Pros: My husband is on the paleo diet and hotel employee went out of her way to purchase and make bacon and sausage for breakfast for him. Great location, and friendly staff.
Situated in Fairhaven, this romantic bed & breakfast is steps from Fairhaven Town Hall, Millicent Library, and Unitarian Memorial Church. Fort Phoenix State Reservation and New Bedford Whaling Museum are also within 2 mi (3 km).
Located in Ocean Drive Historic District, this romantic hotel is 0.1 mi (0.2 km) from Castle Hill Lighthouse and 2.4 mi (3.9 km) from Fort Adams State Park. Brenton Point State Park and Newport Country Club are also within 2 mi (3 km).
Pros: Location is great, beautifully renovated building
Cons: Not applicable
Pros: I love the location it was near everything in Newport. The breakfast & afternoon tea were amazing! The shower was one of the best I ever had in a hotel. The staff was super friendly too!
Cons: It has limited parking.
Pros: A great place. Especially the location. The morning rooftop continental breakfast was well done.
Cons: The only minor complaint, uncomfortable sofa in the studio room.
Pros: Great staff and room and breakfast.
Pros: Perfect location. Cute and comfy decor. Friendly, easy going staff. Best place to stay for a couple nights in the heart of Newport.
Pros: Suite layout and fireplace
Cons: Limited amenities (no gym, no room service, etc)
Clean, friendly and rooms were very impressive.
Pros: Much nicer than anticipated. Very close to everything!
Cons: That I only stayed one night.
The Mill Street Inn, a gem among Newport Hotels, is a former nineteenth century mill that combines historic charm with today's modern luxuries. Located in the Historic Hill neighborhood, we are just a block from Thames Street, home to many of Newport's excellent shops, restaurants and sites.Guests enjoy all-suite accommodations with historic features such as original beams and exposed brick walls. A rooftop deck with expansive views of the harbor lets guests enjoy breakfast seasonally in the ocean breeze.
Pros: Bedding very comfortable, nice pillows, and a clean room.
Cons: Broken Toilet, when we called downstairs to let them know, got the impression they already knew there was an issue. They did send someone right away, but wish it was taken care of before getting to our room. That night after returning from dinner 9 p.m. the guest in the next room BANGED AND SHOUTED for us to be quiet - we were laughing - no TV on no music on just enjoying our view and relaxing - did NOT feel comfortable at this persons Anger! We were able to change rooms but at the front desk did get a little push back on - if they could get us a room with a view...I told them we were not loud and that HE was the problem she then stated ours was the second complaint from him - regarding a different guest...and she said how they had plans in the work to fix the soundproofing issues with the whole complex. Following night after dinner we returned and decided to go to the bar for a nightcap we got a high top table but went over to the bartender to place our drink order she seemed put out definitely not pleasant.
Pros: Loved the location. On the water and walking distance to everything in newport. Good hotel to stay at with teenagers but truly just an average and little worn marriott on inside. Felt very 1980s needs lobby re do.
Cons: Hotel front desk seemed overwhelmed and a bit immature. Made promises could not and did not keep. Conceriege lounge was average -- staff not very attentive in there. Food and liquor would run out and go unnoticed by staff. Also had an odd smell.
After an impressive redesign, the Newport Marriott has set sail on a new chapter as one of the best hotels in Newport, Rhode Island. Nautical hints, from a boat-shaped front desk to ropes hanging over Skiff Bar, set the stage for the transformed experience at our harborfront hotel in Newport. Natural light floods the Greatroom lobby, a place to connect and unwind with free Wi-Fi and hand-crafted cocktails. In the exclusive M Club Lounge, a space to work, dine and recharge, the windows overlook the boat-filled harbor. At MainSail, enjoy the view and American fare or stop by the Skiff Bar to mingle on the outdoor terrace. Relax in our full service spa or get energized in our new Fitness Studio. Intuitively designed guest rooms feature platform beds and spa-like bathrooms with a granite countertop and walk-in shower. Explore historical mansions, Tennis Hall of Fame, beaches and vineyards near our Newport hotel. A destination for meetings and weddings, we offer 20,000 square feet of event space and catering.
