10.0 Excellent
Pros: I don't really want to comment as I really wish to keep this place a romantic secret, but that would be unfair. The setting, surrounds, and house were all gorgeous. We were here for only a quick stop-over but quickly decided that we would both come back and spend more time here as the room (or should I say suite) was luxurious, breakfast was an absolute treat, (double yolk free range eggs), fresh fruit and juices. We felt like a king and queen sitting in breakfast over-looking the beautiful gardens. Les and Sarah were attentive hosts and we wanted for nothing.

Our room was really nice with a lovely en-suite which had a variety of toiletries, and the choice of teas and coffees was very good. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so pleasant.

Cons: none
7.1 Good
Pros: Breakfast excellent. Being able to have window open. Private bath. Kitchen with fridge to store fresh milk.
Cons: Bit noisy due to traffic. Room a bit small compared to Premier Inns where we often stay and some other B&B. Private bathroom across the corridor but we knew this and opted for it as we like to have a bath rather than a shower. The loo roll holder fell off the wall and seemed to be secured with blue tack. From a safety point of view it would be better if it was not possible to lock yourself in bathroom with key....the notice alerted us to this but might not be understood by someone whose first language was not English.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was fine but we thought 6.30 pm was rather early to finish serving meals. Site seemed an interesting combination of facilities but unfortunately we didn't have time to look around it'
Cons: Having the toilet facilities across the corridor was rather disconcerting, especially for those of us who may wake up in the night and need to use them urgently.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast and friendly staff
Cons: Very out dated needs a complete makeover furniture old and pillows lumpy. Required a good clean

Pros: Fantastic service received. Me and my friend arrived late around 8.45pm, after they had stopped serving dinner. The lady managed to cook us a delicious pizza and also chips. Breakfast is usually served at 7.30am, however we had to be at Oulton Park for 7am, not a problem for our host who managed to get us sandwiches, breakfast bar, fruit, drink and crisps, ready for us before we left. Location is excellent for Oulton Park and the service is impeccable. Would definitely recommend.

Pros: The room was clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed and sofa. The banana pancakes with homemade jam were simple but absolutely delicious. Host Mungo was prompt and helpful in addressing any queries or requests. Beautiful house packed with character. Looking at other reviews I see some people have commented on the slightly wild and unconventional appearance of the house and grounds. It's true that if you're used to corporate hotels chains then you may be a little disoriented at first but talk to Mungo and it's clear from his passion that this is a family home and a labour of love with much thought behind it.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Fabulous, manor House. Very clean. Very good food and friendly staff that go the extra mile.
6.3 Good
Pros: The food was great and the maitre D' both engaging and funny. Breakfast was also great here.
Cons: For £180 BnB we expected a lot from Willington Hall. At arrival we waited 10 minutes to check in, they hadn't informed us when we booked that there would be a "After Wedding Party" which happened outside our room on the patio, lasted until 12, with guests staggering to bed at 1-15am very drunk. The same girl that checked us in, served us at the bar, well asked for our order and then disappeared and never came back. Food was great, the Maitre D' was great fun, unfortunately the same girl then checked us out, never asked about our stay and zero formalities. Poor

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The friendly, helpful staff (who kindly lent me an iron and ironing board!). The restaurant and bar facilities and the excellent breakfast. Modern and open downstairs areas. Central location in the town.
Cons: The rooms are well equipped, comfortable and very clean but pretty small with no wardrobe space. So fine for one or two nights but if staying longer I would need more space.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfasts were brilliant. An excellent variety of options. I particularly enjoyed the smoked salmon, avocado and poached eggs on sourdough toast. My only comment would be to provide the excellent pancakes with the maple syrup on the side in a jug as I found it too sweet for my taste with the amount already poured on.
Cons: Nothing I didn't like. Just one suggestion: it would be good to have a handrail provided on the wall above the bath/shower as I'm quite short and it would have made getting in and out of the bath easier (when using the shower).
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Room was nice and well presented with good facilities for a single room.
Cons: Had better breakfasts at cheaper places and with it being sited on a busy high street was a bit noisy.

