A/C worked flawlessly while it was 116 outside Didn't have USB charging station at any outlet
We liked the restaurants, the pool, the grounds, the bar area, the staff. Very nice resort. Didn't like the fact that some of our team mates were granted $89/ night by the hotel( 3-4 nights) and because we booked thru booking.com in advance our 7 nights were at approx 160/night.
Rooms were spacious and clean. Resort overall was all you could ask. Awesome pools with waterslide. Three golf courses, with amazing rates for guests. great activity area with bochee ball/table tennis/corn hole, tennis courts. Day spa was well apportioned though I did not make it there. The buffet brunch near the golf shop is a must and a GREAT value (red's grill..I think), all of the restaurants ave dining had great food. The entire resort is in a residential area which is strange but nice that it wasn't a busy area. Great stay, highly recommended. Nothing negative comes to mind. Great place to stay with couple or family.
There was a nice lounge on property! Very nice staff but slow service! It was a busy wknd! The valet staff were amazingly helpful in checking us in during a rare AZ rainstorm! Great historical features to this place! The bathroom wasn't clean enough for me! This place asks for too much money not to have a spotless bathroom! Brown splatter over the lower half of bathroom door and a shower head with calcification from 1970s! I was able to receive a great rate for my time there so I went with it. But if i had paid the listed price, I would be irate! I hope my experience was a one off wknd!
Great hotel at an excellent location near shops, restaurants and the Jobing.com arena. The pool was very nice and food by the pool was excellent! We stayed there to attend the Coyotes Vs. Minnesota Wild hockey game. The Wild hockey players stayed at the hotel and my son was thrilled to meet and take photos after the game at the hotel. nothing - everything was great!
Fast check-in on a game day! Business center / store was not open at 4am.
Everything but my one issue Both days the hotel cleaning staff DID NOT leave us coffee cups for the following morning. If you take used cups - PLEASE LEAVE CLEAN CUPS. Otherwise, no problems.
I was visiting a friend of mine in the area .It was clean and got an excellent price!
My bed was one of the most comfortable motel beds I've slept on in over 20 years of being a business road warrior. This is an older facility, but well maintained. I would definitely recommend staying here.
My sister and I stayed for a week. The room was very comfortable and the entire facility was very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Ian made us feel as though we were coming home in the evening and was so welcoming. The breakfast was always good with a nice variety. The iced lemon water was so refreshing on hot days and was always available. There is a nice restaurant across the street where we had lunch-- good food and convenient! We will definitely stay here again!
Clean room & linens. Comfortable bed. Enjoyed having the suite layout. 2 sinks a major plus. Would go with 4 1/2 stars, but not available in this format. Staff was excellent. Will definitely use on next visit. Free breakfast was so so. Coffee machine was down, and consequently limited some of the food options that require hot water such as oatmeal or tea. Eating area was cleaner than many we've experienced.
I liked the service, it was outstanding! I had to leave, I would have liked to stay a couple more days.
Loved the roominess of the suite. King mattress was excellent. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was ok. Standard scrambled eggs with sausage patties and make-your-own waffles. Kind of what you would expect.
We have been staying here for years to visit family, usually is good but not this time. Air conditioner vent started dripping and went all night- we had to put a bucket and listen to it drip. Locks were broken at pool and back entry doors. Carpet was in pretty bad shape
The room was large with a separate living room from the bedroom and with 2 bathroom sinks and a kitchen small sink. Microwave and refrigerator. There was a TV in the living room and a TV in the bedroom area. Nice looking modern furniture. Nice window over looking a small man-made lake with some ducks and swimming pool. Comfortable bed... but need some new pillows. Barstools with eating counter in kitchen area. Good vending machines on all floors and ice makers on all floors. No bad smells in hallways. Decent FREE parking. Would probably stay here again if the price was right. The bathtub was very dirty from years of use with some black mold around the caulking. I ran to the store and purchased some Ajax cleaner and a scrubber and scrubbed the tub out... but it is so old that it really can't get through the layers of wear and buildup. Just needs to be replaced. The carpet is super old with some rippling from age. It just needs to be replaced. The kitchen sink smelled rotten and water went down way too slow... so those need to have a roto-rooter put through them. Breakfast needs some cranberry juice or something added. Maybe a hot chocolate machine added. It is just basic coffee, OJ, apple juice. Needs better pastry and bagel selection. The only good thing was the waffle maker. The yogurt needs to be updated.
