The head rest was broken.The entertainment screen did not work at all but was still on, so I had a dark but illuminated screen shining at me the whole time that I could not turn off. A very long flight in which I could not sleep and was in a lot of pain. Hands down the worst flight I've ever been on."

Flight seemed to have run out meals since a random third person in my row requested an extra meal and was told they were out. Flight etiquette of other passengers would have been nice; for example, it was also fairly unsafe for a father and child to keep walking up and down the aisles, let alone the bumping into people they kept doing."

Pros: "We flew Air Canada’s Economy Plus from Vancouver to Sydney and Air New Zealand’s Economy Plus from Auckland back to Vancouver. NZ’s Economy Plus product is far and above AC’s. Everything from the welcome, to the meal, to the level of service is great. I really felt that NZ treated the Econ Plus cabin as distinct from Economy (including having 2 dedicated washrooms), whereas on AC it felt like we were merely Economy with better seats. I compare NZ and AC because we were so genuinely impressed with what we purchased. We would definitely book NZ Econ Plus again, and the January seat sale is a great time to do so!"

Cons: "We were booked on a 7 a.m. flight Wednesday morning. We arrived from Syndney the night before and wanted to make sure we were set for the early morning flight so went to an Air NZ information desk to get boarding pass. The agent printed out an e-ticket and said we were good to go. We arrived an hour and a half early to the gate, with our carry on bags as we have done all over the world. We heard an announcement about bags needing to be checked and assumed ours would be gate checked if needed (as anywhere else in the world). The gate agent didn't arrive til 20 minutes before the flight and told us we DIDN'T have a boarding pass and needed to return to the ticket agent and check our bags. By the time we ran back to the ticket agent we were told it was too late to check our bags. We had to pay $100 more a piece to fly LATER through Christ Church. We were on our way to meet our kids for vacation and ended up losing a day and $200 additional dollars because we were given inaccurate information by the Air New Zealand info desk."

The front desk asked me to try other ways when I arrived LA to see what can be done. When I entered into the gate, your CS changed my flight to UA after I have presented my case. However, I had to pull the suitcase out from Alaska, paid another $25 to United and started the trip all over again. All the while, your crews expected me (an alien from Asia) that I should have known every thing get it through, or to claim my suitcase charges. I am really disappointed for the lack of understanding. To you, it may be something happened so common everyday. To me, I was totally lost to handle this."

That experience alone made the flight a dud. All I can say is, thank heavens it was a short flight."

I wanted to leave a day early and called delta to see how much it would be, the guy said it would be $250 to change my flight which I then said is way more than I can afford. He asked why I wanted to change it and I told him my situation and he said hold on and would talk to a surpervisor. They completely waived my fee and only charged me $40. I cried tears of joy. Thank you delta for going above and beyond and caring about your customers!"

Cons: "On the run way for 1 hour in line to take off"
Cons: "Purchased these tickets over a month ago and I was never able to select my seats. I am a Delta frequent flier, and despite logging on and checking in, was told at the airport counter that I would be assigned a seat at the gate. Of course we were assigned to the last row of the antiquated MD 88, right next to one of the engines. As if the lack of reclining seats was bad enough, the engine noise and vibration was almost unbearable on the flight that was delayed one hour on the Tarmac. The crew was understanding and we did get to Orlando safely...a big plus."

Cons: "Charging customers for meals on a transatlantic flight is a terrible way to nickel and dime your customers for the most basic provisions. Not all travellers carry accepted credit cards, including the woman sitting beside me. Because it is so common (formally standardized) for airlines to provide food on longer flights, many travellers assume their WestJet flight will the same and arrive unprepared. I normally love WestJet for their customer service, but these flight attendants talked down to customers with legitimate questions. I am choosing another airline for my next international flight, although reluctantly so - I hope to see some changes from WestJet for a more comfortable flight."