Pros: The hotel was beautiful. The staff was very attentive and courteous. The location PERFECT you literally walked down Mary St and you were in the center of Thames couldn't have asked for a more convenient spot. The views from the roof deck were breath taking.
Pros: Newport is known for its mansions and opulence. The Vanderbuilt is a modern version of a big and beautiful home. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. You may very well feel like you are an Astor or Berwind. My favorite part is brunch in the Conservatory. The food is great and the room is just so pretty. Not my first stay and won't be my last.
The Vanderbilt Grace features a rooftop terrace and puts you just steps from Touro Synagogue. Guests can visit the spa to be pampered with deep-tissue massages, facials, or body treatments, and Muse, one of 2 restaurants, serves dinner. An indoor pool and a bar/lounge are offered, and rooms at this luxurious hotel have conveniences like refrigerators and microwaves.
Forty 1 North features a marina and puts you within a 15-minute walk of International Tennis Hall of Fame and Museum and Touro Synagogue. Guests can indulge in facials, then grab a bite to eat at one of the 2 restaurants. A bar/lounge and a garden are other highlights, and rooms at this luxurious hotel offer up nice touches like Tempur-Pedic beds with Frette Italian sheets.
Pros: This small facility ( 9 rooms) has an excellent location, adequate room size, very clean and well taken care of under the watchful and personally involved owner/manager who is a very friendly and accommodating guy. The rooms are spotless with nothing that is the least bit shabby or worn. Location is very close, (easily walked), to the very large Easton's Beach and the Cliff Walk and Newport. The small common area is loaded with food and drink throughout the day. Probably not good for rambunctious kids who need space to play in the facility. Highly recommended for a most pleasant stay.
Cons: Sometimes one can hear the people above walking around, but the patrons respect and enjoy Rhea's Inn. Not a big (fancy or not) hotel.
At Rhea's Inn By The Sea, you'll be just a 5-minute drive from International Tennis Hall of Fame and Museum and Touro Synagogue. Free perks include continental breakfast, WiFi, and self parking. Also, Beechwood Mansion and The Breakers are within a short drive.
Pros: Great complimentary breakfast and afternoon tea; cozy traditional decor; helpful and responsive staff
Cons: Thin walls and windows make the rooms noisy; TV is very small
Pros: The Inn was a great value. It is in the heart of downtown, right on the Main Street. You have access to the waterfront, shopping, restraraunts and bars. The city itself is just quaint. They serve high tea and desserts. It was so wonderful to have a snack available. Breakfast is included as well, and the selection was wonderful. I had read some other reviews as they mention the decor is outdated. I think they are going for that historical feel. It is not a modern hotel. For the money, plus all the add ons and location, you will not find a better value.
Pros: The daily breakfast is a very nice spread and the hotel is right in the middle of an area with tons of restaurants, shops and bars which was awesome. They also have a nice roof deck of you want to get away from the crowds for a bit.
For the price, I think this was a very good deal.
Cons: We're used to staying in hotels instead of inns, so the stairs were a bit of a surprise. Also, it would have been nice if we could have opened the windows as there was such a beautiful breeze, however the ac unit did work very well.
Pros: The location of this hotel was fantastic. We could walk to restaurants. The visitors center was close so that you could get both the local bus and the siggtseeing ones. The room was large and comfortable (refrigerator in room). Daily breakfast and afternoon tea were great - many choices.
Cons: No elevator
Pros: The location is great. Close to downtown activities.
Cons: Facility is dated, but it has its charm.
Pros: Location and staff, the english breakfast was so nice. Again, the location is awesome. Rooms are very roomy, and most important, they are clean.
Cons: No elevator but even that wasn't THAT bad. The price was high for the Inn. But it served us well and we moved on.
Americas Cup Inn features a rooftop terrace and puts you within a 5-minute walk of Touro Synagogue. Guests looking to stay active can check out the nearby hiking/biking trails, kayaking, and mountain biking, and free perks include WiFi and buffet breakfast daily between 8 AM and 10:30 AM. Also, International Tennis Hall of Fame and Museum and Beechwood Mansion are within a short drive.