Staff was very helpful. The room was spacious and clean. Needs updating. Carpeting and fresh paint would be great.
The rooms were very clean, spacious and comfortable. The added extras like the drink on arrival and the 'help yourself food' in the kitchen was awesome! Nothing!
Comfy beds. Nice grounds. In the middle of Glendale and near Thunderbird hospital. Like the campus atmosphere! Five bucks to park. Very hard to find a parking spot near the front.
Location, beautiful room for the cost, nice bathroom and shower. Private entry, very pleasant outdoor areas. Parking is a little inconvenient, and no visitor parking meant visitor had to park across the street at the strip mall.
Can't say enough good things about this hotel. Staff, housekeeping, amenities, ambiance all wonderful. We were extremely comfortable and well taken care of during our stay.
The thing that impressed me the most was that they had a refrigerator in the common area stocked with name brand pop, bottled water, ice tea, milk, juice, etc... available for free 24 hours a day. There were also name brand snack items - chips, granola bars, breakfast bars, etc... The beds were extremely comfortable, as were the pillows. The bathroom had a medicine cabinet for storing stuff, as well as a vanity under the sink. Towels were big and fluffy. The parking was limited. There was plenty of parking, but it was laid out in an odd fashion, that might require a bit of walking if you didn't get one of the close in spots. The shower was a corner unit that might be tight if you a larger person.
Service was good and the rate was fair. The shower had mold and I wore my flip flops to shower.
Clean room. Rooms were very small. Breakfast was poor..
Room appeared clean, although it was small, old and small details like scuff marks and older paint made it seem run down. Shower only in small bathroom, entrance to tiny rooms is more like a motel, pool is not heated and you had to go pick up and drop off the key and towels at the desk when you wanted to use it. It reminded me more of a YMCA that an Executive Center. I was expecting a hotel.
The room was reasonably comfortable, although the heat/cooling was tricky to figure out (I'm not sure we ever did, really). The wifi was great. I liked the all-day availability of free snacks and drinks -- actually, that was really great. Kind of like home. The staff was very, very friendly - kudos on that! Well done, all! This is a little nitpicky, but the breakfast options were a little light. Fortunately, I like cereal, but my wife doesn't really. The heating system was just kind of weird. I couldn't figure out the chart that was supposed to explain how to use it - and when I sent a picture of it to two VERY smart friends, they couldn't agree on what the chart meant. Also, the trash cans in the room were pretty tiny. We moved the big one from the bathroom into the main room, and that was better.
Newspaper availability Stocked refrigerator Fresh, green lawn Fine location Large swimming pool Monday treats for baseball fans Inexpensive Flawed bathroom sink drain Stale, flavorless pastry Obscure location Very poor signage Awful parking availability
Overall a clean and utilitarian type of room. Nothing fancy for sure and if you're looking for a low price without worries this would be a great selection. Paper thin walls - I was in a separate building off of the main hotel so can't say whether all buildings are this bad, but I was wakened by the neighbor's alarm clock and overheard complete phone conversations - it was to the point I went outside to make calls.
The price was ok. The place was located in a maze of parking lots and was so hard to find at night. The room was tiny and smelled like old cigarettes. The bed was horrible and you could feel the springs in your back. The shower was the worst! Little tiles on the floor of the shower that when wet and soapy became an ice rink .
We liked the size of the room, the comfy bed and the kitchenette. The size of the trash cans, to small.
