Excellent 10.0
Pros: Charles was Fantastic! He was so accommodating to our needs. He made us feel so welcome. The attention to detail in the room was impeccable. Very clean and very well maintained. The grounds were lovely. The breakfast was fantastic! We loved it so much we extended our trip another day! we would not stay anywhere else when visiting the Vineyard !
Cons: Nothing we could think of!
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Delicious Beautiful room
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great hospitality both by the staff and Charles the owner.
Cons: I lived everything about this stay!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Breakfast was outstanding. Location was quiet, convenient, well maintained and upscale. Staff were friendly, professional and unobtrusive. All amenities were enjoyable and beyond expectations. We would gladly stay at this B&B again!
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 8.0
Pros: I didn't like the size of the room. It was small for a queen size bed. I felt a little claustrophobic.
Cons: I loved the hospitality of the hosts. They were very attentive to all of our requests. The Vegan Breakfast was delicious. There was even a Surprise Birthday cake with a candle left in the room on my birthday.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Breakfast was outstanding and unexpected. Bikes were provided to venture to shops nearby, and bus transit was simple for longer travel. Flowers were stunning not just where we stayed but the entire island. Felt like I was in a flower shop.
Cons: Sad that a few shops in town had already closed for the season. We felt unimportant to those and it was only the end of September.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Breakfasts were fabulous. Convenient location. Perfect place!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It was having wonderful breakfasts that was a important part of our honeymoon plan and a big reason why we chose Charles & Charles (the foodie photos on the web site). We weren't disappointed.
Excellent 10.0
This was our first experience in a B&B, and it was great. The room was spacious and so nicely decorated, the beds were comfortable, there is wifi and cable (so you have all the amenities of a hotel), and the home-made breakfast is delicious! Charles recommended places to go in MV (first time we were there), and so nicely helped us out with a ride to the ferry. Great hosts and environment.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Excellent staff and amenities. I will stay here again and again!
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The staff was more than accommodating, personable, friendly and with a smile.
Cons: Really, could not have eaten all that came on the platter. Liked the variety. Would like to be able to choose what we wanted from the platter so as to not to waste anything. Everything was fixed just right. We did stop at the kitchen the second and third morning and was able to pick from the menu. As I said, all was great.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Breakfast was surprisingly well-prepared, nicely balanced in terms of nutrition and very ample, and the coffee was excellent!!! (Coffee is an under-rated feature at too many lodging and dining spots...I literally write off places where the coffee is really subpar.) The personnel to a person were genuine, courteous, prompt, responsive, and professional. Abby is an all-star!! Having on-site parking so close to the very heart of Edgartown is very key. The public spaces for hanging out...the porch, the garden, the living room, etc., areas, are very very comfortable. My grandchildren adored the chocolate cookies! Water freely dispensed was a nice change from paying for water!! Great to have a fridge in the room. Excellent water pressure in the shower!!! And so close to everywhere in the heart of Edgartown, and yet so quiet and serene!!!
Cons: Very small change here...perhaps an on-demand movie feature for the rooms?
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Every little detail from the front entry all the way to room was exquisite. The room was very clean and beautiful furnishing. All the comforts of home! Abby and Max were the best staff as well.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The minute we walked in the door the staff was accommodating, kind and helpful. Breakfast is served daily and we were pleasantly surprised to receive a full tray of fresh baked goods and a healthy hearty breakfast.
Cons: The property was perfection. The porch is delightful and the staff was so accommodating.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This boutique hotel is lovely and you feel like it's your home away from home. It's decorated beautifully on the inside, with a relaxing porch and beautiful gardens. You get a delicious breakfast every morning which you can choose to eat inside or at the many tables in the garden. I can't begin to say enough about the staff. They all work together to make sure your stay is unbelievable.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: My husband and I were blown away by the full service breakfast we received. Fresh fruit, eggs, toast, yogurt/granola, the best coffee and home made scones. Also provided the best cookies at the front desk available all day and night.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The quaint HobKnob Inn was lovely and very comfortable. Our room overlooked a small secluded stone patio. We used the library fireplace room for a nightly glass of wine, and the airy porch was very welcoming each morning as we enjoyed our daily coffee before the delicious homemade breakfasts. The staff eagerly helped with suggestions and recommendations to each and every question we had. Our stay was absolutely fantastic!! We highly recommend the HobKnob Inn!!!
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9.0
Cons: I liked that it was quaint and private.

