Pros: Such a sweet place. Spotlessly clean. Smells clean and IS clean. I reserved a private room for one person and got a double bed. I contacted property via bookings help line to ask if I could drop my backpack off earlier (at 11am) as check in time is 2pm. I received msg to say ; “of course you can”. When I arrived ., Sandra was so easy, friendly and kind. My room was almost ready at 11am so she checked me in then. This was great. I could get myself sorted and make the most of my day in the most beautiful city. So much culture history and great food. The whole property is a breeze to access. The decorations are really sweet.
Cons: I liked it all. The only thing one ‘might ‘ comment on was size /space. Perfect for me but may be small bathroom if you’re a large man.

Cons: Within a block of the hotel are three after hours bars. One closes at 3:30 am. The other two close at 4:30 am. 7.5 Good
Pros: The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Great location to see the sights of Zamora.
Cons: We had an issue because we were not aware of the additional charge for a pet because when we made the reservation we asked and were told there was no additional charges. In the end, the hotel resolved the misunderstanding for us and this shows good customer service on their part. The walls are very thin and as we stayed on a Saturday there was a group half on our floor and half on the floor above us and they were continually going up and down the stairs and listening to loud music well past midnight.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We booked this room literally as we sat at a cafe around the corner. Didn’t really know what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised. Spacious, clean, two separate beds, and great location.
Cons: The only downside is that I selected it on booking.com because AC was listed (it was blistering hot in Zamora that day). Our room didn’t have AC but there was a fan that helped a little. I noticed an AC control unit in the hallway near the elevator so someone had AC ... but it wasn’t us.
7.1 Good
Pros: The reception staff were very smiley and friendly. The location is excellent, there are great taparerias within a few metres.
Cons: Our non smoking room stank of smoke. It was ok after two days with the window open. The shower head was heavily scaled. The shower door didn't close properly. The hotel was by far the most expensive that we had booked in Spain over a four week trip and was very poor value for money.
7.9 Good
Pros: Good price and clean room - halfway between station and cathedral. It’s got a little tapas bar downstairs and a few others nearby... about 20 minutes on door to the marvellous cathedral.
Cons: Rooms a bit poky.

Parador de Zamora - Zamora - Building

8.7 Excellent (2,137 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Parador de Zamora in Zamora, you'll be just steps from Estatua de Viriato and Ethnographic Museum. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Parador de Zamora is set in an old palace right on the main square. It is in wonderful shape and furnished according to a "palace" style. Although parking was nearby the concierge said it was confusing so he parked our car for us. We took an upgrade and fully enjoyed a large room with a canopied bed, sitting area and window over the main square. I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the different atmospheric common areas as well. The town is walk-able with an old church (alas closed when we were there), the ruins of a castle which we were able to walk around, and numerous restaurants. There is a wonderful museum with the religious floats used during their famous Holy Week parades. They are amazing.
Cons: Finding the parador was a little difficult (as it was with most of the paradors) but worth it. They were setting up the main square for a market the next day. I would have loved to stay for it but retrieving our car during the market would have been a problem so we left before it started.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Classic Parador - location; service; room & food
5.0 Okay
Pros: Beautiful hotel. Excellent location.
Cons: No air conditioning in whole of hotel at this time of year despite being advertised as a facility available. Room very hot and stuffy - over 25 degrees C. No way of cooling the room except sleeping with window wide open all night. Raining outside and workmen early morning. Very noisy. Night receptionist couldn’t do anything to help. Dreadful nights sleep ahead of a long day’s drive the next day. Chose high quality hotels as part of our trip across Spain and we were looking forwards to staying here but very let down by the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very nice and helpful. Excellent value for money.
Cons: Not a thing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Splendid old building, typical parador. Regrettably our ferry was very late, so we didn't arrive in time for dinner - but breakfast was excellent. The room was large and comfortable - good bathroom. Front desk very helpful in finding us parking nearby (garage was full, but we parked at the back of the hotel easily for 2 euros!). Location very convenient - a short walk took you along pedestrianised streets to shops, and this is a charming old city. We used it only as a one night stop en route to Portugal, and would certainly do so again.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A fantastic building in a fabulous situation.
6.3 Good
Pros: Nice place clean and centr
Cons: Parking is a. Issue breakfast good selection but all so called English breakfast were stone cold
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Large comfortable room in a stunning hotel with beautiful antique details. Loved the copper and ceramic pots!
Cons: The temperature in the large corridors was too low (November)

