It's the location which I loved about this place if I want to describe it's little bit outskirts of city not more than 3 km from main station hbf. It's really hard to describe how it looks like but I would say it's a wonderful place. I shared my room with four different nationals and they happen to be all students, we got to know each other very well and we spent a day going to City to hangout. It was only a night stay for me but I really had a fantastic time. Nonetheless there was Patrick who made this day even much better.

There is nothing bad to say about this place.

Comfortable beds. Breakfast okay. About 10 minutes drive from the motorway which is convenient. Clean and fairly good value for money although could be a bit cheaper for the facilities it provides.

No towels included (can be rented for a few euros extra though). Building is up the hill and parking is a little walk away from the building down the hill along the public road. No lift in the part of the building we stayed at.

Have to be in before 1am, door is closed after that time. Too early checkout (before 10) and breakfast (until 9) Bad breakfast overall and there’s something they call orange juice, which is downright poison (some sort of extremely chemical tasting powder / water mix - the worst orange ‘lemonade’ you’ve ever tasted. AND: At 9.20 in the morning the cleaning lady knocked on the door (that’s already not done) and without awaiting answer from me, she opened the door with her key - while my key was in the lock from the inside of the room- walked up to my bed where I was lying barely awake to tell me that there were other people arriving soon that needed the room from 10am and ordering me to leave the room at 10. (The whole complex was virtually empty on the 3rd of January) Now tell me: a barely German not English speaking cleaning lady walking up to your bed at 9.20 in the morning telling you to leave the room in time!! Overall: probably the worst sleeping experience ever - and I spend a lot of time in hotels - this was the first time Youth Hostel though. I had a private room by the way, for € 40,- , for about € 10,- more you can stay in any other decent hotel in the town CENTER, with a lot better facilities, times and breakfast.

Far from centre, & no one in town knew where bus stop (200m from station) was, nor how to get from bus stop at other end to hostel. Unfriendly staff. No kitchen, not allowed to eat in rooms but nowhere else to eat own food (in fact own food not allowed); yet far from shops, cafes or restaurants; hostel restaurant seemed to need booking & to only serve supper at 6pm (!). So could only recommend it for young families with cars ... which seems to be who it attracted (they can supply high chairs for breakfast) Cold room - had not put heating on despite it being little over 0ºC Tiny towel = 1€60 for 1 night (could buy it for that?); shower room stank & only had a fixed shower head Overall v. officious (enter suited for scouts in 1970s?), with notices telling you 'Only 2 rolls per person' and 'It is forbidden to take any food out of the dining room', etc.
