Pros. The size of the room was great.
Cons. Hotel wasn't staffed - had to drive across Whistler to check-in. Pool is closed because it (and a lot of the hotel) is under construction. The hallway to my room looked like it had been saran wrapped to protect everything from the construction. Very loud hammering throughout the day, and construction dust was seeping into my room. You could almost taste it, like they were doing tile work or grouting or something like that. Hot water was really slow to the shower, so turn it on 15 mins before you intend to get in. I would've loved to try and switch rooms to a floor with less construction, but like I said, the hotel isn't staffed.
Pros. Hotel was a really incredible deal- out of the way which I liked but other would probably want to be closer to the hussle. Great area for kids activities, best donuts down the path at Portebello. Mountain biking paths and skate park are really close. The hotel was clean and the room had more amenities and space than ever expected. Very very happy with the experience.
Cons. The hot tub and pool were closed which was probably apart of the deal- the gym isn't a gym it's a treadmill, paid daily underground parking which was a pain and there is only front desk staff on during some day hours. We checked in late and had to run to a different place to do it. Understandable but annoying.
