2 locations in Whistler
Pros:Staff was great!
Cons:Hours of operation (pick up times)
8.0 Very good
Pros:I was able to return the rental car to a location one block away from the hotel I was staying in and did not have to travel to a further location.
Pros:We were able to upgrade to a van, and they gave us a discount! The pickup was a lot faster than last time, it was efficient, even though we were a little early! The lady at the desk was nice and friendly.
Cons:I tried calling to confirm the reservation the day before. I called 5 times - once I was told they'd call me back and they never did. I called 3 more times and no one answered. The last time, they put me on hold for 20 minutes, and I had to hang up before someone got to me because I had an appointment.
8.8 Very good
Pros:Even though we showed up early, they did all that they could to accommodate us, despite having a limited number of cars available. Employees were very friendly. The car was very modern and nice.
Cons:There was a problem with our reservation. We booked 1 car from Vancouver to Whistler, and then another car 4 days later from Whistler to Vancouver. It however registered as 2 cars from Vancouver to Whistler, so we had to clear that up when picking up the first car. We booked a small car, but got a van. We however understand that the movement of Avis cars across the country don't always allow for the wanted type of car to be at the wanted location on the desired date. A van still worked out ok.
8.8 Very good
Pros:The dropoff was done fast, we didn't have to wait long!
Cons:There is no Avis sign outside the building, so we drove around the place for a while, unable to find it. We eventually called, and the lady explained that we had to park at the hotel, and there was a counter inside. It was a little confusing.
Pros:Better than last experience.
Cons:Guy showed up late.
Pros:Luis was very prompt and helpful in picking me up, and providing options when the car I'd booked had not been returned by the previous renter.
Pros:The pick up and drop off service went smoothly and quickly. We usually expect to be held up for some reason or another, so pleasantly surprised that this wasn’t the case.
Pros:The car was good economy and practical. everyone was good to deal with on both ends
Cons:it wasnt very clean when i picked it up. The cost to drop off at a different location
8.4 Very good
Cons:I found it very sketchy that Hertz, knowing I was travelling to Whistler, did not mention upgrading to winter tires. Shame on me for assuming they would. I found myself in very dangerous driving conditions. I feel like potential money, rather than my safety, was their priority. No more Hertz!
Pros:Friendly staff, well-maintained vehicle, reasonable price.
8.0 Very good
Pros:Friendly guy and no problems when picking up and dropping off. Price was as advertised.
Cons:Only issue was I noticed the front left tire was soft after I picked it up. I had to stop into a garage and top it up. 5 min job so not too worried but not ideal.
Pros:Staff super friendly. Drop off was easy.
Cons:More space at the North Vancouver location. Crowded. Hard to socially distance.
Pros:The person who checked me in was very helpful and thorough.
Cons:The check-in people noticed damage on the car right away that was already there when I rented the car. Until I produced the damage slip, they make a big deal of it.
Pros:Generally very satisfied.
Cons:I missed more options for selecting insurance. Having possibility to increase access/decrease price or vice versa would be appreciated.
Pros:Very nice and clean car. Excellent condition, perfect for my needs. Great value on price
Pros:Great vehicle, excellent staff - they are tespectful and helpful.
Cons:car was not cleaned.