Cons: Renovations of upper floors starting at 7am with hammering waking up guests on a holiday Monday...completely unnecessary, poor management.
Pros: Super nice staff. Clean. Comfortable beds. Good toiletry kit in bathroom. Good breakfast buffet, included with price of room, with nice comfortable seating area.
Cons: Wasn't the largest selection for breakfast - no donuts! - but great for the price of the room. And they did have make your own waffles! Coffee station also good.
Cons: Pillows are horrible and cheap

Pros: Great location. Enjoyed the visits with proprietors. They were helpful with local information and very accommodating.
Inn location near downtown worked very well for us. Beds comfortable.
Pros: The Inn was very clean, everything in the room worked fine. Towels were very plush, bed linens fine, clean and fresh. The Innkeepers were very hospitable, friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast terrific. 3rd floor deck overlooking Newport wonderful.
looking forward to a trip back for recreation instead of business
Pros: Great location, very nicely appointed common areas

Pros: Love the location and the DeWitt Tavern next door!
Our room with a fireplace was lovely.

Our 40 rooms and suites are decorated in contemporary, colonial style, many with breathtaking sunset views. It is ideally located near Bristols popular boutique shops, restaurants and nightlife.
Pros: Mostly quiet, except the party that came in at 3 am. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Decent pool and hot tub, both of which seemed clean. Decent fitness facility that was also clean. LOVE that they have recycle containers in addition to the trash cans in their rooms.
Towels and beds were ok. TV channel options were ok. Worked well for a weekend away.
Continental breakfast is not deluxe, but was fine. Runs the gamut from hard boiled eggs to yogurt to bagels and cereal.
Cons: I didn't like the ventilation system that is set up to always be on - it's great generally, but doesn't get rid of bathroom odors quickly and also means that when someone smokes near the intake, everyone gets to smell it (unless it was someone in a downwind bathroom smoking). Got to smell strong cigarette smoke one night and morning, so it was probably a guest given that we stayed 4 nights and were only affected for one of them.
Pros: The lobby and common interior areas are very clean and well kept. The lobby is modern and recently renovated. Regular selection of continental breakfast. Cookies at the check-in counter! Best of all, pet friendly. For a very reasonable per night, per pet fee of $12 you can bring your pet with you. If you do bring a pet, they put you at the very back of the hotel (it's a very long/deep hotel) and on the ground floor with a walkout sliding door. It's very convenient. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly. I can't speak for the other non-pet friendly rooms, but ours was a bit dated. Clean, but old. No issues though since it was so clean.
Cons: An updated pet friendly room is the only thing I would suggest to improve, although the cleanliness made up for the outdated room.
Pros: It was very affordable and the rooms are super nice. The location is perfect and the pet policy is ideal for our furry friends. Also, my girlfriend loved the daily cookies at the front desk. Exceeded all of my expectations.
Pros: Pet-friendly hotel with very clean rooms. The room was big and even had a dehumidifyer. The pool, jacuzzi and sauna were very clean. Can't beat it for the price. Just 2 miles from downtown Newport.
Pros: The hotel was good.. It had comfortable beds, the bathroom was adequate, a bit dated in facilities, but still very usable. Location was excellent and the staff was very kind and helpful. Pet friendly which is good too.
Pros: I appreciated the cleanliness and customer service.
Pros: The staff, big rooms, fridge, microwave in room
Pros: Rooms were comfortable. Staff was friendly and efficient. Good value and good location. Would stay there again.
Cons: I have no complaints.

Pros: The people working there are very nice. Constantly opening doors etc.
Cons: Sneaky hidden "resort" fee. This is NOT a resort. If you're going to tack on an extra $50 at check out that you hid from your fees then you need to have much nicer facilities. The workout room was small. The pool had carpet around it and was too cold to use. The beds were VERY creaky and could be heard all night long when the people upstairs got out of bed to use the restroom etc. the rooms were clean enough, not super, but I wouldn't put my baby in that bathtub that's for sure.
Pros: The Viking Hotel is in a perfect location. You can walk to all of the attractions. The staff was courteous and took care of all of our needs.
