A Grade II listed romantic, quirky holiday cottage with two bedrooms in St Leonards On Sea, East Sussex, close to Hastings and Battle. You enter the property at the base of the turret climbing the stone staircase to the lounge door. The property, once thought to be an old forge, has been sympathetically restored keeping all the old property's charms. The lounge, with its stripped original floorboards and woodburning stove, is a lovely room to relax in after a day spent exploring 1066 Country. Off the lounge is a double bedroom, cosy dining room with another woodburning stove and the galley style kitchen. A small WC is off the dining room and, as with all the rooms in Little Turret, doesn't disappoint with its quirky finish. Stairs lead up off the dining room to the master bedroom with its unusual round window - on a clear day its possible to see the sea. An amazing kingsize rococco bed and luxury bed linen make for a very romantic bedroom. The family bathroom, with exposed brickwork, roll top bath, and fluffy towels, creates a tranquil space to relax. To the side of Little Turret is a decked area with seating and here you can enjoy the peace and quiet and enjoy a morning coffee or a cold drink. Please note that children under the age of 12 are not permitted. Around St Leonards on Sea Little Turret is a short drive to the seafront and the area has a growing lively community favoured by artist and musicians. A thriving cafe culture, antique and bric a brac shops and galleries make this an interesting place to while away a few hours on a lazy weekend. Bexhill is just along the coast and the seafront is very popular with walkers and cyclists. The popular Del La Warr Pavilion with its exhibitions and live music acts makes for an entertaining visit whilst in Bexhill. Hastings Old Town in the opposite direction is picturesque and quaint and still has one of the biggest fishing fleets in Europe, so a visit to the fresh fish shacks is a must if you love seafood. Four miles inland is the town of Battle and the magnificent Battle Abbey and battlefields, history on your doorstep and a must visit. You are of course in 1066 Country and with that comes castles, National Trust Gardens and grand houses, plenty to visit during your stay but too many for me to list.
