed our room and our stay there, and we recommand this hotel.
Close to the city center but on sea front, confortable and clean. Noisy because of the large avenue at the doors of the hotel.
The seaside en de marina en the city of Athens Near a freeway. We had two very small beds, the minibar was locked.
The view was excellent. The girl in the reception polite and friendly. It is a calm and friendly hotel in general with no strange extra charges. I didnt like the coffee at breakfast. The breakfast room and bar as well are not nice as design but the sea view from there is really beautiful.
Very nice location: on the beach and near Athens. The bathroom was badly ventilated, perhaps because it was the last floor.
We received a free upgrade. The location is beautiful and the staff at the pool restaurant were very nice. The spa looked good as well but we did not use it. Spa prices were exorbitant. The price would have been adequate for the room we received an upgrade for but far too high for the room we booked. Breakfast buffet of rather poor quality. The beach is very small and not very appealing.
Perfect hotel for its kind, very friendly stuff, excellent and unending breakfast (4 tables full), excellent service. It would probably be an excellent choice during summer too. Not very sound - proof, noisy in the morning outside the rooms
Salt-water pool was fantastic. Location is remote and quiet, Mythos restaurant food was excellent. Poolside drinks were overpriced, and hotel was overpriced for what you you got. I paid 244e for a room that was not even close to being worth that.
comfort rooms and professional staff no
Nothing the new hotel was more like a business hotel and not appropriate for a holiday
We liked the Divani Resort very much from the start : Very polite staff and helpfull .all our prvious reqest almost met. We are planing to come again soon. Street noise .The bedding mattress are too soft and deflect and not able to support the back.
location a bit over priced
I actually did not like much about this hotel. The spa is not included in the price. On the other hand there is an indoor swimming pool which is pretty ugly. We ordered food in the room and we paid 120 euros for two pita souvlaki (typical greek food) and a bottle of wine. I am greek, but I never had such awful food anywhere, and especially not in a five star hotel. My boyfriend who has been in greece lots of times was also very negatively impressed.
the location is excellent, as are the facilities and the staff without exception are really well trained & attentive. We had a poolsde luncheon & dinner in the hotel, which were 1st class. Although the suites were only open for circa 2 weeks and we had some minor issues, the staff's resolution of these issues & overall friendliness more than compensated for these minor problems. It does not have its own beach area/ beach bar. The suites are excellent but a small distance from the main hotel, so that one is faced with taking the necessary beach ware to the main hotel pool area. This hotel hosts many business meetings & when we arrived on a Sunday had difficulty getting poolside loungers, as the hotel would apprear to be used by locals at the weekend.
The hotel room was very comfortable and the staff was very kind. Excellent breakfast and great location.
The staff were extremely helpful which made my stay a pleasant one. no.
Cleanliness was excellent, the staff was great and very helpful. The very small elevator.
2Nd time back. Nice Hotel for the Money (relative to Greek prices). Refurbished rooms are better. Good location and will probably return next year. Pleased it wasn't height of summer as the aircon didn't work very well. Gentleman behind reception wouldn't allow me to use the hotel phone to make a brief call to our taxi driver as it was to a mobile phone. There were non residents using the pool.
Locations beside the beach. Tramway line just beside the open. District around (1 or 2 stop away by tram - 10 minutes walking) is very nice for shopping and restaurant. Sea View Hotel doesnt have sea view...The ac wasnt enough powerful, and it was very warm in the room, the streets are too noisy to keep the window open. We didnt sleep good. The room furnitures and carpet were old.
The friendliness of the staff and their helpfullness and also the excellent continental breakfast . The glasses and the towels were not changed every day.
Friendly and very helpful staff, convenient location (especially for trams along coast and into central Athens, the airport bus stop Asteria, short walk to Glyfada and seafront), comfortable stay out of earshot of the six-lane Poseidonos highway! Good food in the restaurant too. Walking distance from the wedding reception we were attending too so couldn't have chosen better. No
The two nice men at the reception. They were very helpful. Poor breakfast
Attitude of the staff, location and rate The room lacked enough comfort, as the light enters early morning as no blackout was installed
pleasant staff easy access to public transport
fabulous location by the beach no laundry service at hotel
The roof garden was very good (the bar and the pool), the location was perfect, the staff were very helpful
Excellent staff and all arrangements went perfectly Room was a bit small but suitable for the short stay (1 night) we had
Nothing was especially good. This was sold as a 4 star and clearly is not. The Hotel is 5 yards from a three lane dual carriageway and is incredibly noisy. The decor is dour. The staff were ok but nothing can make up for the poor location.Avoid this Hotel.
Relaxed informal ambience. Fitted Carpet in Bedroom - Marble would be better
Upstairs bar Price and quality of beds was appalling
The friendly and welcoming staff; this is the third time I have stayed here and I would highly recommend it.
