Pros: The availability of variety for food and drinks in the same building were great when we were too tired to come up with somewhere to go for food. Location was awesome for shopping and some of the the big sites. Very close to the metro, but cabs are so inexpensive and accessible that we were able to get those to head to destinations too far to walk.
Cons: We were bummed that the mineral pools were not open during our January stay. There was no advance warning on their website about it being seasonal or under construction.

Cons: buffet breakfast is not as good as used to be, compare with my last year stay.
Pros: This is a very elegant hotel with a wonderful layout. The rooms were absolutely beautiful and very clean, with spacious bathrooms and a very comfortable bed. The staff were incredible. They all displayed high quality customer service and were extremely helpful, from getting us taxis to helping us find local places to eat as well as suggestions of where to go to see things in Taipei. The breakfast was very well organized and had a mix of western and Chinese food. One of the Manager's Johnny was very kind and respectful and always made sure that we were happy. The whole stay was amazing and would very highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Taipei. For the service and amenities this hotel offered I believe this was an excellent deal in terms of cost. I will definitely return to this hotel in the future.
Pros: service was excellent, location great
Cons: neighborhood didn't have stores that were of interest to walk to.
Pros: The staff lived up to its reputation as being both friendly and helpful. Also, we visited the Shangri-La while in Taipei and glad we stayed at the Landis. The other hotels had an industrial feel and totally impersonal. Will be returning.
Cons: The only complaint was that the beds were a bit hard, but not a deal breaker.

Pros: Great staff. Helped call cab companies when I lost my phone. Hotel is nice but old, room smelled musty. Booked a triple specifically because it said 3 beds and when we arrived they offered us a double + twin which didn't work for us 3 adults (double beds in Asia are VERY small). I showed them my confirmation which specifically said 3 twin beds, so they finally put us in a room with 2 twin beds + a rollaway twin. They were helpful but would have preferred to get what I booked in the first place. Not sure if this is the hotel's fault or Kayak's (who I booked through).
Pros: The hotel has no gym and the staff cannot find one for daily rate access
Otherwise very good
Cons: The staff could not direct me to either a print shop or a gym
No senior English speaking staff at concierge but otherwise very good