The breakfast buffet was especially nice compared to the usual sort of "continental breakfast" hotels offer. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The suite had a living room area with a couch and its own TV.
When my husband and I stayed at Springhill, I couldn't have been more pleased. We went down there for a concert which ended up getting canceled. The ladies at the front desk helped us find things to do for the night and were just overall very friendly. The breakfast was good along with the unbeatable price. We are already planning to stay there again next month.
Staff was helpful even late at night. Breakfast bar included Right next to a lot of shopping Breakfast wasn't great
Nice staff and located near shopping and restaurants. The pool and hot tub is outside. This is fine except for the days when the temp is 100+.
Very friendly/helpful staff, they have been trained well polite, know the area and offer good advice. They went out of their way to help us, the morning of checkout we had a flat tire and could not change it. We called mobile service and the staff allowed us to stay and offered cold water and other liquids as it was 107 degrees outside. The rooms only had a single TV, while it is big I do think two TVs would be better.
Staff is friendly, the mall is right there, clean rooms, awesome breakfast, clean hotel, id definitely stay here again.
Verified my reservations day before arrival. Reserved and paid for double beds. At chech in I was told they didn't have any doubles left but I could drive 15-20 miles from where I was at the get the rooms. Not an option since the concert started in 20 minutes. Then they offered me a roll away. Desk informed that she would give me my room at no cost because of the 100% guarantee. That of course made the uncomfortable roll away worth it. Until the next morning when we spoke to the day manager who informed us that since we booked it through a 3rd party the 100% guarantee didn't apply. We informed him about what we had been told by the front desk the night before. He finally agreed, refused to provide any documentation for the credit which may or may not show up as a credit in a week or so. Not happy or convinced it will happen!
The staff was exceptional here and everything exceeded our expectations. We visited when the area was quiet- nothing at the stadium or the arena- and loved it.
Proximity to many bars and restaurants. Also next to Tanger Outlet. Great free breakfast. Very friendly staff at front desk.
I loved the comfortable and spacious rooms. Rented a 2 bedroom suite but probably would have been fine with a large 1 bedroom suite. Very clean. came to spend weekend with family and friends felt the hotel accomodated all of us from ages 2 years to 46 years. cant bring an ice chest to the pool area. Could not find an ice machine anywhere.
Pool was large and slide very good for kids and adults. Rooms were quite good and the price was very good. Balcony was also very nice. Appreciated the computer and printer availability. USC students were there during our stay. Got a little noisy and a lot drunk.
The friendliness of the staff and the roominess of the condos.
The room was very clean - staff friendly and helpful. It looked like it hadn't been kept up. We stayed here 2 years ago and the grounds upkeep was excellent but this time around it looked like they cut costs and the upkeep was one of them. We needed a extra blanket for my kids and there were none, asked for extra shampoo/conditioner as we only received 1 of each in our room with a tub plus shower and was told we had to pay extra. Last time we stayed we had 4 in the room plus Tide laundry soap which is now not included in the rooms. The sofa bed was horrible with springs popping out - no cushion on the thin mattress - very uncomfortable for my kids.
The rooms were very nice. The pool was great. Terrific location, close to our daughter. no
That you could cook in your room and cut expenses by bringing your own groceries. Not a whole lot, they had poor customer service, Their planning for the july 4th holiday was horrible. There entertainment for karaokee was distgusting. I was not satisified at all with this resort for how many rooms we booked.
The location and general overall appearance of the hotel were excellent. I found the staff to be friendly and professional. The walls of the rooms are paper thin, and by that I mean I could not only hear, but often even understand conversations in the neighboring rooms.
Bed was comfortable, good shower Poor wifi reception, no kids TV channels, lousy breakfast
Location the breakfast was a disaster, ill prepard for # of guests, running out of most items several times durning breakfast hrs. & having to wait for 20 to 30 min. for hot items to be served.