Cons: "Checking in was horrible. I stood in line while many of the agents kept chatting with each other. Then when they finally noticed that I was still standing there 2 of them waved at me. The agent who checked me in acted like I was inconveniencing her, she had a really bad attitude."

Pros: "Thankfully our flight wasn't 100% full. Our baby got a seat to herself, which allowed her to sleep the whole trip, ans my legs didn't fall asleep from her weight. Blessing! The staff were very accomodating and friendly for parents travelling with young children."
Cons: "Internet was down so not entertainment whatsoever. Planes of any size or length of travel should have at least a few tv's so we can watch something to pass the time. Cookies are surprisingly delicious, but your choice between pretzels and cookies are very limiting (and boring). Another option would be much loved."
Cons: "Let me see, waited over an hour for a flight to catch up from Ottawa. Now flight to Vancouver over an hour late, gets in about 10 minutes before flight to Hong Kong leaves. So they say will wait for us as flight not full. Nope, flight leaves without 7 of us. Got the " don't know what happened" look. So they give us a $60 dollar food voucher, and take us to hotel because now must wait 12 hours for next flight. Tell us to be in lobby at a certain time to catch shuttle back to airport. Time comes, sorry no room, and buggers off. They call taxis, when drivers find drive for vouchers, tell us to load own baggage! Not likely to fly West Jet again."

Cons: "on our westjet to Puerto Vallarta the air conditioning vent above my brother's seat dripped all over him. on the trip back the screen on the back of the seat in front of my other brother didn't work so we had to share. not terrible, but a little annoying considering the amount we pay for tickets."

Cons: "I'm a bit disappointed by the services provided by Westjet: 1) I never received the confirmation of my fight/booking from Westjet; 2) I was not aware that the connecting from LA to SJ and SJ to LA were operated by different companies therefore I was not able to check in or even to check the gate information at the airport. I almost missed my flight from SJ to LA in the early morning 3) at the SJ airport, I was not aware that the flight from SJ to LA was operated by Delta not American airline. However, the Westjet customer services 1-888 number listed in your Kayak confirmation was not a correct number. I even tried to look up another customer services number of Westjet by searching the Westjet website, the number I found was not in service neither. I almost missed my flight from SJ to LA 4) At the LA airport I was told that I was not able to board the flight because I did not have the Canadian ETA. they said they would pull my checked luggages and flight them with my re-scheduled flight and will be shipped to the final destination Vancouver, Canada. when I arrived Vancouver, both suitcases were not arrived with my flight. One arrived with my original flight and the second were missing. The agent could not even tell me where the suitcase was. Moreover, the second did not arrive the time I was told it should arrive. My second suitcase was not allocated even before I left Vancouver to Europe one day after my travel. 5) No one responded to the luggage services number provided in the document. I could only successfully login to the link for the checking the status after I returned home in Brussels. 6) I was told that the second suitcase will be delivered to my home in Europe by another company. Currently I'm still waiting for my second suitcase."

We told her to take at least this bag with tag she said bring both. Then worst luck, machine I went was out of tag paper so, went to the line again and other side of lady said I don't have the system for bag who have tag on it so she sent us to the other side that girl(same) again said I can take only one with already tag on it You will have to go to the center lane girl (third) now that girl said boarding is already started you might not get you baggage in this flight you will have to wait 2 hours. Like we had our classes as soon as we were reaching yvr. They wasted almost half an hour by sending us back and forth at yyc. I don't understand the fact that how a baggage with tag printed by the employees will be on same flight and baggage with the tag printed by us will be on next flight although we gave both bags at the same time. How stupid is this? I hope not to face this problem again in future."

I am just thankful my husband noticed the day before we got to the airport to come home as the flight was totally booked."

What is this, Ryanair. No coupons or anything for them being so late, and we were moved to different seats. STAY AWAY FROM WESTJET. Never flying with them again ever."