Cons: The bathroom was tiny.
Pros: Great location and luxury appeal.
Cons: Seems that the luxury only goes to the higher end rooms and more public places. The public bathroom in the hotel was 3 times more amazing than the one in our room.
Pros: Location was great, close to shopping and Downtown.
Cons: Requested a king size bed, but got a queen sized bed. There were only 2 queen rooms, and we got one b/c of our length of stay?? Sink did not drain the first day, but was fixed. There was no electrical outlet in the bathroom, had to use the hairdryer out in the bedroom, but had to plug it in under the desk, so I was not able to stand and dry my hair. Wallpaper in the bathroom was lifting.
The bed was not comfortable. Advertised that there were pillow top mattresses, ours was definitely not a pillow top and it was quite flat. There was no refrigerator in the room, coffee maker was old and outdated. I have been in far cheaper rooms that provided a keurig and nicer coffee provisions. Powdered creamer in a packet was gross.
Overall, it was fairly disappointing for the $500.00 per night rate.
Pros: I thought the staff was very friendly. There was an upbeat vibe in lobby. The location was great. Easy to walk everywhere from the hotel.
Cons: Didn't like that I had to valet park my car. My final bill was $130 more than I agreed to because of extra fees. There was an extra resort fee and the parking was expensive. Mattress was very old and uncomfortable.
Pros: This is a lovely hotel in the middle of a historic district with an easy walk to shops and restaurants. Hotel staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs. We had a great time in Newport.
Cons: All the extra charges. There is an extra $35 nite fee for parking. That should be included for people who stay.
Pros: Excellent location near action in Newport. Pleasant old hotel ambiance, though most of hotel is 1960's construction, well disguised behind original hotel facade.
Cons: Parking fee extreme ($35 per day about 25% of room rate). Tub in room was nasty, no one would consider soaking in it, ok for shower. Wall behind tile in shower clearly water damaged with tile buckling and uneven with stained grout. No doubt hiding serious mold problem behind tile. Not so serious that I thought I needed flip flops for shower, but clearly showing neglect.
Pros: Beautiful suite with a walk-in shower and bear-clawed tub, nice views and a friendly, professional staff.
Cons: Not replacing the in-room coffee and the $35 a day valet parking are little things that irritate.
Pros: Very close/walkable to all.
Cons: Hidden costs - parking, facilities.... Its an additional $15 a day for each. This is not clear in the post.
Pros: The staff was amazing!!! Joe carried my bags to my room and could not have been more of a pleasure to talk with. I was heading into town for a girls night out and instead of calling me a cab the hotel drove me to my destination! It made my whole night much more relaxing and stress free. Also, the pillows were insanely comfortable. When I checked out I immediately went and bought all new pillows for my bed at home. I was so inspired by my wonderful night's sleep...
Pros: I stayed here in November when rates are certainly lower. Hotel was excellent value, great service, good food, very nice facility.
Cons: The hidden fees for parking and "resort fee" are a bit annoying.

Pros: Front desk is extremely friendly and helpful.
Price was reasonable.
Food package given on entry.
Cons: I decided to get of of town for a night and this sounded like a cute little spot to stay. When I showed up it was a very different story! It was very dingy. When I got to my room I was very upset because it seemed very unsafe. The only lock it had was a low quality deadbolt, which was loose, and I could see outside. no chain lock or lock on the door knob itself. Im very petite and I feel like I could have pushed that door down if I really tried. I felt too unsafe and I had to leave. The person at the desk was gone for the day and there was a number to call if you needed to contact someone. Every very time I tried to call, no one answered. I asked for a refund and no one ever got back to me. Extremely disappointed.
Pros: The owner gave my son a "Goody Bag" filled with snacks and candies - that was a surprise.
Cons: The facility is old, and really can use updates.

Cons: - Hairdryer didn't work
- Cobwebs in the corners of the room
- 2 spiders above the shower
- Extremely Noisey
- Bath towels had stains
Pros: quiet,clean,very comfy
Pros: Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel was very quaint and rooms and bathrooms were spacious and clean.
Cons: The continental breakfast could use some revamping, or just a neater set up.