1.The walls are very thin. You can hear the conversations of the person next door on their cell phones, TV's. 2.The patio doors were coming off the rails and wasn't easy to open. 3. The front door allow light to shine in.
When I got there the room was clean and relaxing I checked in and wasn't in my room 15 minutes when I got a quick knock at my door and then it opened as the house keeper said House Keeping. It wouldn't have been bad except I was about to get in the shower so I was naked. After that didn't get my room made up the rest of my time there.
Pool area was lovely Front office was decorated nicely Front desk attendants were pleasant Business center was appreciated Clean TV remote Close proximity to I-10 Cheapest hotel in the area Business center had run out of paper and the front desk attendant did not have any more Rooms smelled musty The bed spread and curtains need to be freshened and updated Hot breakfast eggs are not real eggs Older hotel in general
Breakfast Check in problems with paid ahead reservation
I like this hotel, it is always very accommodating. Good location. They need an update, furniture is outdated.

Great free breakfast When we came back to the room late at night there was a large roach in the bathroom
This property is the best Comfort Suites we've ever stayed in. Excellent location, many good chain restaurants nearby and located away from freeway noise yet still close. Good breakfast; great staff.
Great location -- closest hotel to the Indians & Reds spring training facility. This was the 5th time we've stayed here, and it has deteriorated. Much of the carpeting is stained and needs replacement, the mattress was saggy, the quality/variety of the breakfast food is not what it used to be, and there was a cockroach in one room.

Very good value. Refrigerator in room actually kept things cold. Nice breakfast. Tricky to get to. Confusing access, but OK once you figured it out.
Friendly and efficient staff. Full breakfast and excellent customer service.
First class hotel, the best part of my trip. They had fruit and coffee available 24 hours. The business center was free to use. The hot tub was actually hot and soothed all my aching joints from riding a chopper for 6 hours to get there. nothing...If I ever go to Phoenix again, no matter where my business is Ii will be staying at this Hotel!

Good restaurants near by so you can stay away from your room. Room was a dump! Filthy, no sheets on bed, toilet paper sink was dirty. I saw plenty of " girls of the night" pretty sure it's a rent by the hour type place. I travel 270 days per year and stay in a lot of hotels I'm used to seeing some bad stuff but this is the only time I've reviewed one. It's so bad I never slept there I got another hotel in Scottsdale for a bit more but soooo worth it.
this place hasn't much positive to say about -- the location was ok but not easy to find at 11pm at night. Back parking area has hotel furniture and mattresses laying around --the whole place needs serious capital investment to bring it in to standards of 2016.
I don't know what the other reviews are complaining about this place was amazing! The bed was even more comfortable than my bed back home I had the best sleep I have had in a long time thanks to this hotel. The room came with a couch, coffee table, flat screen tv, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, and a coffee maker with enough coffee to make four cups. The lady at the front desk was very courteous and sweet to us. Our room was very clean except for a stain on the floor you can tell they tried to get out but the carpet was bright and cushy so I am guessing a guest spilled something when it first was installed. The shampoo, conditioner, soap and body lotion are made from a very good brand that I would get if I could find here in phoenix. If I ever need a hotel again I will definitely be staying here it is cheaper and has more amenities than the others around the area. Plus that bed was just amazing. The only thing I didn't like was they accidentally double charged me but I talked to the lady at the front desk when I checked out and she quicky fixed the problem without any fuss.
Location Dirty, not maintained, needs major renovation. Worst of all the cleaning staff were totally untrained or negligent.
The location was convenient and the price was good. The people on staff were friendly, professional and responsive. I was there for 8 nights and got to know them a little bit... good people. It was very noisy, probably due to the location. It seems to be old and tired. Many things were not working properly. They weren't important enough to me to complain, but I did give a list to the front desk when I checked out so obey could fix things for the next patrons.
