Connect with comfort in one of our 343 newly renovated guest rooms! One of the top boutique hotels in Washington, DC, the Liaison Capitol Hill is inviting guests to experience our newest hotel updates. Our recent redesign completely transformed all guest rooms and corridors featuring modern lighting and sleek furnishings, creating an ambiance of timeless, contemporary living. The decor is inspired by our location in the heart of Washington, DC, highlighting the prominence of the capital city and its political landscape through bold colors. The result, in addition to a newly, renovated DC boutique hotel, is a sophisticated hot spot for politicians and the like to gather and socialize after a long day of tending to the affairs of our nation, providing guests with a powerful connection to the city as well as an urban hideaway away from prying eyes. The rooms feature flat screen TVs, Wi-Fi, iHome docks, modern furnishings, upgraded signature bedding and remodeled bathrooms. The hallways have been refurbished with new carpeting, wall decor and lighting to match the new guestroom decor and offer a transition between the buzz downstairs and the privacy upstairs. Boasting a prime location on Capitol Hill, The Liaison is the closest hotel to the U.S. Capitol. The Smithsonian, the National Mall, Union Station, and dozens of the country's most visited museums and monuments are within walking distance. The Capitol Hill hotel is both a powerful bond to the nation's capital and a comfortable escape as well. At in-house restaurant Art and Soul, celebrity Chef Art Smith lovingly creates his award-winning Southern-modern "food for the soul." Our seasonal rooftop pool and bar make another spectacular setting, with views that highlight The Liaison's central location between Union Station and the Capitol.
Value for money was good. There wasn't anything over-the-top in terms of luxury or "wow" factors, but it was just fine and comfortable. Also, a good value.
The restaurant was too expensive, the menu way too short, and the food was just so-so.
There was a musty smell in the corridor, no fridge and creamer sachets instead of real milk
fine location. Decor not insufferably boring.
small bathroom, windows were all fogged up, too much scented air freshener used in room. When i emailed after my trip asking for a receipt they told me i had to request it from expedia.
Clean. Nice rooms. Comfortable bed. Nice staff. Great ancillary location to sites, restaurants, and the metro/union station. It's own restaurant, Art and Soul, is wonderful. Very reasonable price compared to other DC hotels.
Very clean, good concierge help, great value, rooftop pool and bar were very cool! I would come back again...
The area. Just a block down from the hotel it looked like a rough part of town. After the first night, definitely wanted to be back in my room before the sun came down or take a cab to the front door of the hotel. Also, no accessibility to water unless you were willing to pay $6 for the fiji bottle in your room.
The patio bar was wonderful. The food at Art & Soul was worth trying. If you need to stay on Capitol Hill or be near Union Station, this is a good choice.
The "rooftop bar" isn't much of a bar. No free wi-fi in the rooms, and for only one day in the lobby. The bathrooms are tiny - no counter space. No great restaurants on the street except Art & Soul. Union Station has a wide range of restaurants, but after that you'll have to walk a ways.
The rooms are clean, the beds are super comfortable. The staff is very quick to help and assist. They obviously want you to enjoy your stay. I have stayed here a few times a year and always find this hotel to be tops in service and cleanliness.
The mini coffee makers don't work sometimes, but if you inform the desk they are quick to respond.
Exceptionally helpful, friendly staff and the location. The rooftop pool and casual seating areas were family friendly.
The front entrance construction was unexpected; however, the alternate entrance was inviting. The food from the restaurant was a bit pricey ( but several places in D.C. were overpriced also.
staff was friendly and very accommodating
we paid to have 4 people in the room we went to shower and there were only 3 towels . I Called housekeeping and they brought one to us
It was clean, comfy, and modern
No vending machines , couldn't find a drink after midnight. Staff found me one on her own.
Everyone was cheerful. We couldn't stay longer
