Sadlers Guest House - Winnersh - Building
2
9.8 Excellent (91 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Sadlers Guest House in Wokingham, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Madejski Stadium and University of Reading. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: An excellent B&B. As the property was not full, we were upgraded to a better room which was very satisfactory. Very accommodating and helpful proprietor. Really everything you were likely to need was provided in the room we occupied. A good selection of food was offered for breakfast.
Cons: The only omission was that the proprietor forgot to put any milk in our room for our tea/coffee, but anybody can overlook something. As with most smaller B&Bs, the proprietor is not always on the premises (they naturally have their own private lives to live), and hence if there is an omission, it can't always be easily fixed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hostess, lovely comfy bed, breakfast delicious!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Warm welcome, nice room, very good breakfast, easy to find location with navi system. Nice Pub within 15 minutes walk with good food (recommended by owner). Quiet room facing garden, nice view into garden.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved meeting Bob and Nancy and very much hope to catch up with them again someday. Nothing was too much trouble. We were fussed over and we loved it! Breakfast service is extraordinary , probably the best we have encountered in any B&B ever. They deserve every success and Bob if you are listening, look after that knee!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole experience was excellent. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and it was very well presented. On the whole we were made very welcome.
Cons: We would have preferred an en-suite bathroom, but the one we had was very close to our room, and it was spotless.
9.5 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The setting of the hotel
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was lovely, overlooking a grassy field with rabbits. We had a patio door with a little table and chairs and access straight onto the beautiful grounds. We had our wedding reception here 25 years ago so was lovely to re-visit. The food was great and staff were happy to show us around and tell us about the changes in the hotel.
Cons: The continental breakfast was a little disappointing. There wasn’t a great selection of fresh fruit for instance. I didn’t have the cooked option though so that may have been a better choice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were all friendly and helpful. They advised of places to eat locally if we didn't want eat in the hotel. Rooms were clean and well appointed. The food was excellent and the bar staff and waitress knowledgable about availability.

Pros: Great selection of dvds to use
Cons: I booked a double room but when I arrived I had a single room but it was the same price. I didn’t feel it was good value. Very expensive
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Amazing place to stay
Cons: There was nothing not to like
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderfully friendly and welcoming host. Spotlessly clean rooms with excellent facilities. I will become a regular here on my visits to Berkshire. The rural, country location is a big bonus. Highly recommended.
Cons: Absolutely nothing to dislike.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Valerie, the proprietor, is very professional and thoughtful. Breakfast is a feast and its quality is comparable to any five star hotel I had stayed in (even better fruit quality). The room is very comfortable. She provides high quality brand toiletries and plush towels. The coffee/tea/biscuits/nuts that are complimentary are also high quality products. Bed is very comfortable. Everything is spotless. Location is 40-min drive from Heathrow with a gas station on the way. It is perfect for those with car rental and morning flights. She is also a very personable lady. I will stay there again if I ever do another road trip out of Heathrow.
Cons: Nothing!! But it is a location that is best stayed in if one is on a road trip.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast very good, rooms tidy
Cons: ... a couple of things
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable spacious room and bath. Beautiful garden. Lounge available for guests. Owner recommended Stag and Hounds Pub, had a good dinner there.
Cons: B&B great but few good options for dinner in walking distance, better if you drive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything really lovely touches like the champagne the racing paper for you every morning the little chocolate in the fridge when you come back at night loved the light in the toilet at night the cleanliness and of course the breakfast
Cons: Couldnt really fault anything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Unbelievable place. I've always been unsure at staying at peoples houses as I have felt I was an intrusion to their personal life, but this was amazing. The added extra touches like - Chilled Water and Fresh Milk in the Fridge, Quality Room and Bathroom Accessories, Quality Towels, Quality Toilet Paper, Reading Books, CD Player, all round just brilliant. When you compare this to a corporate hotel who generally charge 50% more there is no comparison.
Cons: I cannot think of anything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room and it's facilities. Breakfast is so fresh and we'll prepared.
Cons: There was nothing I didn't like. The host was a pleasure as always
10.0 Excellent