Location When checking in given room already occupied. Our room had a non working toilet from almost over flowing to not flushing. Office sent maintenance to wrong room and when they final arrived they were able to fix only the over flowing part not the not flushing part of the toilet. Uncomfortable feeling!!!!
Good location for us. Very reasonable price. Friendly and helpful staff. Their cookies are awesome.... Nice and clean. The bedding is older at this facility than what we are used to with Hampton. The breakfast only had instant eggs and the fruit was not as good as you would expect for that part of the country.
The facilities were nice and modern. All equipment was working and functional. No one ever wanted to clean the breakfast tables at the hotel breakfast. We sat at a dirty table every day. The hotel will not change sheets the entire stay, yet they expect you to tip the housekeeper.
Clean. Comfy beds. Pet friendly
The staff was super friendly and very helpful. The free breakfast was simply FANTASTIC. It is right off I-10 on the west side of Phoenix in Goodyear. Gas stations and Target are right nearby. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to the Phoenix area.
The room was very clean, and I enjoyed the pool. The lobby and other amenities were great. There was an evening meal while I was there.
As a frequent traveler I have been disappointed a few times but this was THE BEST. Brand new bedding, clean and quiet. Friendly staff and good continental breakfast.
I enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn Express. I like the different options they had for the free breakfast. The beds were comfortable and the shower actually had some pressure so I could wash my hair. I was alittle disappointed in the tub size. It seemed that every room option I selected, showed a picture of a jacuzzi tub. After a 12 hour drive to get to this hotel, i was looking forward to that tub. That jacuzzi only comes in a few rooms. Nice to know! I liked the refreshing water in the lobby with the lemon or orange slices in it but got to enjoy that for one day (our first day) we never saw tha container again. They really should keep that water out all day. P.S the rooms were nice however they need to do something about the noisy air conditioning unit. That thing kept me up all night and it wasnt like I could turn it down because it would get too dang hot.
This was a good enough hotel, staff was friendly, room was clean. Not a wow/spectacular hotel, but nicer than just average. It was conviently located, a lot of shopping and restaurants very close by. We would definately stay there again.
We had a long wearing drive to get to the hotel & needed to see if we could check in early to quickly change for the wedding that we were in town to attend. We called when we were still about an hour away to see if this would be possible and were told that it would be no problem at all. When we arrived, the clerk quickly checked us in & we were able to get changed & arrived at the wedding with time to spare. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was much more than is typical for other hotels that offer free breakfast. I will definitely stay here again the next time I am in town!
Everything was VERY EASY on this stay. The location was just a block or so away from the I-10 Freeway exit, but did not hear any noise from our room. Convenient to many restaurants, stores, and shops. The hotel was very clean. Breakfast was complete with eggs, sausage or bacon, cereals, good coffee. A nice touch every day was the 'big jug of ice water filled with slices of lemons'. A nice way to hydrate every time you pass by...
staff was friendly and helpful! breakfast there in the mornings was one of the better that I have had! Will stay here again!
Wish I could go back today.Place was great. Everything was close. Staff was more han helpful.
My husband and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express on Litchfield Rd. in Goodyear,AZ Thanksgiving weekend 2009. We have a daughter and son-in-law who moved to the area a year and a half ago. It was so important that we visit them. What did we enjoy about the Holiday Inn Express on Litchfield Rd. in Goodyear? It was clean, quiet, close to lots of amenities, and freeway. Breakfast was great each morning. We couldn't ask for anything more while away from home for a few days. Only one suggestion. Don't put the winter comforters out until December. We both got warm during the night. Take this comment with caution . . . we're from Michigan! We can withstand more cold than others at that time of the year.
My stay was very good nice and clean room. very helpful staff and good food for breakfast with restaurants all around.