Okay 4.0
Pros: Location was nice.
Cons: - Stairway to 3rd floor was unacceptable. - Breakfast was extremely disappointing. - Counter closed early; should not have. - Whole place was simply over-rated, especially compared to other B&Bs we stayed at throughout New England.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Sweet touches of food being amazing and decor outstanding with such charm
Cons: Bed was a tiny bit too firm but not worth changing because it could be just me
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Breakfast most days was great.
Cons: Probably should be a warning somewhere about the steep and narrow stairs and the fact that there is no elevator. For those on the third floor carrying luggage it was a bit taxing.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Great place, very charming. Excellent location. The staff are friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.
Cons: The only room for improvement is the breakfast. We tried the coffee and breakfast on the first day and decided to go out for breakfast every day.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The house, the bed rooms, the living room. A very special breakfast. The staff who did ein possible to make the stay comfortable and relaxing
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Great spot, great staff, highly recommend!

Excellent 8.0
Pros: Pretty good breakfast selection The room was nice, good bed linens and towels. Loved the garden and outdoor seating. Brandy was very nice and helpful. Perfect location.
Cons: My room was very dark. No good reading light . No chair in my room . One overhead light burned out
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The breakfasts were just OK.
Cons: The room was a bit dark, there was no hot water for 1.5 days and there was no heat, just air conditioning which provided no heat regardless of the temperature selected. , The solution was a heavy blanket and a space heater. For the price I expected a bit more. I had stayed at this site a few years ago and was very happy with everything. I was less so this time although not being billed at booking and a more generous cancellation window were definitely a plus
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Lots of terrific amenities. Brandy was welcoming & attentive!

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Breakfast was LOVELY. Location is superb! Staff was friendly and helpful. Very cozy and well-decorated.
Cons: Might be helpful if they had a better process for storing luggage before/after checking in or check out.
Excellent 9.1
Pros: When we arrived they told us that the room had already been booked, due to another person changing the booking for another website. They quickly told us not to worry and they would honor our booking and work to re-book the other person at another location. In two hours, while we ate lunch, they called and told us that we could check into the room

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Excellent location, cute cottage and grounds
Cons: The sofa bed was...well a sofabed. Good kitchen equipment. car was very close
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Nice location, full apartment, everything we needed.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The location was great. Very clean place, cute & good price. Would definetley come back.
Cons: As far as we were concerned, there was nothing we didn't like. Everything was great!!
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Location was exce!lent. Unit was a mini home away from home. Well equipted.
Cons: The only things I would change about the unit, were the living room and bedroom end tables. They were too low to be of use. In the living room, you couldn't place a glass on them because they were much lower than the arms of the couch. In the bedroom, the end table lamps were too low for reading in bed. Everything else was great.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: everything. Apartment is so nice with all facility. we wanted to check in early & room was not ready & I was told will call you when it will be ready & they did. I forgot to add room on GROUND FLOOR only. So they gave me 1st floor & I can't climb stairs So they made room available on ground floor but it was not ready. Again they call me when room was ready. It was so nice of them to take care of old people. Thank you EDGARTOWN and our special thanks to MONICA who took care of us
Cons: we were on ground floor but all their building has no elevators. (and it did mention on their amenity) on other hand this a apartments complex
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The close proximity to the center of town
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Parking was good, very functional very clean.
Cons: The walls are very thin so you definitely hear your neighbors.
Good 7.1
Pros: location

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Close to everything, large rooms. Loved having a small apartment while traveling with my daughter. Staff was very friendly. Can't recommend enough.
Cons: Noise from pool can be a little much if you're staying right next to it. Not a huge deal though.