The staff the price
very friendly staff, very nice and professional. also, very nice amenities to include airport shuttle, pool, internet/business center, free breakfast, and lodge area. I thought the hotel was kind of old. old AC units, old elevators.
fhe position of the hotel is very helpfull
Staff very fiendly, and accommodating
staff very friendly and helpful. Location good as right next to the beach. The rooms are quite old and the airconditioning unit(very neccesary in 42degree heat) rattled and made a noise like a small motorbike. It was held together with parcel tape!!!! There was no hairdryer in the room. The breakfast included was very poor and the evening meal looked so bad we went elsewhere!! In the bar despite having a coffee machine we were served instant coffee and charged 3 euros a cup!!!
Our room was clean and the size was Okay - also the bath-room. Recognized noise level from the street as acceptable for the paid price. If you want more, you need to pay more. Booked including breakfast, which was a big buffet with good average of choice. Number of tables was actually enough - despite of other opinions here. Could access wlan in our room in the first floor - for free. Internet-terminals in the main hall are not free of charge. Tram station is close by and easy to access with 3 possible directions for just 60 cents per adult. Bus stop is nearly in front of hotel - but on opposite side of the 4 lanes wide street. We nearly missed it on arrival because there are no big letters "palace hotel" showing into direction of the street / main entrance. Swimming pool was a nice thing to have, but the beach is also quite close. Used wake-up service as well as taxi-order to the port - all worked very well. Decided to use a taxi to the port since we experienced that the bus didn't stop every time when some person was waiting for it at the bus stop - and if you need to get your ferry or flight... Prices in the hotel-bar are surprisingly high. But if you don't have use of a bar...
The evening receptionist was very helpful with local area information.
convenient location, good breakfast, quiet guests (although students!), modern, clean bathroom room in need of decoration, furniture rather old, bed hard
Nice place. Very good rooms
Out side facilities, pool garden etc., cleanliness of the hotel. Value for money This was my second and last visit to the Oasis. Although the hotel is comfortable the "ineffective" air conditioning is not. On both visits the reported fault was not rectified. I can only assume that the air conditioning through out the hotel needs replacing.
Easy access to town. Accommodating staff.
ask me what i did't liked there.outside the fence is painted and inside is the tiger.a lot of lies on site about that hotel i just explained previous .
Close to Glyfada Shopping and Beach.............Good pool.......that's it..... Everything.....How they rate it as a 4 star I don't know and can't see how it was renovated 4 years ago.....the rooms haven't been touched since 30 years ago... On bookings.com said it was a 2 bedroom apartment, when we got there it was a 1 bedroom apartment, 2 rooms being the Living room and the Bedroom being the other...
Large room, nice pool and outdoor bar The website offered a shuttle service to the airport, which was a main reason for staying there. However, no service was available.
I like the apartment style accommodation and the fact that the balconies are private. The pool area is small but it has lovely gardens. It is near the beach in Glyfada and within walking distance of the main town with trams and buses to take if you want Although my husband and I were actually on holiday before moving to a business conference in Athens, it is clear that this hotel simply does not cater for hotel guests duting the weekend.
Hotel reception staff very helpful and service good. Hotel location very close to highway with continuous traffic noise. Nice beach across the road but you have to cross two very busy roads to get to it and it has a rocky surface for swimming. Bus stop outside hotel takes you into Athens or Piraeus which takes about 40mins for 1euro bus No b3 for Athens and a1 for Piraeus and you get your bus ticket in Glyfada. Overall, we enjoyed our week in the Oasis Hotel.
The room was big and clean My room was very noisy - street traffic.
The staff at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. They all spoke good English.
Air Condition was very bad and not functioning ! Too warm during day and night at room.
The help^fullness of the front desk was excellent and precise. No, we liked everything.
very clean rooms. seems like they just recently got an upgrade as well. comforting after a 20 hour trip. very friendly and helpful staff. amazing ocean view! great price for the location as well. will be back
very clean- good service, staff is v kind, free wi-fi, excellent location there was no air conditioning in my room and this is strange for a 4 star hotel
The hotel is fine. The breakfast is very good, the rooms are nice, each room has a balcony, very close to a small beach (not very clean though). The pool is very cold, which is a fine thing in the middle of summer (though probably not in spring or fall). The people at the reception are very helpful. It is quite expensive, however. At the time we were staying at the hotel the hotel was definitely not fully booked (we even had the pool to ourselves most of the time). The area is dead, so bring your car. There are 3 overpriced restaurants around, more to be found is at least 5km away.
Easy access Not comfortable bed, Poor breakfast
The staff was friendly and the breakfast buffet was great! We were able to easily take the bus from the airport, we called and were given easy to follow directions to get to the hotel, a Ten minute walk from the bus stop.
The hotel was very relaxed and pretty easy access to Athens. There was only 3 resturants within walking distance so without a car not much to see or do but we used it to see Athens.
The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and it was in a good location. Maybe a little bit more variety in the breakfast buffet
Nice and clean renovated rooms. Just 100m from the beach. A little poor breakfast
Cleanness, Staff, breakfast, distance from the beach The double bed was 2 single beds not fixed together. No events, entertainment etc.