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Location, fascilities, extra details, staff, comfort and style,
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best hotel I've ever stayed in. Nothing is too much for the staff and the room is beautiful. Little extra touches make it feel special. Food at the linked restaurant delicious! Would highly recommend this hotel to everyone. I will deffo be going back!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Also a great restraunt.
Cons: Breakfast not included in price!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The Great House is full of character. The decor is great throughout from the bathrooms in rooms to the sofas in the pub area. The garden area with deckchairs were absolutely lovely, it’s a definite magnet for people to lounge outside in the sun. There was a bar/BBQ area situated in the pub garden too; although it wasn’t open when we were there, it’s a good idea instead of going into the actual pub area.
Cons: In terms of value for money, our room was described as a room with a river view; the view was obscured with large metal containers which may/may not have been used for plants. It doesn’t constitute double the price.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I stay here regularly when I am in the area and as usual the staff were excellent. I had a problem with the lights and the phone in my room and the staff were on to it straightaway. I also forgot my toothbrush this trip and I was provided with one at no charge! I just like the feel of the place, that's why I stay here so often. Good sized rooms, powerful and spacious showers, decent night's sleep, All good.
Cons: Nothing really. The menu in the Coppa Club restaurant could do with an upgrade but, that aside, no complaints.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole ambience was lovely and the staff were enthusiastic and friendly. Although we did not have a dog it was nice that it was dog friendly
Cons: The shower floor and bathroom floor was quite slippery and we could not find a shower mat. Otherwise nothing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: My room was lovely, nice and clean! Loved the retro fridge in the room, it had 4 complimentary bottles of water and a little bottle of local fresh milk (for those who drink it). As it was a very warm day, the room had a fan on and the windows were slightly open when I arrived, which I thought was a really nice and thoughtful touch!
Cons: You can't book a room with breakfast included, but the hotel is attached to a lovely bar-restaurant called Coppa Club, where you can make your breakfast order a la carte. I didn't used the service in the morning to rate it, but I was told about it by a friendly lady at the reception. I had dinner with a friend at the restaurant during sunset though, and the atmosphere was excellent.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room staff excellent venue excellent, would highly recommend this hotel.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very easy check in process and very friendly staff. The room was really big and spacious with all the usual facilities you'd expect. It was quite warm so they kindly placed a fan in the room and extra bottles of water in the fridge which was a lovely touch. Also had fresh milk in the fridge for tea and coffee which was a big bonus!

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great as a wedding venue. Excellent food in a wonderful location.
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely river front location, and updated rooms & restaurants.
Cons: No air conditioning. Beautiful view of the River Thames, but if you wanted any privacy you had to close the “room darkening” curtains, which meant you had no light & air and no view. Should have an extra see of airy sheer curtains to give some daytime privacy and still have a view of the gardens and river.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, friendly staff and very clean.
Cons: Noise of aircon from outside all night but no aircon in our room, breakfast not included in price and fridge didn't work.
7.0 Good
Pros: Hot cramped room, stuffy and thus not a good nights sleep! No aircon! I’m sorry but if no aircon and the room is sweaty hot in summer, then advertise as such!! Restaurant, drinks and food excellent. Location stunning.
Cons: Restaurant and location
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location, staff and facilities. Second time i've stayed here, and I would highly recommend.
Cons: The only downside to my stay is that the matress was a little too soft for me, but other than that everything else was amazing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: No everything was good the food the staff
7.5 Good
Pros: Fantastic location...staff friendly
Cons: Tv remote's not working so couldn't use Tv during stay...staff failed to rectify despite me informing them. They added 12.5% service charge to bill in restaurant/bar to food or drinks
9.5 Excellent
Cons: Customer service needs improvement, apparently your staff have had training in customer service recently, however the current approach is letting the whole place down. You have an absolutely amazing location, accommodation was thoroughly enjoyable and second to none, setting was heavenly, the one and only downfall is the lack of confidence in your staff and a general inadequacy of customer care. I suffer with many health problems so we stayed in room no 9, which was fantastic. We will happily return, but I do hope to see an improvement in the customer service. I am a customer service executive, and have worked with many high street businesses, in the current climate its essential to grow your business in this area. In order to keep your customer's returning and spreading positive word of mouth, please continue to invest and improve this area.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The situation being on the river with beautiful gardens helped.
Cons: The price & the fact that there was no breakfast included!! It will be smart when it’s finished but I think that as it’s being refurbished the price should reflect that. Purely my opinion.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location was great as I was having a corporate Gold day on a course just around the corner. Rooms had just been refurbished so very nice. I arrived on an extremely hot day, so some air conditioning would have been nice, but overall a great hotel, that I'm sure will get even better when the current refurbishment work is complete.

