9.2 Excellent
Pros: the place is fairly new and the minimalistic design is well built - very comfortable stay and clean property. located very near to the waisai harbor and thus convenient, just need a 5-10 minutes car ride.
Cons: a bit pricey, especially for the foods, 4-5 more expensive than restaurants in the city.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Staff were extremely friendly, attentive and very accommodating to our needs. I don’t eat breakfast until noon, and they were happy to keep the fruit for me until then for me to eat. Room was cleaned everyday. Diving and snorkelling equipment were great.
Cons: Unfortunately staying at Meridian was not worth the price and we felt as if we were ripped off for the amount we paid. Firstly, the resort is advertised through social media as being this amazing resort set in a perfect location where activities can be done just outside of the resort. We got sucked into the videos they provide on their Instagram along with the many photos where you see people paddle boarding day or night, jumping off boats to swim into the ocean or relaxing by the beach. Under activities and entertainment on booking.com it states they have a “private beach area”. This resort does not have a private beach at all. It has a jetty where they have all their boats parked along it. The water is muddy just as you walk up from the resort. The beach I would say which is only accessible by scooter and is at least a 30 minute ride. We booked this place with the intention of swimming out into the “private beach area” where we could swim in clear water, relax, tan, snorkel and do other activities. All you can really do here is spend your full days either diving or snorkeling, and if you aren’t doing that then you are sitting in your room because the pool they provide isn’t cooling. The water is warm and it can get very hot there, so swimming in the pool felt pointless as we weren’t even refreshed. The prices at this resort are ridiculous and confusing. When we asked how much snorkeling and diving was we were told by reception it was $50 US for snorkeling (half day to snorkel at 2 separate sites for 1 hour each) and $66 US each tank for diving (minimum dive is 2 tanks, half day roughly 1 hour each dive). However when talking to one of the dive instructors we were told each dive (1 tank) is $75 US. They tell you the prices in US dollars without including a 10% tax which they add onto everything you are being charged for at the resort. It seems a bit pointless being told the prices in US dollars when you are billed in Indonesian rupiah at the end of your stay.

3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Very bad The staff ate bettwr than we
Cons: BEWARE !!! I was very disgusted at the hotel. The standard is awfull, less than 1 star. The room is very very dirty, not cleaned since weeks.  Thed did not give us even the toilet paper. This 3 star is a joke. The hotel should bot be in booking at all. The bed has infects I got an allergy. The manager is cheating . For diving he agreed 1 price, in the evening was higher at during the diving on the boat (we agreed 3x divings) he made only two and pretended additional money for 3 dives. In total it was nore than 50% that it was agreed. The manager is very very unfriendly and pretending money for any extra service. He did not even give us the toilet paper to the bathroom and no soap.  When we took an alternative diving he was very angry and was switching the electricity down when we left the room so I even could not load my phone and it was very hot. The windows has hiles throgh which the insect come through. Meals very low standards. And not good, fat rice and old fish. Very fat. He made for himself and his girls better meals.  The only good things in the hotel is a perfect view on a peer . Nice sunsets and sunrice.
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: This is a very quiet place because there is any customer
Cons: The fact you have to negotiate for everything and the price change every day. They try to increase the price of any activities beside the accommodation. They agreed for a price one day and the next one they add new fees for no reason. 7 persons left for the same reason than me.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Stay at Gurara is a wonderful place to leave the worries of every day behind and just rest and be happy! A polite staff, friendly, familiar - helpful service whenever needed. Nice rooms offer you enough place to stay inside if you like. Fresh & tasty food, made with love in this wonderful restaurant with a view over the ocean. And of course a good place for diving and snorkelling in a clean and warm ocean full of life. We will definitely come back next year! Thank you Gurara.. we love Raja Ampat
Cons: Nothing

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cozy, clean and the food os good
Cons: Sometimes difficult to get wifi
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very spacious room meters away from the beach. What a pleasure to sleep hearing the sound of the waves! Staff was very helpful organising tours and activities in Raja Ampat. Definitely worth it.
Cons: N/A
5.4 Okay
Pros: The staff were very attentive and tried to make us feel very welcomed all the time. The place is nice and we had a very good day doing some snorkeling organised by the hotel.
Cons: We had arrange transportation from Sorong to Raja Ampat with them and no one showed up at the airport the first day. It was really difficult to contact them. Even though they tried to make up for it, in the end it did not work very well because on our return the driver showed up at the ferry harbor but didn't appear the next day to take us to the airport. The toilet area was poorly cleaned the first day and smelled terrible. We had to leave in advanced because one of us got sick and we had to pay for the two days extra that we were not there with the argument that we had booked the whole stay through booking.com and they couldn't do anything about it, which we are not sure it is like that. Food was just ok for a couple of days. We really wish this review was better because the people in the hotel were very nice, but these were the facts. Sorry!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is really nice, it s a mixture of nature, the beach and a nice room, very good relaxation. The food is great. The stuff is very helpful and friendly. I would say best hotel in Raja Ampat.
Cons: nothing. There is of course some improvements which can be done.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff service Hot Showers Relaxed environment Exceptional Dive Team
7.9 Good
Pros: Very friendly staff. The diving instructor Maxi and his team were first class. Nice rooms. Food OK.
Cons: Too dark and too much vegetation. Needs to be cleared up to let the sun in. No bar or sundowners.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The resort itself is very nice. The food was excellent and the staff apart from the dive team are very attentive and accommodating. Kudos to the reception desk staff, the drivers and the restaurant staff.
Cons: No massage or spa available. The diving here is very expensive and the dive staff were rude. When we enquired about diving they even refused to speak to us until after dinner, so we dived with a different company. Whilst diving we saw one of the divemaster from this resort adopting very bad underwater behaviours one example i witnessed was him poking and physically picking up a frog fish for what seemed like his own amusement. Disgusting to watch him harass the underwater world that keeps him employed. Dive masters like this shouldn't be allowed to work.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Extremely good value 2 star hotel. Staff extremely keen to please. Meals simple but good. Room and bathroom very clean. Nice beach. Pickup and drop off from ferry very helpful also.
Cons: Waisai is a remote Muslim location. Lack of ability to buy alcohol in the entire area.
