Excellent location, lovely and friendly staff, rooms clean, over all very good hotel. the only think is when we came they gave us room on the side where the car park is. The room was small and for the money too expensive. Next day we asked for room on the other side with a lovely view of the mountains. What a difference. Rooms much bigger and most have balcony!!! So if you do stay ask for the rooms with the view of the village/mountains.
It's isolation, very relaxing We had a double bed but with two single duvets on it???!! Not very romantic!!! Would have been nice to have one kingsize duvet to go with the bed. That's my only complaint though..
Very good hotel, lovely view from our hotel room
common spaces are really nice and probably redone recently the room furniture and bathroom appliances very very old fashioned and needing refurbishing immediately
free use of sauna/pool
Nice old hotel in a good place but a litle "cold".The people at the reseption are very nice, but they dont speak very good english, same in restaurant. The water in swiming pool and jacuzi is cold, after a day at ski place you want a warm swiming pool! In sauna men and women stay together...
I enjoyed the atmosphere and the history of the hotel. I like the service and the lounge the most where I can stay there for a piece of cake and a pot of tea during the early night reading a book by the fireplace.
Food was good Didn't fix my broken phone, didn't provide room service, poor concierge service, didn't inform me i was due a discount as part of a wedding party
it was an interesting hotel in an interesting little town the rooms weren't as nice as I expected for the price. Our room was quite small without great features.
the retro feeling the toilet paper was rubbish and the shower was also rubbish
Price is accorndingly with the hotel services and quality. They have a place to rent ski equipment which is very convenient.
service, disponibility of personnel quite old furnitures
The location. And though its christmas time, the restaurant n bar were open, so no issues.
Nothing outstanding about the hotel! The hotel was very basic and did not match the description on the internet.
Friendly reception who tried hard to help. Basic rooms for a 3-star hotel. Quality of fittings weren't great.
Friendly staff, old fashioned decor, good breakfast, plenty choice. Easy reach from the station and the town. Not far from Aqua City.
Staff very helpful and cooperative, making decisions to resolve issues that resulted in a worry-free stay. Very convenient location for both stations and city amenities. Buffet breakfast beyond what we expected for a budget hotel.
In walking distance to Aqua Park, Resturants & Town Centre The room served its purpose but was very out dated compared to reception, Bar & Resturant. Slow Service at Reception.
Top class location for both mountain walks in summer and skiing in winter.beds and room very comfortable. Classiest hotel in the area.
Very comfortable hotel and were made to feel very welcome. Great attention to detail.
style of hotel wellness centre and service
The town itself and the surroundings were beautiful.. The restaurant and breakfast were impressive! Reception staff weren't too friendly and didn't seem to answer the phones... Friends were trying to call the hotel relentlessly and would get no answer!
Beautiful old hotel, from the North side marvellous view to the highest summits. Traditional café and restaurant. Next to "lanovka". On the 3th floor thin walls, everything can be heard from the next room. First the room was rather cold as on of the radiators was full of air, I have repaired it myself. Gaps on wall and wallpaper.
Location is perfect, in the middle of Stary Smokovec. Pool and sauna are very nice. Hotel staff at reception is not friendly / helpfull. Bathroom is very simple: only a bath without even a screen or curtain: bathroom is all wet after a shower! Hotel restaurant was closed because of a wedding. There are certainly better options considering price/quality.
Goralturist really is the place to stay after a long day of hiking or skiing in the Tatra mountains! The pension is situated in a beautiful surrounding of the village and the mountains. The owners really care about their guests and the cozy restaurant serves delicious breakfasts and dinners! Also very spacious and cleam room! The bus stops 100 meters away, which allows you to go to Zakopane or to the other villages in the High Tatras. So to be short- really recommended!
We stayed out of season and our hosts could not do enough for us, cooking dinner and providing a good breakfast.
Very friendly staff, affordable, nice view, fresh air The village itself is situated quite far away from any city
This is a family run business and a great value for your money. Pleasing clients is a priorty for this young and energetic family. This beautifully hand-crafted facility is new, clean and located in a foothill village setting overlooking a backdrop of tall mountains. The cuisine is authentic and tastful.
familiar, clean, comfortable nothing
Very nice exterior and interior of the building (incl. room); cheap 2-course dinner w/free tea; good breakfast (choice of several breakfast menus); staff willing to prepare breakfast well earlier in the morning. Quite far (ca. 2.5 km) from the centre of the village (e.g. post office) - however nice walk...
Beautiful location, the owners were great, they made us feel so very welcome and helped us with choosing places to visit . Breakfast was good. This must come highly recommended!
Beautiful location. Excellent value for money.
meals, service there was no tv in room,
Very pleasant and spotless hotel - excellent location & friendly/helpful owner - inc diner and is excellent value for money Nothing
Very helpful staff.
Very frendly owner, very close to mountain trails and other nice places of Tatras
Very friendly couple keeping this hotel. Nice view to the mountains. Slighly long walk to the village center.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Location was ideal for discovering the High Tatras. Would stay again.