Pros: The staff were very professional and attentive and kind enough to let us leave our car for the day when we travelled in to London. Breakfast was excellent. Very convenient for trips to London, bus stop is just outside for a short trip to Reading station and a fast train gets you there in under 30mins. We stayed in a ground floor room which was hot at night but it had been a very warm day and a fan was provided.

Pros: Room was spacious and comfortable Staff were polite Room was very clean Building was lovely No noise from other guests Easy check-in/checkout process
Cons: Breakfast not served until 8am so we missed out/weren't able to breakfast since we needed to set up early. Substantial amounts of road noise all night meant sleep was a bit fitful (our room was at the front, first floor)

Clinton's Green B&B - Bracknell - Bedroom

9.3 Excellent (43 reviews)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous breakfast and comfy bed, the garden is really pretty. I had everything I needed. It was a great location too with free off road parking place. Kathy is thoughtful, helpful and a lovely hostess. I would definitely stay again.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were great. Breakfast was amazing (calling it a Continental Breakfast is selling it short) and the location was perfect.
Cons: Great stay but if there's one thing, I world have liked a desk for me to work on.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast, comfortable room with sky tv and a really friendly and helpful owner who went out of her way to make our stay a good one.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My wife has M S so nice walk in shower and easy access to bedroom, Kathy was so helpful and provided a first class breakfast every day, nothing was too much trouble. Can fully recommend
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Brilliant place. Self contained with its own door a few minutes walk from central Bracknell. Loads of parking and Cathy is a wonderful host. Believe everything you read about the fantastic breakfast.
Cons: What’s not to like ?
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice owner and helpfull
Cons: It was a converted disable residents room attached to the house so wc and sink were very awkward to use also no table in room to eat at and only continental breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: very good location ,close to the Train Station and complex shops , the owner amazing Lady and helpfull ,quaite area ,view by the window to the garden ,breakfast good - for me even too much,Thank you, with pleasure I will be the next time in the hotel !!
Cons: I was happy with staying there
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Kathy was a wonderful hostess, nothing was too much trouble for her. A good hearty breakfast in the mornings with some delightful conversation to boot. I read several negative reviews and all I can say is it is not the Ritz, just a good old B&B. Highly recommended.
Cons: A shower door or curtain is needed. I felt a little bit guilty splashing water everywhere in the bathroom.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything Pretty little annex style room with ensuite and really pretty garden Kathy was the perfect host Very friendly and attentive Breakfast was fab and she even gave us a bottle of prosecco Lovely lady and fabulous 2 night stay Definately recommend
Cons: The toilet took alittle getting used to
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Kathy is very welcoming and ensures that you have everything you need. The accommodation is an annexe fully suitable for disabled travellers. It has its own front door. Very good (continental) breakfast - Kathy went and bought fresh fruit for us. Parking is nearby in (public) marked bays, WiFi worked well. A microwave is supplied. The garden, which you can sit in, is lovely - Kathy's domain! Good location, easy walk into Bracknell and bus connections nearby (Arlington Square) to Reading.
Cons: Nothing. As can be seen from the photos, the double bed is tight up against one outside wall and this does reflect that the accommodation is not spacious. Taking that into account, the B & B is good value in a Thames Valley town (recently rebuilt shopping centre - The Lexicon) and Kathy is a lovely and caring host.

Cons: Parking
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The landlady could not have been more helpful, she saw we had a dog so changed us to a bigger room and even put a dog bed and water bowl in the room for us.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The character of the place Beer selection
Cons: Parking was tight Bar very expensive Noisy delivery early morning
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super staff, comfortable beds, great breakfast!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast, comfy bed/pillows and bed linen. Room decor and overall ambience of room/pub.
6.3 Good
Pros: Friendly welcome at reception, stunning building. Sonning is a lovely location. Breakfast was very good. Bathroom well appointed. I enjoyed my stay and overall the good points about The Bull Inn outweigh the bad.
Cons: Parking at this location is an absolute nightmare. It's at the end of a no through road and with cars parked all the way down the small road opposite it is difficult to get to the car park and then even more difficult to get into very tight spaces. My room was very hot and the bed wasn't very comfortable. The kettle in the room is in desperate need of a descale, very furry, as is the complimentary coffee maker outside the room - the water container was in need of a clean.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Service, location and ambience
Cons: Nothing much
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is the perfect place to stay, to experience the beautiful countryside. The atmosphere at the pub is lovely and you really feel taken care of. The food is also excellent. Family and animal friendly.
6.4 Good

