The ocation was good but hard to find The staff were not very friendly and when we arrived we had to get housekeeping up to clean the toilet, there was crusted grim under the rim, hey did fix as soon as we asked but it was obvious that it had been there for some time. On his I would not recommend

Wasn't to pleased with room it said deluxe, wasn't very deluxe to me. Breakfast was awful think it was cooked in deep fat drier.won't be staying again. Breakfast and room

Central location! Right in the middle of all pubs and restaurants. Spacious room Shower was interesting, though flooding bathroom was easy to do. Breakfast not included and £7 for continental so didnt bother

Courtesy and friendliness of staff was very good

An Ibis is an Ibis. Cheap internet/tv/movie package. Police presence in reception for most of the evening provided extra security! An unfortunate incident in the bar led to the bar being closed early and the opportunity to spend some time with half the Cumbrian Police force discussing the merits of policing such an area whilst their colleagues dealt with the incident.

The quality of the food and wine in the bar area was of a lower standard than we expected

nice well planned room. good reception and dining room staff. good pool and health centre. had to step out in rain to reach main part of hotel from room.

Everything would have been good except there was a wedding on and the noise kept us awake till gone midnight. Our room was directly over the reception and it would have been better if we were elsewhere in the hotel.

Friendly and obliging Room very clean with nice outlook. Hotel built in 1666 full of character. Shortage of clothes hangers and and usable surfaces No drinking glasses in the en-suite

The setting was great- it looked lovely from the outside. The room we had was lovely- nice big comfy bed and modern bathroom. Service at check in / out & restaurant was efficent and friendly. A wedding was on the night we stayed. Bit noisy and we were not able to access the lounge with the fire, which we had been looking forward to using. I think we should of been advised of a wedding being on when we booked.We were the only people having dinner, so the atmosphere in the restaurant was very flat.

We both enjoyed our stay. It was a bit to quiet not many other people there.