I was able to get an early check in which was great since I had to get ready for a wedding I was in town for. The room was clean, the bedding was nice, and the breakfast was good. Only negative I have is that the TV wouldn't change channels. I ended up watching Netflix on my cell phone at night. TV wouldn't change channels
The manager Lisa Reyes and her staff made this stay at the Hampton Inn the most pleasant stay that I have had. I was amazed at the excellent service I got checking in to checking out. This was my first time staying at Hampton Inn. If a Hampton Inn is located where I need a room that is where I plan to stay in the future. Keep up the good work. Thanks
Nice and clean, a reasonable size pool and an excellent breakfast. We only had one double bed which was a let down as we had expected two at least in one room but we were only staying one night.
Pool was nice. Staff was great! Clean place. Decorated nicely. I would definitely stay here again in the future.
Spent 4 nights in July 2009 and loved everything about the Residence Inn by Mariott Phoenix Glendale. The hotel is beautiful. Rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Front desk and other staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. Breakfast was very nice and we were even able to grab something before the 6am start when we left for the day at 5:30. Evening reception is also a great touch. Location is wonderful...close to the freeways and many fun restaurants at Westgate Center. Loved the convenience of printing out boarding passes using the computer in the hotel's business area. And my boyfriend loved that it was walking distance from Cabelas. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
THis was a great weekend getaway spot. My wife and I travel a lot and this hotel exceeded our expectations. The free buffet breakfast and evening drinks were great too. The best part of our stay was the fact that we could go across the street to a place called West Gate. They have some many things to do. Restaurants and bars galore!!!
I stayed at the Residence Inn in Glendale AZ (right across from the Univeristy of Phoenix Stadium) and had such a great time. We were there for a tournament in town that had the area filled, and after hearing the stories about the other near by hotels, I have to say I am so grateful that I satyed at the Residence Inn. From the minute we got there, to the minute we left, the hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was a great one! Breakfast was delicious (and free). The pool was absolutely wonderful....it almost had a resort feel to it!!! I highly reccomend staying at this hotel, I will definately come back!
this hotel is in walking distance to the stadium. its very clean and roomy for the money. we got a suit where the kids stayed in one room and my husband and i stayed in another.i will go back again.
Great location to stay for a NFL or NHL game,. Very welcoming and knowledgable staff. I will stay again.
If you are looking for a very nice place to relax with peace and quiet. Please visit the Glendale Residence Inn. Also, the customer service is great and they have a wonderful staff, My husband and I stayed here for our 3rd Wedding Anniversary and the hotel is very clean and everything is upgraded. Tip - Walking distance from the Westgate with nice restaurants and shop and the dancing water just like Bellagio in Las Vegas.
Beautiful, fantastic wonderful, beautiful suites with full kitchens and granite counters. it was nicer than my house. this is an amazing place to stay. great breakfast every morning, this place is a 10
Very accommodating staff - I booked a great flight/hotel package and they matched the discounted hotel rate when I requested an additional room. The suites are moderately sized and have no partition between bed and living space, so I booked a second room for my pre-teen boys next to our room. Our room overlooked the pool and we did have a bit of noise in the evening from other families using the pool - nothing over the top. Exercise faciliites were great. Morning breakfast included hot foods like scrambled eggs, french toast, waffles, sausage, potatoes - more than the traditional cold cereal and pastries served by other hotels promoting 'free continental breakfast'. My boys were happy - so was I. VERY close to movies, sports venues, restaurants and shopping.
My family and I stayed in the 2 bedroom suite for three nights. We loved it! It was spacious and had everything. We needed for the kitchen. It was only 2mins from the university of Phoenix stadium where my sisters graduation ceremony was being held. I wish we had stayed longer. Overall for the price, it was a good deal. Next graduation we're going to book the same suite.
The breakfast was terrific. Lots of selection and tasty. Having the breakfast open at 6:00am was important because we had to be over at the tennis center at 6:30am. Also, having coffee available early was really nice. The people working the breakfast were all very nice and very accommodating. The lobby was a great space for our group to congregate and socialize and there was room for others to do the same.