Cons: wifi did not work
8.0 Excellent
Pros: food, beer, quality of room
Cons: n/a
6.3 Good
Pros: the location is perfect for exploring the local area , we like the idea of using the bull as a centre for further exploration , and will use it again in the future
6.0 Good
Pros: Our stay in the Bull Inn was short but memorable. It was a beautiful day so the yard was very busy but fun! Unfortunately we didn't eat in the restaurant so I can't comment on that, although going by the breakfast the food was very fresh and had a good choice! The rooms are nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable!
Cons: Could have done with a fan in the bedroom! Bathrooms could do with a bit of a facelift!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Welcoming, comfortable atmosphere. Accommodating and helpful staff. Great accommodation for visiting the Sonning Mill Theatre.Super breakfast !
Cons: Not suitable for anyone very disabled
5.2 Okay
Pros:
Cons: Rooms 1 and 2 are situated on the first floor directly over the the main to louge bars....the noise is intolerable if you wish to have an early night, peace and quiet or dont like the tv turned up loud to drown out the noise. Please make customers aware of this when booking at this Pub/Hotel....Both these rooms are classified by the Hotel as Executive rooms....Even taking into account the age and history of the Hotel...this is a joke.Standard Doulble room...absolutely nothing 'Executive' about these rooms. And finally...the parking is a nightmare...the Hotel is situated down a cul de sac lane...its first come, first served with just 8 parking spaces in the car park....if you are planning on going out somewhere at night...you cannot return and find a parking space before the bar closes at 11.30....be warned...after 11.30 you,ll find a space...If you,re arriving after 1800 to check in...you,ll not find a parking space for onloading either...its a nightmare.
7.6 Good
Pros: The best breakfast I've had in a hotel this year
Cons: None
6.0 Good
Pros: The food was excellent. We had an evening meal on our first night which was very good. The full English breakfast was exceptional and so much we couldn't finish it.The staff were all really pleasant.
Cons: The bedroom was adequate but the bathroom was really small. There was only space for a shower cubicle, a tiny sink and toilet. There wasn't even space to have a good towel dry in there, you had to step into the bedroom to do that! The other problem was the lighting in the room. It was really dim, very difficult when trying to dry your hair or do your make up, however the bed was really comfortable.
6.8 Good
Pros: Food, location and general service.
Cons: Not exactly bad .... but accommodation could be cheaper - it is after all a pub, notwithstanding its history.
6.0 Good
Pros: Staff were friendly and responsive bathroom was nicely done nice atmosphere in the pub / restaurant good freshly cooked breakfast
Cons: Not much space for guests in the pub car park (lot of it was being used for outdoor seating for the pub). We did find space in the road but we could have been unlucky if arriving later. Despite booking for two people the room was only prepared for one (towels etc) but staff were responsive in sorting. Room size was fine for one night for two people but was on the small size for more than this if staying as two people (virtually no luggage space and we were en route from a holiday so it was a bit cosy)

7.5 Good
Pros: Lovely location with great grounds and nicely furnished rooms. Would be a good venue for a wedding.
Cons: They appeared to be short-staffed when I was there with one person manning the reception and the restaurant at the same time in the morning. Made things a little chaotic at breakfast.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean throughout. Our room was very comfortable, well equipped and pristine. Comfy bed. Staff were very helpful. All in all excellent value for money. Large underground free parking.
Cons: Our only small criticism would be that when we had a drink in the evening although bar meals/snacks could be purchased there was a lack of bar ‘nibbles’ ( e.g nuts or crisps) to purchase with our drinks.
7.5 Good
Pros: The beds were really comfy, the staff are friendly and happy to help.
Cons: It was an expensive rate which I thought would have included breakfast. Breakfast was £19 which is a bit expensive considering it was a standard breakfast buffet style food
9.3 Excellent
Pros: My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the property as it is placed right outside the town shopping center. The apartment itself has very clean bathrooms, and the living room was extremely spacious for my family of four. The land owners were always readily available for any support we needed and were kind enough to help us as we settled in. I would recommend the property to anyone looking to stay around or within Reading.
Cons: As the apartment was placed on the third floor, moving luggage and groceries was a bit of a hassle from time to time. However, this did not affect our overall enjoyment of our stay at the property.

