Founded in 1827, and fully refurbished in 2011, Hotel Jagerhorn is the city s oldest standing hotel. Its unique location, nestled between the city s main pedestrian street and the old town, provides guests with a peaceful and relaxed surrounding at just a stone s throw from the main Ban Jela i square, the heart of the city. Enjoy a quiet drink by the fountain, or admire the view of the upper town, from the beautiful summer terrace a natural oasis defying its urban surroundings. The beautifully refurbished rooms are all equipped with free wifi and free nearby private parking is secured. With its friendly staff and warm home-away-from-home atmosphere, the Jagerhorn provides you with the perfect platform to explore the city and neighboring attractions.
If I am correct the hotel is the oldest hotel of Zagreb. The hotel is clean and the people are friendly but for me it was not what I expected as I was looking more for a business hotel. The hotel did not have an elevator, the parking is 5 minutes walking and you cannot get to the hotel with your car as the street is a walking street. Also the hotel is hard to find as it is located in a old shopping mall. Personally I would advice this hotel to tourists who want to be in the centre of the city without having to pay a high cost.
Good location if travelling without car
Room had unpleasant smell coming from bathroom and flooring was noisy. No possibility to alter heating of room - sometimes it was cold. Possibly due to cold weather outside dining-room was wintery as well.
Very warm and attencious staff
Nothing in the mini-bar; old beds.
The place where the hotel is great
Everything was fine.
The location is superb and the staff (almost all of them) extremely helpful!
The facilities are a bit worn, but if you don't expect luxury it's ok. And the location makes up for any defects!
The staff is very friendly and helpful, they are really very nice people. The hotel is in the center of Zagreb.
The location was perfect, just below the old town. The staff were pleasant and helpful and we were given a small suite, although we only booked a double room. Excellent value.
The guide book recommended the hotel restaurant, but unfortunately this has now closed.
It would be hard to be more central Zagreb than that... and the staff, in our case anyway, were not simply staff, they became friends.
the breakfast saloon is decorated very nice; breakfast meal was good and various
the hotel is situated on a pedestrian street / no auto access; a little bit of distance for carrying the luggage from the parking
Close to the sights we wanted to see. Nice and helpful staff.