Pros: After walking Frodsham to Tarporley (14miles)along the Sandstone trail I was amazed to see a bath in the room. And the “Brucie”bonus bath salts. Well done Swan hotel. And all for £65

Pros: The place is very modern downstairs fresh and up to date upstairs very tired decor however beds where very fresh and spotless ... comfortable.. i stayed alone but paid for double room for 2 occupants.. but did discuss someone joining me for breakfast the following morning which was ok with manager.. but the breakfast was set up nicely but not cooked bacon half raw toast white black pudding cold and uncooked .. and the chefs answer to our raw bacon and sausage was to put it in deep fat fryer.. then waitress proceeded to charge for my friends breakfast claiming he was not a resident ..

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent stay. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Hotel/pub very well maintained inside and out. Also very clean and tidy. Room facilities perfectly good for an overnight stay and located in converted outbuilding. Food very good both dinner and breakfast. Everything cooked to order using good quality ingredients and served in generous portions. Good value also. Bar and taproom full of character with a range of beers and ciders. Rural location excellent with a large car park and only 20 minutes from Manchester Airport.
Cons: Very minor point - due to rooms being in converted characterful outbuildings floorboards creaky from room above.
6.0 Good
Pros: Friendly staff, good pub food
Cons: The bedrooms could do with total make over! Very 70's not very nice at all.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Food was amazing
Cons: Just needs a bit updating. Very clean though.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We were staying one night on the way up to Scotland. The evening meal and breakfast were great and plentiful. We had one of the rooms in the Granary, which was comfortable. I personally prefer a firm mattress, and the bed was a little soft for my liking, but this didn't spoil the stay. Would stay again if in the area.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff and competitive priced food.
Cons: Single room price was quite high in comparison to double occupancy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good clean bright room with a comfy bed. Some of the rooms are up a flight of stone steps then some stairs, so worth pointing out when booking if you have any mobility problems. Tea making facilities in the room. Evening meal was very good. You won't need a starter if you have the mixed grill! The tiny bar has a great atmosphere in the evening.
Cons: The only criticism is that, despite being asked what time we intended to have breakfast, and turning up on time, the sausages and bacon had been kept in a warmer for some time and were hard.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Oldie worldie
Cons: Room was a bit cold. Cobwebs on cieling
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great welcome, marvellous accommodstion and a great boost to us on our Lands End to John O Groats quest. A really comfortable place and really central for a good look round.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff were all lovely people, hope I get a chance to go back.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: They made a pint of Carlsberg drinkable and very enjoyable which is a miracle in itself and speaks volumes to the cleanliness of the place. Very polite and pleasant staff and great food, bed was comfortable, clean room and easy to find from the M6.
Cons: No skysports but this is the only bad point, but also it isnt that type of pub and in fairness to the owners, they dont really want me and my mates drunk watching the football as it would ruin the atmosphere for the pub.