Pros: Room was really well decorated and laid out
Cons: The lifts were a nightmare!!!! Be useful for the staff to advise on how the lifts work. We checked out needed to go down to the basement and ended up on the 6th floor!!!! Crazy and time wasting...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was clean.
Cons: The key cards for the lift were slightly confusing when guests wanted to go to different floors. It took us to the 5th floor first because they'd entered their key card first, going past the 2nd floor even though we'd pressed it. We checked in later around 4-5. A staff member walked into our room to deliver an extra glass for the bathroom, which didn't even look clean, while my partner wasn't fully dressed.

Cons: The roads around the hotel were a bit confusing. GPS recommended.
6.7 Good
Pros: Very comfortable room and first-rate pool/gym facilities.
Cons: I was surprised to have to pay extra for a cup of hot chocolate when I was already paying 15 pounds for breakfast. Also paying for internet connection is surprising in a hotel like this (it's free at the Pentahotel). Given the location allow plenty of time to drive to/from the centre given the traffic in Reading!

Pros: We upgraded to stay in one of the cottages which is across from the main hotel in its own grounds and access to the river Thames. It was delightful and cosy with air con. Mini bar and outside table/chairs if you wanted to eat breakfast outside. Talking of Breakfast it was to die for.
Cons: We could not fault the stay.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Welcoming, helpful staff. Couldn’t have asked for a better front of house service / meet and greet. Beautiful view from my room.
Cons: Over priced for the quality of room. Room & bathroom tired, dated, warn out - in much need of a renovation and a good interior designer. A few lights not working in the bathroom, shower terrible - poor pressure and took ages to even warm up. Cooked breakfast tasted metallic - like it was made with cheap ingredients.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The customer service and location of The French Horn is definitely it’s unique selling point. The staff are excellent and the service is impeccable. We stayed in one of the cottages away from the main house overlooking the river. They look very nice and quaint. The room was nice and easy to access if you come back late. We had a coffee on the terrace by the river and it was very beautiful and peaceful. They didn’t let us pay for the coffee, which was a really nice touch. Much appreciated. We didn’t stay to eat, but the food menu looked incredible. Breakfast delivered to our room in the morning was a great touch and breakfast was nice. The location is amazing with the river and other pubs and bars nearby. Will definitely stay there again and for dinner as well.
Cons: The room could maybe do with a bit of modernising, but it was otherwise very nice, clean and the air conditioning was nice to have on the warm summer evening.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location next to the Thames was brilliant and despite being next to a busy road there was no road noise in the cottage.. Supper was deliccccious!

Pros: Beautiful location and very helpful, efficient and professional staff.
Cons: Associated costs such as the bar and restaurant are pricey. The rooms are a bit dated, but that is also part of the French Horn's charm.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: The main building and the rooms in it are beautiful. The new building and rooms are very contemporary. The staff on reception were brilliant.
Cons: Restaurant staff were very poorly trained, disorganised and slow, at supper as well as breakfast, supper was delicious but breakfast was undercooked, and very disappointing.
5.8 Okay
Pros: breakfast ok, location good, carparking expensive,
Cons: tv in room not working, bathroom was not clean, dusty and found hair in toilet, shower dripping, all reported to reception when we checked out.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff and service; spacious king/queen room; location in town centre.
Cons: The hotel’s road is a little dark at night time; a bin is needed in the room not just the toilet. Thank you.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The service was lovely. The cleanliness and the spaciousness were above average and the room was beautiful.
Cons: It wasnt evident that we had to order breakfast in bed before 3am, only if you read the breakfast order on the table. But they do accomodate you if you have forgotten.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: loved every minute of our stay
7.0 Good
Cons: Room was not available for one hour after arrival and we arrived at nine pm Twenty pounds for parking No water was supplied in the room
6.3 Good
Pros: Impressive building and very clean. The room was lovely, with good facilities.
Cons: Yes, the room was nice, but my wife and I didn’t expect two single beds pushed together. The shower drain was reported as it was full of hair, meaning the water flooded when using the shower. There was no Wi-fi throughout our stay and the staff couldn’t provide any update or expectation of when it may be fixed. There was one member of staff present at breakfast. Our plates piled up as we ate, as they weren’t cleared away. The poached eggs were hard and the advertised pastries and milk etc at breakfast just didn’t exist. All in all we felt the place was nice, but the quality of service - which makes for a 5 star experience - was sadly lacking. A disappointment I’m afraid, sorry.
6.8 Good
Pros: Good location and facilities
Cons: Room was ridiculously hot, we booked the best suite they had and didn’t notice that this came without air con (some of the cheaper rooms had it) meaning we hardly slept. They provided us with a cooler, but whilst it blew out cool air, it blew out hot air out of the back and given the power sockets in the room, we couldn’t get it anywhere near the bed so it didn’t really cool the room Also the staff at breakfast on the Saturday were poor, ordered tea and toast, which never came despite asking a couple of times before giving up
7.5 Good
Pros: Prompt attention to toilet issue
Cons: Slow service at breakfast
7.0 Good
Pros: The room was spacious and clean
Cons: No guide to help me to my room with heavy luggage and not that informative or friendly at Reception when I checked in just left me to it saying the room was in the other building