Poor 1.0
Cons: Room very inadequately equipped-no chair or seating, poor lighting, tiny bathroom,no guardrail in tub, very disappointing for $300/night.
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: breakfast was great. Room was cold, rug stained, no towel bars. no counter in bath for toiletries. dinner was good but not excellent, overpriced
Cons: see above
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The service was exceptional - Sheldon was so hospitable and took care of us during our stay. Lovely place to relax in Martha’s Vineyard
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Private beach access, and very closes to the inn. Complimentary bikes for us to bike to the beach. Hiking trail head is literally by the parking lot
Cons: Sorry , we did found dirty diapers behind the dresser. The pictures in the website looks more clean and upscale than what we saw in person The bathroom needs to update
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: Good location
Cons: We had an extremely negative experience and expected much better service given the price of the hotel. For starters the checkin and checkout time was 4pm and 11am. The standard is typically 3pm and 12am. When we got inside, we found the hotel and room in a very poor condition. There was black mold all over the shower and the air conditioner. The door in our room was jammed and needed to be forcibly slammed in order to open and close it. The bathroom sink was clogged. We found spiders in our pillow cases and silverfish in the bathroom. The wifi connectivity in the bedroom was poor as well and constantly cut in and out.
Poor 1.0
Pros: Location
Cons: Staff were blunt Very expensive for what you get, you can hear everything thing from the neighbors rooms Breakfast was very average My wife overheard the receptionist complaining about the guests
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything.
Cons: Nothing.
Mediocre 2.0
Pros: . The rooms were dated and small. The hot tub was broken. Breakfast was grab n go and not very good. Dinner at the resturaunt was ok-but a child threw up next to us and it reeked-at no point did anyone-offer to move us or buy us a drink. There were no towels in our room-and house keeping never cleaned our room during our two night stay. When I asked I was told that they were short staffed. The website is totally misleading. The only thing that was good were the gardens and the shuttle to the beach.
Cons: Service was HORRBLE at both the hotel and the resturaunt
Good 6.5
Pros: Very friednly staff . Location , good excess to beach .
Cons: Room was too small for the price, bathroom was very uncomfortable .

Pros: I did not like the rude staff or owner it made everything horrible !
Cons: We reserved a pet friendly room . We were harassed for having the pet . To the point my wife left in an ambulance to Martha's Vineyard emergency room ; what a nightmare. The owner did not even apppologize she even insulted us further . The island is wounderul just this hotel is horrible !
Excellent 9.7
Pros: All the physical features and fixtures of the room were of high quality and in top shape. The public areas were spotless, with interesting thematic display cases of items from Martha's Vineyard history. The staff was friendly and responsive.

Okay 5.0
Pros: location was good, within walking distance of town, where we bought breakfast
Cons: received coffee only, no breakfast
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The place was as described, old, rustic and in a great convenient location. I was attracted to this place because of its age and history. So my review will be based on that. 1) The room was as described, old dressers and bed. 2) The bathroom was small, clean and accommodating. 3) The downstairs was quaint, antique items and time sensitive decor. 4) The surrounding grounds where we'll kept, Beautiful landscaped yard and cute birdhouse. 5) The keeper was pleasant and knowledgeable. 6) Convenient to the ferry and local shops. 7) 10 min ride via public bus to Oak Bluffs. 8) Friendly atmosphere and shop owners
Cons: I was disappointed to not have a full bed and breakfast experience. I did not see the "Covid" disclaimer until a week prior. The B & B had tea, yogurt and Blueberries.
Good 6.0
Pros: Staying at the 1720 House was an experience if you are looking to really connect with a traveling companion or having alone time. There was light breakfast served daily ( blueberries, yogurt, bread, and coffee). It was just enough to carry us to an early lunch. The website needs some updating because some of the amenities (bikes) were very old and not movable. It's a quaint historic house so there isn't central air however every room has window A/C and there is a screened in porch to relax and read a nice book and sip some adult beverages. There are no televisions in the room which was nice because it gave time to connect and discuss the days adventures and plan for the next day and get some rest in very, very comfortable beds. The drawback is there's a television downstairs but it doesn't work so if it's a miserable day out (rain/thunderstorms) grab another book from the shelf. The hostess Abby is a published author so may be give her novels a read. The reason I gave my rating is because although my stay wasn't 5 star I do believe that running this type of business isn't easy and can be expensive when trying to accommodate everyone's needs or wants. Also the 1720 House is located on Main Street so there's lots to do and places to explore. I didn't want some of my disappointments dampening my entire stay. So I recommend people to come out and visit and do your research you will defitinitley enjoy your stay!
Poor 1.0
Cons: 1720 House, simply put, is not a true bed and breakfast. The facilities were old and dirty, very bad customer service, the hostess/owner was not accommodating.
Okay 5.0
Pros: Great location
Cons: The bathroom sink was dirty, there was debris in it. Then when I tried to clean it, there was hair and more debris in the drain. Quite unpleasant.
Good 7.0
Pros: The house was located on Main St. yet it was quiet and the rooms were pleasant. There was a nice breakfast and air conditioning in the room.
Cons: The stairs were much to steep and far apart. I know this is an old house but it made it very difficult for my friend and I to go up and down. If we needed the bathroom it was upstairs.