7.0 Good
Pros: Nice location, friendly staff, clean room/building and good value for money. Restaurant service was good and food was nice. Nice atmosphere in the bar.
Cons: The shower ran hot and cold while you were in it. I would have liked an iron in the room. My bedroom door lock seemed damaged and I think this caused it to rattle everytime someone walked past.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely family run B & B. Large room with large bathroom. Plenty of storage space and large comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious. Situated on the edge of the countryside and our room had great views over the fields.
Cons: nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: The hotel was clean and pleasant to sit around for drink. Rooms are clean and well maintained apart from the water. Breakfast was nice and reasonable price. Dinner in the bar was relaxed and well cooked.
Cons: Main problem, was very low water pressure when showering in the morning, as we were at the end in rooms 14 and 11. You need to either be up by 6.30 or wait until after 10.00 otherwise shower doors not work. Rooms also close too the main road so there is traffic noise during the rush hour. Unless you don't mind a walk, it's a bit from from town centre, but we were using the train only problem their is its only and hourly service.
5.0 Okay
Pros: It was a fab location and looked nice from the outside
Cons: When I arrived for check in at 14.05 pm I was informed that as there were no facilities for an early check out I should just leave when I was ready and leave the key in my room , I was also disappointed that my room wasn’t ready as they had “been Busy “ so I had to wait until 14.30 pm before I could go in . Also as I realized that I had left something in my car at 12.15 am I tried to go out to get it - I couldn’t get out as the exits were locked and alarmed from 12.00 am- 8.00 am so I had a panic finding the only night entrance / exit which had not been explained to me earlier .
7.5 Good
Pros: It’s cosyness and ambience
Cons: Extractor fan in bathroom was filthy and black stuff kept falling out of it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good food, very pleasant staff, comfortable accommodation. Second time we had stayed.
Cons: Nothing very comfortable
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A beautifully-restored historic coach house hotel on the outskirts of Northwich. A great gastro pub with comprehensive and good value menu. Good array of beers. Friendly staff.
3.0 Mediocre
Cons: Noise from kitchen fans all night, poor attention from staff, hot tap in bathroom not operative, medium breakfast.

Pros: Nice cooked breakfast would of liked more choice for a friend who had celiac
Cons: Dident like the small n next to the goats cheese starter , as I have a nut allergy , and it dident say the goats cheese was coated in walnuts !!! This could prove very dangerous ,
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Spacious, stylish and comfortable rooms. Good choice at breakfast
Cons: Nothing, very comfortable
7.5 Good
Pros: Room very comfortable and had s great night’s sleep in a really comfy king size bed.
Cons: Let down by out of date ‘fresh’ milk in the room.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The walk in shower ... Bath Robes the coffee at breakfast
Cons: We stayed in the suite for 1 night Saturday to Sunday 8th -9th Sept18 for our 23rd Wedding Anniversary. The room was freezing when we arrived and Kia on Reception did try to increase the heating, but it was never cozy.... The room is advertised as having a bath.. It had NO BATH, but a walk in Shower, which was disappointing.. The suite at the front is right over the bar... the music was on until 1am !! We were hoping for a quiet morning, and then at 8am SUNDAY..! the music was back on...! Its just the little things and the attention to detail that makes the difference and makes a place stand out or just be an expensive night away where you feel its not value for money..! From the information folder( Cheap and not competed, and bits missing) - tea and coffee... rubbish - no biscuits-... etc... !! We ordered two No32 Breakfast's... Why would you serve overdone bacon and a Hard Poached egg..!!!! I asked for another egg, which was cooked perfectly, why was it not like this the 1st time... ? We will not be returning, which is shame as were looking forward to our Wedding Anniversary night away to be something special.. ! THE BREAKFAST IS EXTRA AND NOT INCLUDED WHICH IS SHOCKING BASED ON THE PRICE OF THE ROOM FOR ONE NIGHT.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All the food was well presented and plenty of it. The staff were all very pleasant - smiling and always ready to listen and help. The hotel was well appointed having only been open for 8 months. It was very smart without being 'over the top' in its presentation. We would certainly recommend it and plan to return when we can.
Cons: Our only comment here would be that the room was too warm for us, but when we mentioned this to the staff they put it down to an acceptable level for our taste straight away.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel and restaurant is beautifully decorated, all the staff were more than pleasant particularly Simon.. Evening dinner was excellent, so was breakfast. Apart from the minor issues mentioned, this really is a fantastic hotel and restaurant.
Cons: Stayed in the suite but I was woken by a lot of noise from about 5.30am. Someone moved /emptying bins. There was also extractor fan noise all night long. Finally.. House spiders in my bathroom and actually in my bath towel.. Hate them...
10.0 Excellent