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The decor and comfort of room and the bath
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location as was close to train station. To be in London (Paddington) and being in your hotel room within 30 mins, is very convienient.
Cons: I stayed in a suite (Rocket) but the stairway leading to the bathroom on a higher floor was very noisy. So noisy that each time I went to use the toilet during the night, it woke-up my partner.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were great the beds were comfy and it was very clean
6.3 Good
Pros: Great location in the centre of Reading. Breakfast was very good, but having booked a room with breakfast and happily paid the extra to upgrade the room and add breakfast, I object to staff pointedly telling me that I have elected to have a "continental breakfast" when that was neither a choice or an option. To be fair the so-called continental breakfast was a quite good buffet breakfast, but it soured the experience because it suggests that the customer has picked the cheap or budget option, and everything, I am talking menu and staff here, was geared to getting me spend more money.
Cons: Our first room was very nice to look at, but it was like walking into a sauna. The air-conditioning was not sufficient to cool the room when the sun was beating on the glass front. This was clearly a known problem because there was a room key permanently inserted in the "key card slot". We made reception aware, they handled it professionally but asked us to wait in the room while they sorted it out. 25 minutes later and nobody had arrived. Did I mention that it was like a sauna? Well we headed back to reception, a staff member arrived shortly afterwards and took us to an accessible room on the lower ground floor. This was at least cool, but the bathroom walls and floor were in need of an industrial clean. I could not tell if it had just been decorated or was about to be decorated. The quirky messaging around the hotel, "Do Not Disturb/Clean my Room" became "Hop it/Mop It", so turn of the century.
6.8 Good
Pros: Hotel itself was very nice with friendly staff and in a good location
Cons: Property was booked as listed with parking available but this was not the case. Pre arranged with reception for parking and was informed someone would contact me but this never happened resulting in parking far away at a cost and getting taxi but no offer to compensate my addition charges.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Tv wasn’t working at all Air conditioning didn’t work at all
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything was lovely friendly staff and very sweet.
Cons: The bed was really hard, I'm light and slept on top of the quilt which cushioned me a bit so not an issue but someone else may not like the bed so hard
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Love the Malmaison hotel chain. its modern and vibrant.
Cons: a tad dark in the bathroom mood lighting a bit too dark......
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
7.3 Good
Pros: I loved the style and theme of the hotel - Luxury throughtout
Cons: It would have been nice to have a later check out and to have water availabe in the room - not part of the mini bar and a few more toiletries& extras such as dressing gown. Paid extra for the Superior Double Room but couldnt really see what I was paying for as we ended up staying in one of the rooms with disability asscess. This meant the room was bigger by deafult because of its purpose
7.0 Good
Pros: I thought the room was up to a high standard, very clean.
7.7 Good
Pros: The room was fantastic. Very nice bathroom too.
Cons: The lighting in the brasserie was too low. Even at breakfast it was very dark.

6.4 Good
Pros: Great service from staff
Cons: Expensive bar
7.2 Good
Pros: Friendly professional and relaxed atmosphere
Cons: Breakfast charging top heavy for a colleague who only joined me for coffee. Should have been told he had to pay full buffet rate
8.0 Excellent
Pros: free internet access, good food and staying in a place where staff take pride in where they work
Cons:
7.2 Good
Pros: The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was lovely and beautifully comfortable. Very relaxing decor throughout.
Cons: The difficulty and time we had getting there and finding the hotel would prevent me from returning. We rang the hotel all morning for directions and parking availability but the phone was not answered. The hotel was very very warm and felt the mini bar facility of having to go down to reception seemed rather tacky. Disappointed if comparing with a stay at any Hotel du Vin.
7.2 Good
Pros: The rooms was excellent as were the facilities in the hotel. The only disappointment was the dinner (see below).
Cons: The main courses were not as good as we expected. The starters were terrific, a little large if anything, which led us to believe that the main course would be similar. Very disappointed with the main course. My partner expected more than one small potato.