Pros: "I am Military so you will undert Atand when I say I travel a lot. Westjet offers free checked bags for Military. Everyone down the line acts like they are interested in you as the customer. Line they know you, the customer, is why thier business exists. The seats even had plugs to charge devices rather that screens and thier in-flight app had all the content you normally get from the screen. That is a simple and cost efficient way to solve in flight entertainment. Everyone is already carrying a good screen with them, or several. Why provide one?"

At the boarding gate West Jet indcated they needed a different form(cardboard) , but they split up our party of three into three different locations. Never will I fly West Jet again and will tell others thinnking of doing so what they did to us. The flight itself was O.K."

I was charged $9 for an extremely small shepherd's pie (bc they didn't have the other 2 meals that I asked for first). Guests were only offered coffee, tea or water and had to pay extra for soda, juice, etc. The flight attendants seemed annoyed any time someone turned on the light to request their attention, yet they did not scan the aisles often at all. I also have had free headphones on most flights I've ever taken, yet was charged $3.50 for horrible headphones (they had $10 and $30 options as well but I wasn't about to spend that). On my 9 hour flight to Europe on different airline, I received 2 free meals, snack, free wine and was offered soda/juice/etc and free headphones."

Cons: "Typical of American, passengers are not allowed to stand for long periods. I was initially very disappointed that it was not a Qantas flt. And had it been full, it would have been very unpleasant. I fly with American as little as possible. The 777-300 does not have the area in the back where a few can stand, but in this case, with all the room, it wasn't necessary. I was standing for just a minute, and was told to move on. That's American for you."

We made it to the gate on time but then the flight was delayed an hour. When we finally went to board, we found out. They put us on the flight but luggage didn't make it. Overall, a very avoidable situation."

Most importantly we all missed that our roll-on bags wouldn’t fight in the overhead bins. As a result many people pulled their bags on and fought and struggled to force their luggage above, only to give up. The on-board agents recognized early the problem and then proceeded to allow many other passengers to stroll by them with their large roll-on bags, only to delay the boarding process and frustrate everyone. When making their safety announcement the flight attendant was clearly competing for fastest speaking human and rushed through at blazing speeds. In all my 30+ years of travel, I’ve never heard anything like it."

Pros: "Considering the price we paid for our tickets is the the only drawback I keep coming back to when I think about the VALUE of what I paid for.the entire flight. The overall experience was good throughout; from the airport on both ends of the journey to the actual inflight experience. I'm not sure how much of an influence the airline has on the airport part of it all, but the check-in process was good. The self check-in machines for AA were a little "buggy" and difficult to navigate but helpful staff was readily available as were the short lines. I am 6'2" and was impressed that I had adequate leg room in my seat."

Our party of three, which was husband and wife plus friend, were all seated separately. We could have opted for "pay extra" seating, but even that did not get us together, so we opted out."

We entered our passport info including our expiration dates and we’re given no warning. We even had our boarding passes prior to showing up at the airport. We will not use Kayak in the future and will book direct through the airline moving forward."
Cons: "charged a surprise of $175 for my third bag although Kayak mentioned i should be charged $75 at the time of booking. AA says it is due to Jordanyan Airlines, why was I surprised by this extra charge?!"

Streaming movies is still of a mystery to me, not an intuitive experience in any sense of the word. the sites AA provides to answer one's questions don't give any real guidance on 'how', just state what, kept pointing me to the app which doesn't have any menu item to view movies. took me well over ten minutes to find any helpful information."

Cons: "Deplaning at an inconvenient remote terminal with unattractive and minimal facilities, which involved waiting in a long line for a series of buses for transport to the main terminal. Arrival at the main terminal required climbing a flight of stairs. No in-flight food service offered except a choice between one cookie or one cracker."
Cons: "I am very frustrated that a single part could not be located in the early afternoon to allow the plane to fly. I will be late again for work and it seems to be American Airlines and not Delta that has all the delays or is late."

I'm thinking the airline shouldn't book the front seats by the panel as 'better' for the extra price as they were definitely not."