Pros: Not bad breakfast and the chambermaids were lovely and very helpful. Last night's and this morning's receptionist was nice too.
Cons: The power went off in our room in the night and the ac stopped working. This happened again the next night and woke us both up being so hot. The receptionist on check out did reduce our bill but it spoilt our stay.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Location
Cons: Advertises sauna and jacuzzI . These were never able unless booked a day ahead . Stair carpet thread bear in entrance and on stairs . . Only one receptionist therefore long queues . No manager there or access to one . Window curtains badly needed washing. .Definitely not worth 4 star rating
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The front desk staff spoke fluent English and were very helpful and cheerful in answering all our questions. It was about a 20 minute walk from the train station but worth it as the hotel was in the historic district. The room was spacious with comfortable beds and sheets and the bathroom was large and the shower had great pressure. The breakfast was nicely adequate. A great value.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The beds where comfortable. The breakfast was good and reasonably priced.
Cons: The bedroom was tired particularly the bathroom which need completely refurbishing . The area was noisy (Friday night) the noise in the streets went on until 5am. The bar was disappointing didn’t even sell a Cava Staff ok but not particularly friendly.

Pros: The rooms are beautifully furnished, and the hotel centrally located in the lovely old town. Gustavo on reception spoke excellent English and was extremely helpful.. especially in making the room much cooler overnight for us. The restaurant is excellent but unfortunately not open on a Sunday evening. We highly recommend this hotel.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely beautiful 15th century building with a very interesting history, as the house belonged to a Jewish family before it was taken over by an inquisitor from Toledo. On the ground level the house still features the original Mikveh for Jewish ritual baths. Great location by the river. Very friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Strong Wifi in most parts of the building. For those traveling in winter: good heating! I would love to come back.
Cons: The Wifi while strong in most parts of the building was a bit weak in my room (101).

Pros: This is the most beautiful place to stay, a hotel in a building with a fascinating history. The staff are proud of their place and love to share it with you. A little bit of luxury on our Camino.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The historical building is gorgeous and the staff take pride in sharing its history. Really conveys the feeling of being in a Palazzo. Rooms and bathrooms superb. Small but comfortable bar to sit and chat. So close to old Town and river and museums yet in a very quiet location.
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The historical setting, the antique decorations, the beautiful furnishings and views
Cons: a little problem with cleanliness
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great, welcoming staff. Historic building with character. The building has been well maintained. We were on the top floor, so we had the beautiful slanted ceiling with the wood beams. Clean room, comfortable bed and bedding. Fresh sheets and towels. Bathroom large with great water pressure. Loved the old windows. We only had coffee in the morning which I have to say was one of the best I've had in Spain but we did see the breakfast and it looked pretty good. They do not have parking BUT there is parking area not far from the hotel. Hotel is located close to all the attractions and city center and it faces the Roman Bridge; perfect. Highly recommend it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the beautiful old building with is stone floors in the courtyard and beautiful tile work. The location is great: right across the street from the Duero river and the stone bridge. The cathedral and castle are just up the hill, a beautiful walk through the old part of town.
Cons: Because the building is so old the toilet gave off a funny smell when the lid was open, which didn’t bother me, but could bother someone who doesn’t appreciate the charm of an old building.
7.9 Good
Pros: Friendly staff. Beautiful location in front of the river.
Cons: Very weak internet signal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was attentive, nicely located five minutes from the plaza mayor, yet quite at night. Bar available for coffee and drinks, quality buffet breakfast. We had a lovely view of the river Duero- 200 feet away. The interior was decorated beautifully with historical paintings and sculptures. Two pilgrims on the Via de la Plata
Cons: We really enjoyed our three night stay.
